The water then swirls around from all sides, causing the water to explode.

  • If Secret Power is used on water in Generation IV, it will have the animation of Water Pulse.
  • Water Pulse, along with other moves with Pulse in their name (Dark Pulse, Dragon Pulse, Heal Pulse) and Aura Sphere are the only non-Flying-type moves that can hit a non-adjacent Pokémon. Also, their Japanese names (including Aura Sphere) contain はどう hadō (wave/pulse).
