In Japan, this card was released as part of the Collection Challenge, a campaign that saw the release of several promotional cards through events during the Summer of 2008. This card was given to competitors of the Gym Challenge in July 2008.

Whirlpool is a move in the Pokémon games that Buizel can learn. Super Fast seems to be based on Agility, also a move Buizel can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Pearl.
