VIZ Media, LLC is an anime and manga company founded in 1986. It is headquartered in San Fransisco, CA and is owned by Shōgakukan and Shueisha. VIZ Media publishes Pokémon manga, anime, and other media in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, and South Africa.
VIZ's older Pokémon manga titles (The Electric Tale of Pikachu, Magical Pokémon Journey, and the first printing of Pokémon Adventures) were printed left-to-right with reversed artwork, as this was the way manga was typically localized at the time. However, starting from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team, all of VIZ's Pokémon titles have been published right-to-left, retaining the original Japanese format.
