Just thought I'd put a bit of a bug in your ear, once you're all done with the Conquestmove template, you could make good use of CSP on pages like Dragnor (and probably others you can think of better than I can =P ). :Good thought! I'm going through the moves quite slowly and there are others helping, but I'll keep this in mind (and for those who are also reading this can feel free to help too :]). ==New Korean event==
A Shiny Xerneas event has been announced, however I haven't added it since I am not sure how the serial code is going to be given away. Could you translate that information and any other important information about the event (I can add it to the page if you would like)? <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 23:06, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
::It will be given out to commemorate the first airing of the new Pokémon XY&Z season on Tooniverse. The first episode will air on 22/3/2016  5 pm, and during the airing the serial code will be revealed on Tooniverse. The Xerneas is Lv. 100, knows Geomancy, Moonblast, Aromatherapy and Focus Blast. It can only be obtained on ORAS.--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 23:16, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
:::Okay thanks for that information. So will the code be revealed on Tooniverse's website or will it be revealed in the episode? If it is during the episode, is there anything special that has to be done to get the serial code (like the Japanese event) or will it just show up on screen at some point? <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 23:23, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
::::Doesn't say exactly how the code is going to revealed. All it emphasises is that the serial code will be revealed during the first airing of XY&Z on Tooniverse--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 23:29, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
:::::I looked at the Tooniverse Kakao Story page and it says that you have to "remember the Pokémon password that will be revealed during the episode" and to "reply" (not sure where) to get the present. "More details to come on 22/3 5 pm" --<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 23:33, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
::::::So it seems that it won't even be the code for the event that is revealed during the episode, but a password which has to be sent somewhere to get the code. Unless they meant to say that the serial code will be revealed during the episode, and that then you have to enter the code into your game to get the event. Is this the post you were referring to from their Kakao Story page? <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 23:44, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
::::::: Yes that's the post. Sorry I jumped to the assumption that the "code" referred to in the official page was the serial code, but in hindsight, it probably refers to a passcode. So it looks like they will reveal a password during the airing, which you then have to post (probably on the Tooniverse kakao story page) --<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 23:54, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
::::::::Okay that makes sense. I am almost wondering if this won't be similar to how the common serial code for the Giratina event was revealed (which you had to enter the Korean name for Giratina into the Korean movie site to get the common serial code). ==Korean manga==
I know that you have added some Korean manga information, but I am noticing a few discrepancies in the release dates that you added and the ones from Daewon C.I.'s Facebook and blog pages. For example on Pokémon Adventures volume 51 you put August 31, 2015 as the release date, but a post on their Facebook page seems to suggest it should be August 25, 2015. Pokémon Adventures volume 50 also has a similar issue, but there is probably more (just search for 포켓몬스터 on their Facebook page to get a list of posts). Also the Hoopa and the Clash of Ages manga was also released (and I think there is a few more too). <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 00:39, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
:Thanks a lot for finding these dates! I did have a look at their blog and facebook a while ago but I only saw their lists which they put out at the start of the month with only the expected date ranges for release. I overlooked the blog/facebook because I realised it only went as far back as 2013 (volume 41) and so the source I used was the major book retailer store's site (kyobo) which had all the volumes. I was able to verify some of the early volume release dates with scans from the internet but I did get worried from volume 41 (coincidental or not) because from that volume onwards kyobo listed the release dates as always being the 30/31st of the month which made me think something wasn't right (but I didn't look into it further). I'll fix up the dates for 41-51 with the official site. There doesn't seem to be any official sources for the other volumes but I did try double checking them with other places and sometimes wrote 'unknown' if things didn't add up.
:For the other Korean manga stuff, feel free to add them yourself if you have the time! --<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 01:54, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
::Not sure when I will get time to add those movie manga adaptations (I might have some time later in the week, but it probably will be a bit before I can upload any of the pictures). However I located the information that is missing for the Magical Pokémon Journey, however I am having some trouble figuring what it says exactly. This has the information about volume 9, but I can't figure out if it says a specific day or not. And this is another volume, but I am not sure which one or if it even has a release date anywhere (if it helps it is linked from the main page). And I am pretty sure that this is for volume 10 (since that is the last volume), but again not sure if it says anything specific about a release date or anything. And I will also add these links, since I am not sure what volume they are (by process of elimination I think they might be volumes 6 and 7). <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 21:01, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
:::Hmm.. I had a quick look at the links but I think only the first link has a direct date, with volume 9 being released on the 4th week of October, 2002. The other links sometimes mention when the post was made, but I can't be sure if they mean the volume was/is/will be released.
:::Just a question, are you using the wayback machine because it allows you to use sites which had the information at the time of release? If not, you can search using a major book store site which was the one I was using. You might have to try searching both 포켓몬스터 PiPiPi 어드벤처 and 포켓몬스터 피피피 어드벤처, but I think it doesn't have all 10 volumes. It says that volume 9 was released on the 25th of October which correlates with your link, but it might not be 100% accurate because it would have gotten the information retrospectively (but I don't think we can get any more accurate than that).--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 06:37, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
::::I noticed the website you were using was by Daewon Media, though I think you'll have to use archived pages to look for any info! Feel free to add any info on Korean manga, and I can check them afterwards if you want :)--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 06:42, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
:::::Yes I am using the Wayback Machine since it allows me to use the sites which had the information at the time (which is also probably a lot more accurate). And I noticed them first on the book store site you linked, but they only had a few listed so I was trying to see if I could find the missing ones. I am not sure if it helps any, but this is where the last two links I listed above came from (for the volumes I think are 6 and 7). And this is where the link for what I think is volume 10 came from. The links for all of these were found at the bottom of the page. If nothing else, I am thinking that those without a direct date are at the very least the month and year the volume was released.
:::::Also I am guessing this Haksan Publishing (not sure if they are called something else or not) is the publisher of these and not Daewon C.I.? Also I have tried various searches on archived versions of Daewon's websites, but I haven't really had much luck finding anything yet. <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 19:54, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
::::::I think we can assume the month, year for those without direct dates. And yes, Haksan Culture Company seem to have published these, though they have the same parent company, Daewon Media.
::::::And I've noticed you've changed the dates for some of the Pokémon Adventures. They're probably more accurate, but do you think it will be possible to find an archived page which was posted at or after the date the volumes were released? Just because the links are for the release schedule (and I've noticed from Daewon's blog site that they don't always get released on the scheduled day). If not, I think it's perfectly fine to use the scheduled dates.--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 23:04, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
:::::::I am pretty sure it would be possible to find an archived page from the time that displays their release date. I have found numerous pages listing books published with exact release dates and prices, but I so far haven't had any luck finding a page that has the Pokémon Adventures publications. However, you might have slightly better luck than I would trying to navigate around the site since I am simply relying on Google Translate and names in the URL to give me an idea of what the links are for. Their main page at the time has a long list of links at the bottom of the page where they are probably located. Also this site might have the information for ones released in 2005 (and maybe late 2004), but again I haven't had any luck finding anything yet.
:::::::On a side note, I don't think volume 24 was released on June 15, 2007 when it didn't have a scheduled release until August 17, 2007. <span style="color:magenta">Lady</span> <span style="color:orange">Ariel</span> 23:51, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Veilstone Game Corner
I recently found out that apparently Korean versions Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum apparently all lack the Game Corner slot machines, not just the European versions of Platinum. If you're willing, could you add any additional relevant information to Veilstone Game Corner and to Pokémon controversy? --Abcboy (talk) 02:09, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
:Ok, I'll add more info if I come across it, but what you've already added to Veilstone Game Corner seems sufficient. Feel free to add the info to Pokémon controversy. Just out of interest, how did you find out about it?--<span style="color:green">Wowy</span>(토크) 07:53, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
::Sorry for the delay, but I noticed it when I was comparing the text dumps for Diamond/Pearl and noticed that there were extra lines in the Korean dialogue compared to the other languages. I know most people (myself included) put the blame on PEGI for causing the change in the European copies of Platinum, since I imagine that's when English-speaking gamers found out about it first. I've also been wondering whether the Korean Gold/Silver releases included the Game Corner as well, which would put the beginning of the removal of gambling even farther back, though I haven't found anything to suggest that yet. --Abcboy (talk) 04:16, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

Revision as of 04:16, 23 June 2016

Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Wowy!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
  • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
  • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
  • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Wowy/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
  • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! --MoldyOrange 01:41, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Gym Leaders' Pokémon

Please, we only need one Pokémon from a leader (excluding Brock and Misty). Most of these Pokémon are not notable for an article and they wouldn't have substantial informtion to be a good one. Roark, for example, already has a page for his Rampardos. Please refrain from creating any more. MoldyOrange 01:50, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Okay, look at a page like Fiore. Notice how at the bottom there's categories, right? You put them in by putting at the bottom. Look what I did to the page you just made, and just make sure to do that so others don't have to. No page BUT the Main Page should be uncategorized. TTEchidna 06:41, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

But 의 romanized as "e" is not a part of any conventional Romanization schemes (we use only conventional ones, no custom schemes, same with Japanese [we use Hepburn] and Chinese [we use PinYin]) and "e" also creates ambiguities. --Maxim 14:55, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Korean translation, por favor

Hi, you were listed in the category for people who speak Korean so I'm assuming you do lol. I would like to ask if 즐거워 means "glad" or "rejoice". Because well, google translate is not exactly trustworthy when it comes to these things. That word is allegedly the password for Bianca's pokedex skin on listed on this page. But I don't know any Korean so I can't really know for sure. Also, 이 사용하는 도감스킨을 에 translates to "illustrated book skin". Is that correct? And which part of that is Korean for Pokedex? Thanks a bunch. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:31, 27 April 2013 (UTC)

  • I would say 즐거워 means "glad" when by itself. Also, 이 사용하는 도감스킨을 에 makes no sense to me. 이 means "this", 사용하는 means "using", 도감스킨 means "Pokédex skin" (in Pokemon terms anyway). But the thing as a whole doesn't seem to make any sense.--Wowy (talk) 07:51, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
    • Oh ok, thanks. 「벨」이 사용하는 도감스킨을 에 is the phrase on the korean global link site here [1]. 「벨」translates to "Bel", so I assumed that it doesn't matter lol. What is the exact Hangul for pokedex then? Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 07:57, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
      • 「벨」 이 사용하는 도감스킨을 포켓몬 글로벌 링크에 「포켓몬스터 블랙 2・화이트 2」를 등록한 플레이어에게 선물!! means "For players who registered on Pokemon Global Link "Pokemon Black 2 and White 2" we give the Pokedex skin that Bianca uses!" Translation is rough, but you get the gist. 「벨」 is Bianca and Pokedex is 도감 - unsigned comment from Wowy (talkcontribs)
        • So "Pokedex skin that Bianca uses" is 「벨」이 사용하는 도감스킨을 에 in hangul exactly? Also 도감 is "dogam", correct? What does that mean literally? Like how ポケモン図鑑 Pokémon Zukan means "illustrated Pokémon encyclopedia"? Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 09:42, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
          • 「벨」이 사용하는 도감스킨 means the "Pokedex skin that Bianca uses", 을 and 에 are just particles like conjunctions and so don't make sense at the end of the sentence. And yes 도감 is "dogam" and I would say it has the exact same meaning as the japanese Zukan (except maybe it doesn't have to be an encyclopedia necessarily, but just any informative book. I guess that's what an encyclopedia is anyway). I've had a look and it seems they call the Pokedex "포켓몬 도감".--Wowy (talk) 06:58, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Conquest Wild Pokémon locations

I noticed you adding your research to the Conquest locations and I thought those tables could be better. So I made another Conquest thing. I just think the way the Pokemon are split "Level 1-3", "Level 2-3", and all that is a bit confusing, and I also think the notes you've added should preferably be readable without having to hovering over the asterisk.

As I've probably said before, I've never actually played Conquest myself, so it'd be great to hear any thoughts you have. =) Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:50, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

It's definitely looks neater. But I would rather have them listed in the order of Levels 1, 2 and 3, rather than by Pokedex order. I'm not sure, but maybe you were confused by Dragnor. I only realised the mistake on the page from looking at your tables, as it should say "Levels 1-3" not just "Level 1" (as all Pokémon available in Level 1 are available in Level 2 and 3 in every case). This might make the ticks somewhat redundant. Maybe it would be better if we just added an "Availability" column the existing tables. --Wowy(Talk) 01:04, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
I suppose that typo on Dragnor was a good part of my reason. If I had realized it wasn't actually that variable, I may indeed have just added a new Availability column.
I've gone ahead and tried something like that on Dragnor (while also cleaning up the table code otherwise). I'm not gonna claim it's perfect, but...maybe that's alright, you think? The first thing I think of is maybe it could be a little wider still.
(I'll let the template I made simmer a bit, and then figure if I'll delete it later (probably I will).) Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:35, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
I've widened the tables for Dragnor which I think looks better. I will leave the rest for now in case you prefer not to change them.--Wowy(Talk) 01:58, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
Oh, I'm not actually that invested in my template it turns out (except a part of me that can't stand to delete something I just made right away =P ). No, Dragnor's fine by me right now. If anything, I suppose by letting it hang around someone else may be able to comment on it if they have an opinion. But don't feel like you have to wait on my account. =P Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:16, 17 December 2015 (UTC)

Mr. Stone's Korean name

Here are two quotes from Korean ORAS:

나발명무궁화사장 (52세)에 의하면 “이 머신을 사용하면 지저 깊숙이 잠들어 있는 마그마 등을 원료로 우리 생활을 지탱해 주는 다양한 에너지를 만들어낼 수 있게 됩니다! 음하하하!”
응? 해양관장은 나다만...? 오오! 그것은 데봉의 나발명사장에게 부탁해둔 파츠구나! 이야- 정말 수고했다! 덕분에 출발할 수 있을 것 같군...

Steven's name is 나성호, so Mr. Stone's family name would logically also be 나, making his given name the lengthy 발명무궁화. However, the second quote refers to him as 나발명, leaving out 무궁화. Could you clarify as to how his name is intended to be divided? --Abcboy (talk) 05:07, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Not entirely sure actually. :S In my opinion, it would make most sense if his name was just 나발명 (such a long name is very uncommon). The synopsis for AG017 on the official website calls him simply as 나발명. If we consider his full name as 나발명무궁화 and his family name as 나, calling him as just 나발명 doesn't make sense, so 나발명무궁화 can't be his real name. I feel the "무궁화" was awkwardly brought over from the Japanese, but I'm not sure whether this was intentional or accidental.--Wowy(Talk) 06:28, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
In Japanese, he wasn't given a given name until ORAS, so I'm not surprised that they had to add it in so weirdly in ORAS, as the Korean translators had already given him a given name prior to its release. ツワブキ・ムクゲ is his full Japanese name, with ムクゲ derived from St Joseph's rod as per the article. --Abcboy (talk) 07:04, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
Well, I guess since his name was given as 나발명무궁화 in the games, then I guess that is the name we should put down (even though I think it was a mistake by the translators). To answer your original question ("could you clarify as to how his name is intended to be divided?"), I don't think you can divide the name logically since they've essentially added a third name in ORAS. I'm fine with whatever you think is right. --Wowy(Talk) 07:47, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Disney Adventures

I had actually looked online for people who had that particular issue. Did you find a scan, or do you have it yourself? Could you upload an image of the relevant page? --SnorlaxMonster 14:39, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Here is a scan of the relevant pages. It's actually from the October edition of DA, not the August edition which is what I wrote on the edit summary (I had it mixed up with the August edition which is the one which first mentioned Pokémon Crystal and the Pokémon Tour). --Wowy(Talk) 10:47, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Also note the error for QLD tour dates. It states the event goes from Oct 2 to Sept 6, but I'm guessing it should say Oct 6 since everywhere else the event goes for about a week.--Wowy(Talk) 10:49, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

Korean events

Okay first I would like to thank for you all the help with those Korean event pages. However, I would like to bring a few things to your attention with those pages. First of all if the event was distributed at a specific event (such as the Character Fair Pokémon), we like to use the translated name and then put the original name in Korean characters in parenthesis (like how the Generation VI events are handled). Also I have noticed there is a bit of information that is still missing from what you have added (and I am not sure where this information is coming from, but over the past few years or researching events I have stumbled upon a ton of Korean links that will probably be of some use). Okay first the Character Fair Pokémon are missing the original Korean name of the event and the location of the event (which appears to be listed here). Also this blog has a lot of Korean event brochures that may or may not be any additional help. In addition this appears to do with the Tangrowth event (the dates match).

Also we are missing a lot of information for the List of other event distributions in Generation IV page. So here is a list (again all Korean events): Winner's Path, Yellow Forest, first and second Enigma Stone, Member Card, and Secret Key. Lady Ariel 01:14, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice. When you say that there is still some information missing, do you mainly mean locations where the events were held? I will try to go through them all again and get more information and their Korean names. I will be getting busier though so I'll probably go through them slowly. --Wowy(Talk) 03:05, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
Yeah mostly where the events were held is what I mean (along with the original Korean name). Why did you remove the part in the incomplete template about missing distribution information (when the Times Square Shaymin and all the Pikachu Cafe events are missing information)? Also I would like to point out there is a couple of events on the List of local Korean event Pokémon distributions in Generation V page that are missing descriptions too. Lady Ariel 16:13, 6 February 2016 (UTC)
I removed the part about missing information after finishing Pokemon Lover Manaphy, having forgotten there were some missing below. But I'll get to them all eventually so no need to worry :) Wowy(Talk) 03:27, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the additional information, but it appears we are still missing the location where the Division A and B Battle Series 2009 Tournament was held (which is where the Battle Series 2009 Arcanine was distributed). Also I was wondering something, for the events that have the OT 영화관 we call them "Cinema <Pokémon>" in Generation IV, but in all other Generations we call them "Movie <Pokémon>". Is either Cinema or Movie a more accurate translation of the OT, or is there a better translation (just for reference the titles of stand alone events use the OT as the section header, so they should all have the same header format for the same OT)? Lady Ariel 19:05, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
For me personally, the word 영화관 should translate to Cinema or Movie Theater, since it refers to a place. The word, "Movie", to me, refers to the actual film (i.e. 영화 in Korean). But I had a quick search about the difference between cinema and movie and it looks like how the words are used differ according to where you live. What are your thoughts? Wowy(토크) 22:11, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
I think the titles were changed to "<Movie Pokémon>", since that is what the similar Japanese events use (not sure if the translation of えいがかん is even correct or not). Which means if a translation of just Movie could be accurate, would probably be the better option in this case (unless of course the translation of the Japanese OT isn't correct which means then we probably should rethink the naming for them). Lady Ariel 23:19, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
I don't know much Japanese myself so maybe ask someone who's better at Japanese?--Wowy(토크) 06:52, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
SnorlaxMonster should be able to help out here (and he is very familiar with events). Lady Ariel 17:06, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Korean Episode Titles

Hi there, I was wondering where you're getting your Korean anime episode titles from. I've noticed that some of the titles you added (I've only looked at a few so far) have different punctuation marks than the ones included in the titles on the official Korean Pokémon website. I do believe that the titles on the official website are the official/correct ones, unless you have some other sort of official source? --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:29, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

I know what you mean. But the punctuation in the official website doesn't appear to be correct most of the time. There was also one instance where the title was completely wrong. What I usually do is watch the intro online that someone has uploaded (I found someone's blog with the episodes). Also, when translating the title, I sometimes add a dash (-). This is because the title has two parts (like a title and subtitle) which won't make sense if I translate it in one sentence.

Oh, and sorry for adding the titles without checking there was already one there--Wowy(Talk) 05:36, 6 February 2016 (UTC)

Seafloor Cavern/trapped

Can you specify which room you can get trapped in? I'm not sure how that could happen. (Though I haven't looked entirely as hard as I might, yet.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:53, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

I have no idea. I just edited the previous post to make it sound nicer. I wasn't 100% sure of its notability but it sounded unique enough. I don't have access to check it myself either. --Wowy(토크) 06:12, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh, I viewed both changes together and completely forgot about it. =P I guess I'll just look a bit harder then. Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:16, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

Sorry to bug you

I checked out that link you sent me, and looks like they have pretty much every volume for Korean Pokémon Adventures. Great! I can definitely use this to add all the missing ISBNs and cover artworks and stuff. The only question I had for you (since you understand Korean...) is, when I searched up volume 1, they had it (link) but the release date listed is for 2011. i know this isn't the original release since Adventures has been ongoing in South Korea since the 90s, but basically I wanted to know, do you know if it's just a reprint or if it's like a second edition or what? i did notice the cover artwork is the same. thank you so much!!! :) --ZestyCactus 07:13, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

The link I gave you doesn't actually specify if it is a second edition or not. However, the front cover is slightly different, such as the colour of the font for the author, as well as the lack of background in screenshot in the link. So I'm not really sure if it's a second edition or not. Sorry!
For the dates, maybe try this website. It has a very well organised section. I've checked that the original release dates from this website correlate with other websites, but I also inevitably came across other websites (such as this one) which have different dates, although they are usually within the same month. Though, I don't trust the second website because it has the Pokémon Adventures 2 as being released before Pokémon Adventures 1.
Also, I bumped into this which has scans of some of the inside pages, which is interesting (it's the version with the black font for the author and with the background), but not very useful.
On another note, Korea also released the Electric Tales of Pikachu (포켓몬스터 전격피카츄). It can be found in the kyobo website (but with no pics). Sorry to dump all this info on you. If you need any help, or don't get round to do it, I'll be happy to help, but I probably won't be able to make big edits over the next few months. :) --Wowy(토크) 09:09, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Squishy

Has the new Korean ending theme revealed the name of Korean name of Squishy? If so, can you add it to the page? --Abcboy (talk) 17:53, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

Conquest Pokemon sprites

Just thought I'd put a bit of a bug in your ear, once you're all done with the Conquestmove template, you could make good use of CSP on pages like Dragnor (and probably others you can think of better than I can =P ). Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:24, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

Good thought! I'm going through the moves quite slowly and there are others helping, but I'll keep this in mind (and for those who are also reading this can feel free to help too :]). And thanks for getting the category page up and running quickly! --Wowy(토크) 02:05, 15 March 2016 (UTC)

New Korean event

A Shiny Xerneas event has been announced, however I haven't added it since I am not sure how the serial code is going to be given away. Could you translate that information and any other important information about the event (I can add it to the page if you would like)? Lady Ariel 23:06, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

It will be given out to commemorate the first airing of the new Pokémon XY&Z season on Tooniverse. The first episode will air on 22/3/2016 5 pm, and during the airing the serial code will be revealed on Tooniverse. The Xerneas is Lv. 100, knows Geomancy, Moonblast, Aromatherapy and Focus Blast. It can only be obtained on ORAS.--Wowy(토크) 23:16, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Okay thanks for that information. So will the code be revealed on Tooniverse's website or will it be revealed in the episode? If it is during the episode, is there anything special that has to be done to get the serial code (like the Japanese event) or will it just show up on screen at some point? Lady Ariel 23:23, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Doesn't say exactly how the code is going to revealed. All it emphasises is that the serial code will be revealed during the first airing of XY&Z on Tooniverse--Wowy(토크) 23:29, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
I looked at the Tooniverse Kakao Story page and it says that you have to "remember the Pokémon password that will be revealed during the episode" and to "reply" (not sure where) to get the present. "More details to come on 22/3 5 pm" --Wowy(토크) 23:33, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
So it seems that it won't even be the code for the event that is revealed during the episode, but a password which has to be sent somewhere to get the code. Unless they meant to say that the serial code will be revealed during the episode, and that then you have to enter the code into your game to get the event. Is this the post you were referring to from their Kakao Story page? Lady Ariel 23:44, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes that's the post. Sorry I jumped to the assumption that the "code" referred to in the official page was the serial code, but in hindsight, it probably refers to a passcode. So it looks like they will reveal a password during the airing, which you then have to post (probably on the Tooniverse kakao story page) --Wowy(토크) 23:54, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Okay that makes sense. I am almost wondering if this won't be similar to how the common serial code for the Giratina event was revealed (which you had to enter the Korean name for Giratina into the Korean movie site to get the common serial code). Lady Ariel 00:01, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Anime titles

Can you confirm or deny:

  • whether Ash, Bonnie, and Celosia narrate this preview?
  • XY093: Z탄생! 칼로스에 숨어 있는 것!!
  • XY094: 열혈 도치보구! 말랑이를 지켜라!!
  • XY095: 메가다부니 VS 기가기가나옹!!

--Abcboy (talk) 01:40, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

1) Yes
2) Yes, according to the official website, and also what Ash says in the preview. But I have no way of confirming it myself.
3) 열혈 도치보구! 말랑이를 지켜라! (with one less !) according to the official website
4) The official website has no name for it yet

--Wowy(토크) 02:44, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Thanks! If you get a chance, the articles on the Korean XY&Z opening and ending still haven't been created yet. --Abcboy (talk) 03:13, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes! It's always at the back of my mind. I'll do them when I get the chance :) --Wowy(토크) 03:17, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
Is this video the same as the official broadcast? --Abcboy (talk) 00:53, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
How did you find?!? I looked ages for a video of the actual footage but couldn't find any. And yes, it looks legit. Were you able to find any for the ending theme?
Also you can move the userpage for Remember times. But I'm not sure if it should it be Remember times or Remember Times. The name on the credits is Remember times. --Wowy(토크) 03:55, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
I searched for videos uploaded in the past week with the keywords "Remember times". I was unable to find the ending theme, though. I have moved "Remember times" to the mainspace. --Abcboy (talk) 04:32, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Korean TCG name

This picture shows the Korean name of the 2-Player Starter Set, however I can't figure out which Korean characters are used. Could you add it to the other languages section on the 2-Player Starter Set page (and format it like the Blackout page)? Lady Ariel 00:59, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Done! --Wowy(토크) 01:06, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Korean manga

Lady Ariel 00:39, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks a lot for finding these dates!
For the other Korean manga stuff, feel free to add them yourself if you have the time! --Wowy(토크) 01:54, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Not sure when I will get time to add those movie manga adaptations (I might have some time later in the week, but it probably will be a bit before I can upload any of the pictures). Lady Ariel 21:01, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Hmm.. I had a quick look at the links but I think only the first link has a direct date, with volume 9 being released on the 4th week of October, 2002. The other links sometimes mention when the post was made, but I can't be sure if they mean the volume was/is/will be released.
Just a question, are you using the wayback machine because it allows you to use sites which had the information at the time of release? If not, you can search using a major book store site [2] which was the one I was using. You might have to try searching both 포켓몬스터 PiPiPi 어드벤처 and 포켓몬스터 피피피 어드벤처, but I think it doesn't have all 10 volumes. It says that volume 9 was released on the 25th of October which correlates with your link, but it might not be 100% accurate because it would have gotten the information retrospectively (but I don't think we can get any more accurate than that).--Wowy(토크) 06:37, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
I noticed the website you were using was by Daewon Media, though I think you'll have to use archived pages to look for any info! Feel free to add any info on Korean manga, and I can check them afterwards if you want :)--Wowy(토크) 06:42, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Yes I am using the Wayback Machine since it allows me to use the sites which had the information at the time (which is also probably a lot more accurate).
Also I am guessing this Haksan Publishing (not sure if they are called something else or not) is the publisher of these and not Daewon C.I.? Also I have tried various searches on archived versions of Daewon's websites, but I haven't really had much luck finding anything yet. Lady Ariel 19:54, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
I think we can assume the month, year for those without direct dates. And yes, Haksan Culture Company seem to have published these, though they have the same parent company, Daewon Media.
And I've noticed you've changed the dates for some of the Pokémon Adventures. They're probably more accurate, but do you think it will be possible to find an archived page which was posted at or after the date the volumes were released? Just because the links are for the release schedule (and I've noticed from Daewon's blog site that they don't always get released on the scheduled day). If not, I think it's perfectly fine to use the scheduled dates.--Wowy(토크) 23:04, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
I am pretty sure it would be possible to find an archived page from the time that displays their release date.
On a side note, I don't think volume 24 was released on June 15, 2007 when it didn't have a scheduled release until August 17, 2007. Lady Ariel 23:51, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Sure I'll try and give it a go when time permits--Wowy(토크) 00:54, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Ok, I'll add more info if I come across it, but what you've already added to Veilstone Game Corner seems sufficient. Feel free to add the info to Pokémon controversy. Just out of interest, how did you find out about it?--Wowy(토크) 07:53, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, but I noticed it when I was comparing the text dumps for Diamond/Pearl and noticed that there were extra lines in the Korean dialogue compared to the other languages.
