Major events

• Ash and his friends meet up with Sawyer again.
• Sawyer is revealed to have earned the Psychic Badge, Fairy Badge, and Iceberg Badge, thus allowing him to compete in the Kalos League.
• Ash has another battle against Sawyer.
• Sawyer's Honedge is revealed to have evolved into Doublade.
• Ash's Noivern is revealed to have learned Dragon Claw.
• Sawyer is revealed to have caught a Clawitzer.
• During the battle, Ash attempts to activate Greninja's Ash-Greninja form. However, it fails for the first time.
• Ash loses the battle, suffering his first defeat against Sawyer.
• Sawyer travels with Ash and his friends as they head towards Snowbelle City.

• After Sawyer writes in his notebook, Greninja is seen without its Battle Pulse Measure Device on its right wrist when it has its arms crossed.
