Emily

Emily (Japanese: アヅミ Azumi) is a character of the day who appeared in Sitting Psyduck.

Emily is a fairly wealthy Trainer who lives in a large mansion in Kanto with her Psyduck. However, she had a problem with her Pokémon constantly running away from her. When Ash and his friends were invited to her mansion, they soon discovered the reason behind Psyduck's constant escaping; it wanted to play outside, but Emily wouldn't let it, believing it would get Psyduck dirty.

Later, after Team Rocket came to her house, James's Cacnea challenged Psyduck to a battle. After some convincing and recalling the moves her Psyduck knew, Emily allowed the battle to start. After Team Rocket was defeated, Emily slowly began to realize that Psyduck loved playing outside, and she agreed to let it do so. She too began to enjoy the outdoors and was inspired to set off on her own journey.

Emily's Psyduck
Psyduck
Psyduck was unhappy because Emily would not let it play outside. After having had enough, it began to run away. Ash and his friends rescued Psyduck when it was being pursued by Emily's other Pokémon, who were determined to bring it home again. During its brief time with the group, it enjoyed the freedom of playing outside.

Later, while Ash and his friends visited Emily's mansion, Psyduck instantly returned to being withdrawn and sad. Later, Team Rocket attacked, with James's Cacnea challenging Psyduck to a battle. However, Psyduck was able to incapacitate Team Rocket, with Pikachu sending them blasting off. Emily soon began to understand what Psyduck really wanted and allowed Psyduck to have fun outside.
