Walker (Japanese: ハヤテ Hayate), known as Wayne in the Chuang Yi version, is a one-time character in the Pokémon Adventures manga who appeared in VS. Skarmory during the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc. A skilled Trainer, he is a friend of Cianwood City's Gym Leader, Chuck. Considered a vagabond, he prefers traveling around instead of settling down in one place. He has a feather he holds in his mouth, like hard-boiled characters typically do with a strand of grain, and wears goggles. Chuck seems to have a very high opinion of him, even claiming him to be "strong enough to beat any Gym Leader around" and that he "could easily become a Gym Leader". Little else is known about him.

Walker's jacket features an emblem on its sleeves and back which resemble the Zephyr Badge, and has an actual Zephyr Badge on the necklace he wears. Specializing in Flying-type Pokémon, it is likely he has some connection to Falkner (whose Japanese and English name is similar to his own) or the Violet City Gym.

In his only appearance in the manga, Wayne is on his way to visit Chuck, when he is attacked by Suicune. The Aurora Pokémon, who has recently awoken, was on a quest to find itself a master, challenging various Gym Leaders. Chuck manages to rescue Walker, and the two friends then try to catch Suicune together. They fail, and Suicune leaves to challenge other Gym Leaders.

		Skarmory is Walker's only known Pokémon, as well as his main means of transportation. Walker rode it to visit Chuck in Cianwood City. Skarmory was also used to try and capture Suicune. Skarmory's only known move is Swift.
