Xerneas (Japanese: ゼルネアス Xerneas) is a legendary Pokémon.

Most information regarding this Pokémon is unknown.

It—as well as Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, and Yveltal—was the first Generation VI Pokémon to be revealed to the public on January 8, 2013, as part of the Pokémon Direct broadcast.

Xerneas is the version mascot of Pokémon X.

• Xerneas and Yveltal are the only Pokémon to have their English names revealed before their Japanese names.

Xerneas is based on some kind of cervid. Its shape is based on the letter X.
