Hi
I noticed you have been editing the <code>User:</code> namespace a lot recently. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make in a short period of time. Heavy editing of these personal pages can put undue stress on the server, so please leave your page alone for now and go help out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so please help us to complete it! If you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit your userpage more often too. Thanks! --<span style="color:#78C850;">Psy</span>ライダー<span style="color:#C4E673;">☮</span> 19:16, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Torngentleman2!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

 • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
 • Read over the style primer before making your edits. It is a basic outline of Bulbapedia style. For a more in-depth set of rules, see the manual of style.
 • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
 • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
 • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
 • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
 • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
 • The use of link templates is official policy.
 • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
 • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
 • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
 • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
 • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Torngentleman2/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
 • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
 • There are certain restrictions on the content and amount of userspace content a user is allowed. For details, see the Userspace policy.
 • Unless prior permission is given, no user is permitted to edit another user's page. Furthermore, edits to other users' pages are permitted only if there are problems that spread to other parts of Bulbapedia, such as broken links that appear on the wanted pages, switching out duplicate images that appear on the Archives, etc.
 • Fan fictions, missions, riddles, games, and anything else deemed not suitable for the wiki will not be allowed. If you would like to add something, but do not know if it is acceptable, ask an administrator.
 • A list of administrators that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! --Nick., something to say? 17:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Wait until it airs

Staraptor hasn't evolved yet because Bulbapedia waits til it airs. Until the epsisode has airs, it hasn't happened. The Dark Fiddler - Is teh Pedia laggin 4 u 2? 16:25, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Like your edits to Battle Dimension, your edit to Dawn's Mamoswine is also speculation. It is highly frowned upon here as we pride ourselves with factual information. So, please don't add speculation. Thank you. --PsychicRider 16:53, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Link Templates

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, Dawn instead of just Dawn. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

For a full crash course on link templates, look at the list of link templates. ----freezingCOLD (page, talk) 20:24, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi

I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot today. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make in a short period of time. Instead of making multiple edits, why not use the Preview button (Alt + Shift + P) located right next to the edit button to look at your page and see how it is coming? That way, your page can look great while staying within the required amount of edits. Instead of editing the userspace, as a wiki, we encourage users to edit the mainspace. So, if you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit the userspace more. Thanks! --Kevzo8 10:03, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Gender.

Please take into account Legendary Pokémon do not have genders (aside from four, but the Legendaries we're talking about do not). Which means, even in the animé, their gender is "none", not "unknown". Please remember this in the future. ~~Takoto - サソデイ 20:50, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Actually, we had an agreement on this. Games do not always equally anime. In the case of Silver, it is obvious that Legendaries do have genders in the anime. --ケンジガール 21:00, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
I wouldn't say that just because one Legendary has gender then that suddenly means every Legendary has a gender, for example, Heatran has a gender, but does that mean that Mewtwo, or Palkia, or Deoxys have a gender? Nope. I know games aren't the same as the animé, of course I know that, but I was assuming. Also I didn't actually know about this Silver, t'was probably in a episode I didn't get to watch so yeah. I'd just say Silver is a special case... I mean there's been no other mention of Legendaries having genders in the animé other than that right? Aside from Latias and Latios, Heatran and Cresselia, of course. ~~Takoto - サソデイ 21:20, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Well there have been occasions in the anime where there are multiple legendary Pokémon compared to the one that's available in the games. This would include Celebi and Shaymin. Not to mention that there are two different Mew in the anime. The only reason genders weren't given to most legendary Pokémon in the games was so that they would be unable to breed. I doubt it's the same case in the anime. It's best to leave it as Unknown. You should check the other anime Legendary pages. They all say unknown too. --ケンジガール 21:30, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Still, just because theres more than one doesn't mean they have a gender. These are Legendary Pokémon, they've been around for hundreds of years (presumably), they could just be immortal, with no need to reproduce, thus no need for genders. I'm not arguing, merely pointing out, I accept that Bulbapedia recognizes them as "Unknown" rather than "None" when it comes to gender. ~~Takoto - サソデイ 22:36, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Template:User Earthquake Give

Do NOT recreate deleted templates. If you wish to make that tag, you can use User Template. --αワニノコ 16:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey.

Make usertags in the user: namespace and stop putting them in the template: namespace. For more info see our Usertag policy --RexRacer 18:27, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I did move it. It's right here. --RexRacer 18:53, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much for now. Please do not edit your page any more for now. Thank you. --MaverickNate 19:02, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Stop.

Do not edit the User: namespace any more. In the past, we were not allowed to edit our pages at all because of users over-editing their pages. If you edit your page any more without making some edits to the mainspace, then the privilege for you to edit the userspace will be removed. This has been your final warning. ---- MAGNEDETH 18:59, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
