WTPT - Pokémon Radio was a Pokémon-focused podcast hosted by long-time Pokémon fans from Brooklyn, New York, Joseph "Jowy" Romano and Keith C. "KC" Smith. It originally debuted on July 3, 2007 and it is available on iTunes, Zune, and other podcast directories. It was usually released once a week. 'W' is the first letter used in the call letters for United States radio stations east of the Mississippi River and "TPT" are the letters that stand for the website that hosts the podcast, The Pallet Tribune, which was originally called The Pokémon Times. The site features include news, fan art, blogs, and a chat room.
On their Halloween Special 2010 episode, the podcast announced that it was going to end by saying that the Halloween Special was the penultimate episode and that full details on why they're ending it will come in their final episode. This news came after KC announced that he was going to leave the show for job-related issues (which were further described in the Halloween Special) near the end of the podcast episode that focused on banned anime episodes, and after releasing a 4.0 version of their site back in August and having released only four episodes in the year 2010 prior to their blog entry about TPT 4.0. They have yet to release their official final episode as of November 1, 2011, at least one year since their last episode.
Recently however, a new "sister podcast" created by two of The Pallet Tribune's community members has taken WTPT's place on the website. KTPT - Pokémon Radio made its debut on October 18, 2011, with Jowy popping in at the beginning with an update on what had happened since WTPT's last episode.
Podcasts
Main podcast (WTPT)
WTPT - Pokémon Radio was the podcast of The Pallet Tribune website. It used to be updated approximately every two weeks. One of the reasons why it ended was that KC's employer, who found out about him being in WTPT, told him to stop participating in the podcast as it was considered a breach in his contract.[1] It was the most popular Pokémon podcast during its three-year run, having taken the top Pokémon podcast spot from Bulbagarden's own Bulbacast, which stopped producing new episodes the same year that WTPT debuted and later made a failed revival attempt in 2009. (Bulbacast resumed weekly episode production again in 2011.) After WTPT ended in 2010, another podcast that debuted the same year, PKMNcast.com's It's Super Effective, has since taken the top Pokémon podcast spot on both iTunes and Zune.
Hosts
KC and Jowy have appeared on other video game podcasts including MyGamer.com's Radcast Audio Blast and Gamestation Radio. Both hosts have journalism backgrounds: KC has a degree in journalism and Jowy was the executive editor of his college newspaper.

Second podcast (KTPT)
KTPT - Pokémon Radio is the new podcast of The Pallet Tribune, hosted by two of the website's community members, known as "Ducky-von-Karma" and "Bubman". The new podcast, a sister podcast to WTPT, debuted on October 18, 2011. Similiar to WTPT's name, 'K' is the first letter for American radio stations west of the Mississippi River. The new podcast initially used WTPT's podcast feed, but it separated into its own feed by the third episode.
Website
The Pallet Tribune is the homepage of WTPT and KTPT. On the right there is a navigation menu that leads to the site's forums, oekaki, chat rooms, competitions, store, donation button, Twitter feed, and an RSS feed of the latest videos. At the top are links to the site's login and about pages, the Pallet Tribune's Twitter account, and the site's RSS news feed, as well as a search bar to search within the website.
Current content and features
Chatting
On "TPT", there are three forms of chatting. The first one is called "Chat Rooms", running on the Ajax Open Source Web Chat. Here fans can type to other people live and send them messages, smilies (themed as different Pokémon), and surprises. Here is where many people make new friends to talk to, battle, and become friends with. The second form of chatting is the "WTPT Live", where fans can talk to people live using microphones and cameras. Through this, they can actually see and hear who they are talking to. The third and final form of chatting is the TPT forums.
Forums
The Pallet Tribune added a vBulletin forums system when the site was upgraded to TPT 2.0. Here, members can make an post on threads about various topics about things relating to the forums, Pokémon, and pretty much anything else.
