The sprawling beach of Route 109 is a great place to work on a tan, while people and Pokémon alike enjoy ocean swims in this water route. Refreshments are available at the Seashore House.
Trainers with a PokéNav by their names will be registered in the Trainer's Eyes or Match Call function after the first battle, and may have a rematch with the player with higher-level Pokémon.
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.
The hut on the beach's west side is known as the Seashore House, where refreshments are sold to thirsty beachgoers. Defeat all three Trainers inside, then speak to the owner, Mr. Sea. He rewards your effort with a free six-pack of Soda Pop! From this point on, you can also buy individual bottles for $300 each.
Slateport City
Slateport City
Slateport City is located between Route 109 to the south, Route 110 to the north, and Route 134 to the east. An abundant food supply fueled the growth of the local market. People from many different regions gather and mingle in this bustling port city.
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location in the specified game. A white background with a colored letter means that the Pokémon cannot be found here.
In addition, the woman standing next to the Energy Guru will award an Effort Ribbon to a Trainer's lead Pokémon, if the Pokémon has been fully trained.
Secret shop
A man on the north side runs a secret shop. He belongs to a group of Secret Power enthusiasts, and will only do business with his fellow members. He tells you that one of these other members will give you a TM containing the move, and advises you to return and show it to him afterward. Do so to prove your connection to the group, and the man will then offer Secret Base decorations for sale.
A TV reporter named Gabby can be seen talking to another Trainer. If you speak to her, she notices how close you are with your lead Pokémon and asks for an interview about it. Use the easy chat system to give her a great interview and you may see yourself on TV!
If your lead Pokémon is friendly enough, you can receive a Soothe Bell by speaking to the woman near the back wall.
Speak to the club's chairman to have him examine your lead Pokémon. If any of its five Contest conditions are high enough, he will reward you with a Scarf in a corresponding color. When held during a Pokémon Contest, a Pokémon earns bonus points if the Scarf it wears matches the type of Contest—Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart, or Tough—in which it is competing.
Name Rater
The house to the north of the Fan Club building is home to the Name Rater. This elderly man has the power to evaluate and change your Pokémon's nicknames as often as you would like. However, he cannot change a Pokémon's nickname if it first belonged to someone else.
Contest Hall, Lobby
Contest Hall
The northwestern-most building is the local Contest Hall. There are four of these buildings scattered across Hoenn, and aspiring Pokémon Contest winners must visit each in order to progress. The circuit begins at the Normal Rank Contest Hall, where Trainers may register themselves and participate in Normal Rank competitions. Normal Rank winners may then participate in increasingly prestigious Contests, moving up to Super Rank, then Hyper Rank, and finally Master Rank competitions. The Slateport City location happens to be the Hyper Rank Contest Hall, so it is impossible to enter a Contest here without first winning at the Normal and Super Ranks first.
Lobby
Speak to the little girl to the left of the entrance. She happens to have a second Pokéblock Case, and gives you the spare. This case holds up to 40 Pokéblocks, which are pieces of candy that improve a Pokémon's condition for Pokémon Contests. Pokéblocks are made by using a Berry Blender; there are two of these devices in each of the four Contest Halls. By working with others, users aim to mix up high-quality candy for their Pokémon.
Slateport Harbor
Slateport Harbor is located in the city's northeast district. A sign outside informs visitors that a new ferry, the S.S. Tidal, is under construction in the local shipyard, and that service is scheduled to begin soon.
Standing Room Only
The Oceanic Museum stands in the east-central part of the city. It is impossible to enter at first, due to a line of Grunts from Team MagmaR/Team AquaS waiting to get in.
Stern's Shipyard
1F
Stern's Shipyard is located in the southeast part of the city. Inside, you find Captain Stern's assistant, Dock, looking over plans for the new ferry that is under construction here. He notices that you have the Devon Goods, but says that Stern had work to do and went off somewhere. He asks if you could find the captain and deliver the Goods to him.

Oceanic Museum
By the time you visit the shipyard, the group of Grunts has made its way into the building. Pay the $50 entrance fee to follow them inside. Those that cannot afford it will be mistaken as part of "the group that came in earlier", and allowed in for free.
1F
The Oceanic Museum features many maritime exhibits. The first floor displays samples of soil and beach sand, and simulations of whirlpools and waterfalls. The Grunts are more interested in the exhibits than battling with you, so speak to them in an effort to gauge their intentions. Talk to the Grunt near the entrance to give him a shock; it is the same guy you fought back in Rusturf Tunnel! He has learned not to mess with you, and begs forgiveness with TM46 (Thief) before fleeing the building.
2F
Ambush!
The second floor displays submarine and ferry models, a diaroma of the Hoenn region, and water samples of the distant Kanto and Johto regions. Speak to Captain Stern, who is glad to see the parts for his new ferry that he ordered from Mr. Stone. But before you can hand over the Devon Goods, you are attacked by two Grunts! They are here to steal the parts for their boss, so defeat one after the other to thwart their objective. Shocked at their failure, the two begin to plan their next move when a stranger appears. It is their group's leader, MaxieR / ArchieS! He asks why you insist on meddling in their plans, and explains what he calls his group's noble cause. He lets you off easy this time, but warns against interfering with their future plans.
Once the boss and his subordinates flee, Captain Stern thanks you for your help and accepts delivery of the Devon Goods. He explains that a planned expedition to the ocean floor is rapidly approaching, and hurries off to prepare.
Route 110

The Trick House is located near the path to Route 103. The building's owner, the Trick Master, is a good-natured prankster. Traveling through the lengthy Route 110 can become tedious, so he enjoys decorating his home as a funhouse in order to entertain visitors. After clearing the current puzzle, he will soon begin planning the next one. He will eventually dream up a total of eight different puzzles.
When you step inside the first room, you get the feeling that someone is watching you. The mischievous Trick Master is hiding somewhere! Search the room until you find him, when he accepts your challenge and disappears. Certain field moves are required for most of the mazes, so you will need to return later to complete the rest.
Inside the Maze
Once he leaves, examine the scroll on the wall to find a secret passage that leads to a sprawling maze. Navigate through the maze, collecting items and battling Trainers along the way, as you search for a rolled-up scroll with a secret code. Examine the door on the far side of the maze to write the code on it, which unlocks the way forward. There is no going back, so be sure to find everything the maze has to offer before entering the next room!
Back room
The Trick Master waits here for all challengers. Speak to him to receive an item as your reward, then leave through the exit in the north wall.
Go east from the Trick House and pass beneath Cycling Road. Turn north and continue on until you meet May/Brendan again. It seems like ages since you last met, and your friend wants to see how far you have come as a Trainer.
After the battle, May/Brendan gives you an Itemfinder, a device that detects hidden items in the vicinity. When used, it emits a chime that draws the user's attention in the direction of the item.
Route 103 (East)
Despite Route 103 being first accessible from Oldale Town, a large inlet flowing through the area left the eastern side blocked off. Approaching from Route 110 allows you to battle several Trainers and collect a handful of items on this side of the water.
Trainers with a PokéNav by their names will be registered in the Trainer's Eyes or Match Call function after the first battle, and may have a rematch with the player with higher-level Pokémon.
