Would it perhaps be more realistic to split the MoS up into multiple articles? We have a set style and formatting for (move) pages, a style and formatting we use for (Pokémon) pages, another style and formatting for anime episodes, and so on. As it is, hell, the thing is so long, I still haven't read it. I came to the current MoS to check the basic formatting on a anime episode article, and had to dig through piles of text and formatting for every other article type we've got.

I'll happily get to work writing up various article type guides, if you'd like to try that tack instead. Keep the general MoS page for stuff that applies to the whole site (don't edit in second-person, etc.), and also use it as a portal for the other, more specific guides. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:49, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Subpages are a good thing. Evan suggested it, and it'd really reduce the size of this monster... so yeah. TTEchidna 02:30, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

The "Water-type"?

Thought I'd bring this up here. When referring to the type as a whole, do we still hyphenate "(type) type"?

As in:

  • "The Water type is supposed by some fans to be broken."
vs.
  • "The Water-type is supposed by some fans to be broken."

Because I always thought that "Water-type", "Dark-type", etc. would only be hyphenated when referring to the noun form of the adjective. Ztobor 04:15, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

They are hyphenated when they are adjectives, and not hyphenated when they are nouns. For example, Bulbasaur is a Grass-type Pokémon, while the Grass type is an Elemental type. Werdnae (talk) 06:19, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
Alright, because that means I need to change a few articles. Ztobor 14:32, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi

Is this dead? If so, can we delete it? If not, can we talk about it? Although I've been guilty of this many times in the past, I'm not super keen on having something in the userspace categorized as a regular page for over a year. --P o L i 18:37, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
