Xatu (Japanese: ネイティオ Natio) is a non-player character in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.

After defeating Zapdos at Mt. Thunder, Alakazam suggests that the player goes to speak to Xatu to see if he knows why the player became a Pokémon. After climbing up Great Canyon to Hill of the Ancients, the player and partner find Xatu there staring at the sun. After trying to get his attention, they decide to either attack Xatu or tickle Xatu, both of which end with Xatu revealing who he is. He knew that the player was a human and knew that the player becoming a human and the natural disasters were linked.

After the player and partner defeat Groudon, Xatu announces that a falling star is heading towards the planet. He, along with Alakazam, then make a Teleport Gem which teleports the player and his rescue team to Sky Tower so they can confront Rayquaza. Once they return, he celebrates the victory along with the other Pokémon who had gathered on Hill of the Ancients.

After meeting Spinda and receiving the Clear Wing, the player takes this to Xatu and asks about the Mirage Pokémon. Xatu, however, reveals that he knows little about it. He then grants access to Fiery Field.
