Beat Up (R & S) is the updated and weakened version of the Neo Genesis "Beat Up" deck archetype. It is based on Sneasel ex from EX Ruby & Sapphire. This version is considered weaker than its original because the Sneasel used here is a Pokémon-ex card, and it requires 3 energy to use its "Beat Up" attack.
History
The new version of Beat Up was devised in 2003 after the release of the EX Ruby & Sapphire TCG set. Remembering the original Beat Up archetype, players attempted to recreate the deck using Sneasel ex. However, it never placed especially well in tournaments.
