A very appealing move, but after using this move, the user is more easily startled.

Water Spout (Japanese: しおふき Water Spout) is a damage-dealing Water-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Water Spout does damage proportionately based on the user's HP. This move's base power reduces as the user's HP reduces and is calculated by the formula:

File:Eruption Water Spout formula.png

Hence, at maximum power (100% HP), the move's base power would be 150.

In a battle with multiple opponents, Water Spout will target all adjacent opponents. Water Spout will also destroy stalagmites found in the background of battles.
