Some Bulbapedia members have formed a project to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about decks in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page or the Bulbapedia forum and, sometime in the near future, see Bulbapedia:Project Decks/To-do list. For now, since the To-do list isn't done, project members can work on things that are redlinked here. Right now, ideally, we'd like to get done everything that's linked to there.

Project Decks

Scope and aims

Project Decks covers all entries and articles about Theme Decks and Deck archetypes of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Its goal is to produce the most comprehensive database on the decks used by players of the game.

Project Guidelines

When writing a new article, use this as a guideline. Be sure to fill in the History and Strategy sections, leaving all others blank if desired. DO NOT simply delete the other subheadings, as they will be filled in by another writer. If possible, also fill in the Cards section with a brief summary of the key cards in the deck and why they are used, a la Eeveelutions. Use Beat Up as a good example of a nearly completed article.

Link templates

These link templates are particularly useful for making lists of the cards available in the different sets or theme decks.

• {{TCG}} - This link template is for anything that appears widely in the TCG. All decks should, in their article name, be suffixed with (TCG), much like articles on Pokémon species for Project Pokédex are with (Pokémon). An article on the Haymaker archetype would be at Haymaker (TCG), linked as {{TCG|Haymaker}}. Additionally, cards that appear in many sets, such as energy cards, should be linked with this template.

• {{TCG ID}} - This link template is for cards which appear in only certain sets, such as Pokémon cards and trainer cards. To use this link template, type in {{TCG ID|Set Name|Card Name|Number}}. For example, {{TCG ID|Base Set|Charizard|4}} would result in Charizard.
