Trivia

• The original Japanese version of the card initially allowed Brock's Ninetales to use the Pokémon Powers of the card that was attached to it via Shapeshift. This was later errata'd in Japan, and the errata was included in foreign releases of the card. The Shapeshift power was still a rulings nightmare, similar to Ditto, despite the errata.

Origin

• In the anime, Brock had a Vulpix before he returned it to Suzy. It never has been shown to have evolved, though it was offered a Fire Stone to do so.
• Will-O-Wisp is a move in the Pokémon games that Ninetales can learn if Vulpix learns it before evolving.
