Ataro (Japanese: エーたろう Etaro) is one of the Pokémon owned by Gold in the Pokémon Adventures manga.

History

Aipom is one of the family Pokémon at Gold's home that he grew up with. Like Gold, he is mischievous. Ataro's tail allows him to hold items and use many different tricks and tactics in battles.

In the Emerald arc, Ataro used Gold's billiard cue to power up Explotaro's attack on Guile Hideout. In battle, he is mostly used for distraction, not being very powerful. He is also used to build up stats to Baton Pass to Utaro.
