Release information

This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. A promotional version of the Base Set 2 print with a gold foil "W" stamp was released as an insert with the March 2000 issue of Top Deck Magazine.

Origin

Withdraw and Bite are both moves in the Pokémon games that Wartortle can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded. The Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
