Wide Slash (Japanese: すいへいぎり Horizontal Cut) is a typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.

Effect

Wide Slash will attack foes on the three tiles diagonally to and in front of the player. It will miss against frozen opponents, and is affected by the Taunted status, and its power can be raised through Ginseng. It has a base 12% critical.

Trivia

  • It is one of the only two moves exclusive to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the other being Vacuum-Cut. However, this excludes Excavate and Vertical Cut, both of which were taken out of the game late in development, although their TMs can be obtained through cheating devices.
