By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 12:32, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Can I reply here, or is there a proper reply system? Anyway, I'll remember that in the future, I wasn't trying to spam, just recording the fights as I found them (I did use preview so that each fight was only one edit, but in the future I can probably do a whole floor at once since it looks like no one else is doing them at the moment) Vlad.frostbringer (talk) 13:14, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes, please do reply here. We also recommend using colons (:) to indent your comments. I reccommend instead adding them to the Black Tower page in the correct section. Also, have you tried the challenge more than once for these recordings? I believe these are somewhat randomly generated. I'll try to help as much as I can. -- Abcboy (talk) 21:37, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
First time in the tower, and yeah I get the feeling there is a random aspect to the floor layout and trainers, but I figured I'd get them recorded at least. Then later I, or someone, can rearrange the info in a more accurate way. Vlad.frostbringer (talk) 23:51, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
After going through it three times in a row, I really do feel it is randomly generated, or at least randomly picked from a pool. --Abcboy (talk) 00:16, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
After a reread, I found this. "The trainers in each area have a randomly selected team of two Pokémon from a personalized pool of about nine Pokémon." Perhaps a save and soft-reset in the tower would allow us to check their entire pool? --Abcboy (talk) 00:21, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
Well then I just added another useless set of info. Oh well, at least it'll be data we can use for the entire pool. Good thing we are organizing this, I didn't even know the Black Tower page existed (and I looked) until I started editing the Black City page Vlad.frostbringer (talk) 01:16, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I know there are several sites out there with information; unfortunately, we'd have to ask for permission first and it may be incorrect. I would create a chart in the userspace for this, unfortunately, I believe you can't edit it yet. --Abcboy (talk) 01:23, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I can't :) Any idea how many contributions I need to make for that to happen, or is it something the mods approve over time? Vlad.frostbringer (talk) 01:43, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
It's an automatic secret. :) A long time ago, no one contributed to the encyclopedia because they were playing games, writing fanfiction, and solving riddles instead of contributing. So the admins locked the userspace. And now we have the magical thing of the userspace policy. I believe you can edit the User talk: namespace though, so I'll see what I can do in mine. --Abcboy (talk) 01:50, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
