Dark Metal Energy (Japanese: ダークメタルエネルギー Dark Metal Energy) is a Special Energy card first released in the EX Team Rocket Returns expansion.

Card text

Attach Dark Metal Energy to 1 of your Pokémon. While in play, Dark Metal Energy provides Energy and Energy, but provides only 1 Energy at a time. (Doesn't count as a basic Energy card when not in play and has no effect other than providing Energy.)

Release information

In Japan, this card was reprinted as one of the PCG-P Promotional cards awarded to those who participated in the Point Get Battle at the Spring 2005 Battle Roads.

Trivia

Along with Aqua Energy and Magma Energy, it is one of the only dual-typed Energy cards. It is also the only one among them that provides only one Energy.

Origin

This Energy card is an amalgamation of the two TCG types that were not introduced in the Base Set.
