Template:ElementalTypes The Water type is one of the basic elemental types that can be found in the games. Attacks that are of the Water-type use the Special Attack stat as attack for the purposes of damage calculations, and the Special Defense stat when calculating defense.

Water-type creatures are weak to Electric-type and Grass-type, but strong against Rock-type and Ground-type.

Some notable water Pokémon trainers include Misty of Cerulean City and Wallace and Ardan of Sootopolis.

Some of the better known examples of water Pokémon are Blastoise, Wailord, Poliwag, Psyduck, Gyarados, Mudkip, and Kyogre.

Some of the better known examples of water attacks are Surf, Hydro Pump, Water Gun, and Dive.
