Trivia
- Riding on Lapras replaces Pokémon Ondo as the ending.
- During the second battle, Type: Wild is used as background music. In the dub, the full version of Pokémon World is used in its place.
Errors
- In the scene when the group is on Tad's ship, there is a coloring error in which Tracey's head band is painted green instead of pink.
- After Charizard saves Pikachu, Ash congratulates it and he has his jacket and hat on, even though he didn't have them before Pikachu's rescue seconds ago. Also they are seen magically disapearing again a few seconds later.
Dub edits
- This episode was aired before Misty Meets Her Match! in the U.S. causing some confusion on when Ash actually obtained his 3rd badge. It caused even more confusion when U.S. fans saw Ash's Charizard disobeying him once more after the airing of this episode.
- When saving Pikachu and Ash from Team Rocket, the Pokédex identifies Charizard's new attack as Rage when it was actually Dragon Rage.
