Destiny Deoxys (manga)

Destiny Deoxys is the manga adaption of the the movie of the same name. It was revealed in two issues of CoroCoro in June and July 2004, then officially released in graphic novel form on July 17, 2004. It was written by Takashi Teshirogi, writer of the manga Ash and Pikachu.

Differences between the anime and the manga
The manga was rather infamous for the amount of differences to the film that it adapted. While the previous and future mangas had minimal differences between it and its source, the manga adaptation had a lot of significant changes, as listed below:
- Team Rocket only appears once.
- A Block Bot is replaced with a robot dog but changed to a Block Bot later on.
- Deoxys and Rayquaza's battle is changed.
- Munchlax has a different role in the manga than the anime.
- Professor Lund's assistant Yuko is replaced with a villainous male assistant named Haruno.
