The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 07:47, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for reminding me. However, sometimes I need to copy different information from different pages or texts, which I must do multiple edits.

Why don't you just use tabs? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 08:22, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Please use the preview button when editing, that way you can see the page as if you have saved it without actually submitting, and so you will be able to edit great amounts of data in one sit. Masatoshitalk 15:55, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi, whereas I appreciate it a lot that you're editing articles that are in great need, I must ask you again to use the preview button to avoid clogging the RC up, it's right next to the Save page button. Masatoshitalk 14:45, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for reminding me again. I'm trying to limit my edits to as few as possible. The Preview Page button really helped me a lot, and I have always used it. But I'm sorry that sometimes I really made mistake that even previewing didn't help...... Also, I experienced once that my computer suddenly stopped working. After it worked again, my edits were all gone. Yep, totally gone. (It restarted my Internet Explorer!) I feel sorry that if I really clogged up the Revision History, but to prevent the "stop working incident" happen again and make my edits all gone, I need to save page when my edit reaches a certain process. I promise that I will limit my mistakes to as few as possible. For the Diamond and Pearl Walkthrough that I'm recently editing, I think that's where I clogged up the Revision History. I'm actually trying to make big edits, especially when I'm creating new parts. However, a walkthrough requires lots of information and 1 single edit is impossible to complete a page. I need to constantly add new information to make the walkthrough better, so clogging up the Revision History is not always avoidable, but I'll try my best to avoid it. --Tony YKS, replied at 12:45AM, 26th January,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)
A piece of advice I'm giving, just to tell you how I deal with this myself. I normally open a .txt document and write it all down there, saving every five minutes. After I'm getting close to it, I start previewing every so often to see how it's looking like. If I have some issues, I fix them on the text file I have open. Once I'm done, I select everything, copy it, paste it and then submit. Sure, I make a mistake here and there, but a quick second edit won't harm, unless I do it often. I think you could do that, take it or leave it. Masatoshitalk 16:58, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your advice! I've never thought about using Microsoft Word or other word processors to help me. I'll try it out. --Tony YKS, replied at 9:10AM, 26th January,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)

Reminder

Have you been using the Preview Button? Have you revved that text processor up? It's because you've made multiple edits to several articles, so I'm wondering if you forgot. If you did, then I'll just remind you to use the preview button and/or write everything in a text file so you can get the deal done in the least amount of edits possible. Masatoshitalk 06:13, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry for making mistakes. I accidentally pushed the wrong button. Also, I rushed through and forgot about Dual-slot mode in the walkthrough. --Tony YKS, replied at 6:10PM, 28th May,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to prevent promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 17:55, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Template

Hi, sorry for troubling you, but we have to take the staff's permission before creating a (mainspace) template.-- ✔Pokégeek✔ 16:54, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Oops! I'm very sorry for that. How can I ask for permission? --Tony YKS, replied at 7:50AM, 25the January,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)
Ask any active staff member. -- ✔Pokégeek✔ 11:21, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much! Next time if I want to create a new template, I'll be sure to ask one of the active staff members first. ---Tony YKS, replied at 7:40PM, 25the January,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)

Cantonese names

Sorry to bother you with this topic, but can you confirm if these Cantonese names are official: 葉子飛刀 (Razor Leaf), 怒吼 (Growl), and 咬噬 (Bite)? --超龍對話 13:57, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

I don't know the Cantonese name for Growl, but I'm sorry that for the remaining 2 moves, the Cantonese names you stated are not official. The official names are:
  • Razor Leaf: 飛葉快刀
  • Bite: 咬咬功
I hope my information helps. --Tony YKS, replied on 10:10PM, 30th January,2012 (Hong Kong Standard Time)
Thank you. If there are any differences between names of moves, would you mind adding them? --超龍對話 15:06, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Rotom

I am pointing out that Bulbapedia does not consider Rotom a legendary Pokémon. Yes, Manaphy can breed but it produces a Phione (which's status is actually disputed), while breeding Rotom will produce another Rotom - making it easier to obtain. Yes, it has legendary theme, but that does not make it a legendary. Some legendary Pokémon have usual wild battle theme. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 16:31, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Diamond and Pearl Walkthrough

Nice work on the Diamond and Pearl Walkthrough. One thing that needs to be improved regarding the Item and Available is to removing the Platinum symbols since Platinum is not part of that walkthrough in the same sense of how I did that with the Diamond and Pearl symbol by changing the yes to no on that template when I did the Platinum walkthrough. Also for things that appeared in Platinum only you can removing that Pokémon or Item from the list. You are welcome to handle the changes if you want since it is not that difficult to do if use the preview button to check the work, though I can also handle it myself.-Tyler53841 (talk) 15:21, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
