WTPT - Pokémon Radio is a Pokémon-focused podcast hosted by long-time Pokémon fans Keith "KC" Smith and Joseph "Jowy" Romano, both from Brooklyn, New York. The most popular Pokémon podcast as of 2009, it is available on iTunes, Zune, and other podcast directories and was usually released once a week.

'W' is the first letter used in the call letters for United States radio stations east of the Mississippi River and "TPT" stands for "The Pallet Tribune" (originally called "The Pokémon Times"), which is also the name of the website that hosts the podcast. The site's features include news, fan art, blogs, and a chat room.

On their Halloween Special 2010 episode, the podcast announced that it was going to end by saying that the Halloween Special was the penultimate episode and that more details on why they're ending it will come in their final episode. This news came after releasing a 4.0 version of their site back in August and having released only four episodes in the year 2010 prior to their blog entry about TPT 4.0. They have yet to release their final episode as of January 23, 2011.

The Pallet Tribune is the homepage of WTPT. On the right there is a navigation menu that leads to the TPT forums, Oekaki, Chat Rooms, Competitions, store, donation button, Twitter feed, and an RSS feed of the Latest Videos. At the top are links to the site's login and about pages, the Pallet Tribune's Twitter account, and the site's RSS news feed, as well as a search bar to search within the Pallet Tribune's site.

News

The news is updated periodically and keeps listeners updated in the world of Pokémon. They can deal with any topic relating to Pokémon, including contest results, special events, and inside info.

Feature Articles

The News section of WTPT includes some user and staff-made recurring articles.

Livre do Mestre

Livre do Mestre was Jowy's personal Pokémon-related blog.

KC's Log

Much like Livre do Mestre, KC's Log was KC's personal Pokémon-related blog.

The Tall Grass

Run by moderator BigRedLax, this weekly-updated webcomic features Pokémon humor. The name derives from KC's closing catchphrase at the end of every podcast: "Stay out of the Tall Grass!"

Ask Annie

Ask Annie was a question-based feature article run by Annie. Users would send usually non-serious questions to her, and she picked her favorites and answered them.

TCG Top Ten

This is a recurring article made by WaterRangerLara about the Pokémon TCG. It goes into depth about the top ten cards from certain sets, such as Base Set, Fossil, or the "Neo" sets.

Countdown to Platinum

Countdown to Platinum was a set of three articles made by Ducky-von-Karma in the weeks before Pokémon Platinum came out, detailing known information in a humorous way.

  • Article One, WiFi, detailed new features of online play.
  • Article Two, WiFi Plaza, overviewed the Wifi Plaza and its features.
  • Article Three, Characters and Setting, discussed the changes ion character design ond changes within Sinnoh from DP to Platinum.

Chatting

On "TPT", there are three forms of chatting. The first one is called "Chat Rooms", running on the Ajax Open Source Web Chat. Here fans can type to other people live and send them messages, smilies (themed as different Pokémon), and surprises. Here is where many people make new friends to talk to, battle, and become friends with. The second form of chatting is the "WTPT Live", where fans can talk to people live using microphones and cameras. Through this, they can actually see and hear who they are talking to. WTPT Live is currently being reworked. The third and final form of chatting is the TPT forums.

Forums

With the upgrade to TPT 2.0, The Pallet Tribune added a vBulliten forums system. Here, members can make an post on threads about various topics about things relating to the forums, Pokémon, and pretty much anything else.

Competitions

WTPT has a variety of competitions. Its most major one, called the WTPTC, is usually held quarterly. Occasionally, additional tournaments are also hosted, such as one on TPT Day, the anniversary of WTPT's creation. Another form of competitions on TPT is ladders. In these ladders members can battle one another to get points, and everyone is ranked against each other by points, the top person receiving a digital medal. There are currently five ladders on TPT:

The Ally Cup
This is a ladder for 4 vs. 4 double battles in DPPt. It is currently in its first season, or reset in member points for the specific ladder.
The Brawl Cup
This is a ladder for fights in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is in its first season.
The Sippy Cup
