Release information
This card was initially made exclusively for the Pokémon Trading Card Game for the Game Boy Color and was never printed as an actual card in any language until its release in Pokémon Web.
Trivia
- This card was likely created to replace Electrode from Base Set, because of its confusing (and potentially difficult to program) Pokémon Power.
- This card displays a 'GB' symbol in place of the Expansion symbol, indicating it was created exclusively for the Game Boy.
- This is only one of three Game Boy-exclusive cards that were later made actual cards. The others are Tangela and Dragonite.
Origin
SonicBoom is a move in the Pokémon games that Electrode can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Yellow.
