Well, another month, another clean slate. Now don't everyone go editing the page when its protection expires... TTEchidna

Can you fix this?

I tried to archive Talk:Main Page but I did it wrong. Can you please do a history merge on it to fix the history? Baby G 22:05, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Problem resolved TTE, no need to worry. (no pun intended) --ケンジガール 23:04, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Hey, don't you start making fun of me, too. TTEchidna 04:47, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Can I retract my vote?

I voted for Porygon-Z to be an admin but I want to retract it. Is that okay? It was here. Rpp 01:13, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Rpp

Uhm... I... guess? TTEchidna 01:20, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Nevermind. Porygon-Z wants that vote. Thanks anyway. Rpp 22:03, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Rpp

Categorise

I hope you don't mind the I changed it. It really had a wrong spelling. tc26 06:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Categorize is the correct spelling... here at least. TTEchidna 06:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, are we always supposed to use American spelling? I've probably used a British-ism at least once on here. Don't know if I'll be able to find it though. Flicky1991 08:46, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Well by "here" I meant more the US. Bulbapedia's not yet set a policy officially... though we do prefer that people don't go just changing the spellings randomly. TTEchidna 18:24, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Babel

Could you make a template for Greek too?--Fern 24 08:55, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I didn't even know that one could be made. May I make one too?--M-M-DRule! 09:07, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Anyone can make a babel template... All you gotta do is follow the style of the others. Heck even the one used on BulbaBot's page is in the same style... TTEchidna 18:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Ash's Primeape

Which pic is better? File:Ash's Primeape.png or File:PrimeapeGoesBananas.gif--KukiTalk 20:04, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Left one looks cleaner. TTEchidna 20:05, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean by "cleaner"? Baby G 20:10, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
I dunno. It looks better. TTEchidna 20:15, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
But it's too dark, and we've had the other for 22 months!--KukiTalk 20:16, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
But PrimeapeGoesBananas.gif doesn't have a link source, while Ash's Primeape.png does. Baby G 20:17, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Gifs also suck. TTEchidna 20:18, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Not every pic NEEDS A LINK SOURCE!--KukiTalk 20:19, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

I personally think we can find one better than both of them. The one on the left, while of a superior file type (PNG), looks a bit distorted. The one on the right, on the other hand, is of an inferior file type (GIF) and, as such, some of the colors got lost in translation. Additionally, the nature of the images suggests that a good image from a middle ground (JPEG) may in fact be the best solution in this case.
Of course, that's just my . I ain't going to argue over a final decision regardless of how it goes. --Shiningpikablu252 20:21, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
@Kuki: Link sources are important so we can trace images to exactly where they came from. Baby G 20:22, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Personally I'd prefer it if we could get them straight from the episode. Anyone got the DVDs and a computer that plays 'em? TTEchidna 20:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Did u c what Baby G just said?--KukiTalk 20:24, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Well, the link source I provided for Ash's Primeape.png is a YouTube video, and because the YouTube video has no commercials in it, I think whoever uploaded the YouTube video, got the episode from a DVD of theirs. Baby G 20:26, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
And there it is. TTEchidna 20:26, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

And I quote Baby G: @Kuki. End quote--KukiTalk 20:27, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

That still doesn't change the fact its a crappy picture and it's an eye sore. Youtube huh? Oh wow what a great source. Now people can know Bulbapedia gets pictures from an illegally posted video. --ケンジガール 20:28, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
That's how most people watch the raws anyway... because despite living in a globalized world both Japan and the US go "wah" when anyone wants to get their stuff legally... TTEchidna 22:28, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
I used to have the disc until it blew up...Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links01:24 31 Aug 2008

willing to help!

I know that Bulbapedia needs help with the moves and i'm will ing to do a lot! The only thing stoping me is that I don't really understand how to work the whole wiki thing. So if you can help I will do a lot more work on the site! Rucario64 21:10, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Look at how others edit by checking the recent changes. Read over the manual of style. You'll get it. TTEchidna 22:29, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Question.

Can I make a Category for Pokémon Events? (Ex:Pokémon Rocks America, Poké-Fiesta, etc..)--☆Coolピカチュウ! 08:18, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Nevermind.--☆Coolピカチュウ! 08:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
How can I update my calender to my time zone and what is this for?--☆Coolピカチュウ! 07:24, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the clock, calender thing but what is the thing I have hidden for on the Calender?--☆Coolピカチュウ! 05:36, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, that was initially meant for me to have it be special on game anniversaries, but it didn't work so I took it out of mine. TTEchidna 05:38, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Okay. Thank You.--☆Coolピカチュウ! 06:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Do the Shadow moves have to be updated to Pokémon Platinum? And how can I find the pages that need to be made to Pokémon Platinum standard?--☆Coolピカチュウ! 02:51, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Not have to, since it's not urgent, but should be after the rest are done. TTEchidna 02:52, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay. But how can I locate the pages that need to be updated?--☆Coolピカチュウ! 03:03, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Those that aren't in the category of them updated are the ones you should... there's no way to decategorize pages. TTEchidna 04:04, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay.--☆Coolピカチュウ! 06:51, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Guess what

I had a dream last night involving a group of people referred to as "the admins of all the sites I go on". Since I don't know what you looked like, you looked like some random 12-year-old boy. Strangely, the only admin who I actually know didn't appear. BTW, I don't know why I'm telling you this. Flicky1991 09:06, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

That's odd, considering I'm about eight years older... TTEchidna 09:24, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
How's my dream supposed to know that? It also thought I knew Vernon Kay and can breathe underwater. :O Flicky1991 10:33, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
At least you didn't meet your friend's fanfic characters. TTEchidna 00:05, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
So, what did I look like in this dream now? :P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 01:15, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Since I've never heard of you, it would have been surprising if you appeared...
By admins, I meant, like, the main admins. No offence. :) Flicky1991 15:22, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey Jio...BURN! ;) MoldyOrange 15:23, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Trade

We were supposed to trade rembember? Lugia Fan Club rules!!!LugiaRules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 01:16, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah... when was that, though? And for what? Wasn't it a DeepSeaScale? TTEchidna 01:42, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Yees it was a deep sea scale for my reaper cloth and it was almost 2 months ago. Lugia Fan Club rules!!!LugiaRules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 15:25, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Well... let's schedule a date and time. This coming Sunday at 3 PM CDT good? TTEchidna 01:10, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
4 PM ET? OK! Lugia Fan Club rules!!!LugiaRules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 12:59, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Now just remind me of it... TTEchidna 18:36, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
OK! Lugia Fan Club rules!!!LugiaRules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 13:27, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Wormadam, Shellos and Gastrodon

Can you please fix their sprites in this page? I'm not being able to get the three different Wormadam sprites or the two Shellos and Gastrodon sprites.--M-M-DRule! 05:13, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Fixed. TTEchidna 05:18, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

On this page as well please...--M-M-DRule! 09:33, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

It was right, the template just didn't have the support for it yet. Tell me if any others need integrated support. TTEchidna 01:16, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Move Accuracy

Is there some guideline of how the accuracy of a move should be worded? The damage too. I'm seeing alot of different things. Moves with 90% accuracy have different things such as "slightly inaccurate" or "mostly accurate", but in my opinion should all have the same. Porygon-Z 06:24, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

We should probably decide on a set list depending on the accuracy, and mark it off on the MoveDex project page or the formatting guide. It shouldn't be too massive of a project to sync all the moves up to a single standard. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:15, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. That'd be a good plan. TTEchidna 08:36, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

User:EditMaster

I thought the block length you gave him was a bit harsh, seeing as other vandals, such as Servercrash vandalized much worse and got less time. Servercrash added "HEY THERE KIDS I'M GONNA FIND OUT WHERE YOU LIVE A RAPE YOUR FAMILY" to pages, and I think that warrants a tougher block than what EditMaster did. Therefore, I shortened EditMaster's block length. If you think I was wrong to do so, you're welcome to lengthen the block time. --ニョロトノ666 21:03, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

if thats the case, i hope "Servercrash" got upped to an infinite block. thats completely uncalled for. as for EditMaster, he falls into a category of, in my opinion, "users whom will never be useful contributors". -- MAGNEDETH 22:29, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
I still don't see why these people don't get infinite bans. THEY'RE NOT GOING TO COME BACK AND MAKE GOOD EDITS. Sheesh. Porygon-Z 23:24, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
exactly my point. -- MAGNEDETH 23:42, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Bad name

Since you're an admin and you can see deleted pages, I want you to look at this template and tell me whether you find it useful or not, because Moldy orange keeps deleting my templates without even asking other admins if the templates are useful or not. Baby G 00:37, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

I think he has enough common sense to know if they're useful or not...Porygon-Z 01:45, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
If anything a merge template should exist. TTEchidna 01:50, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
You mean Template:Merge? (It already does exist.) MoldyOrange 01:57, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Okay then! Well, basically, it's an admin's decision alone what to do with a template. We don't have to convene for everything; that'd be like having to have a Senate vote every day about what each Senator should get for lunch. TTEchidna 02:08, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Protection?

Hey, my fav admin! Fabu-Vinny had protected Ash's page due to "warring over manga Pokemon." Missingno. Master Had put out Ash's befriended Pokemon into the table. Afterwards, Kenji-girl reverted it, where then Missingno. Master reverted the revert. Then I talked to him and found out it was just a misunderstanding, so I reverted the revert of the revert. That's not an edit war. So my point is this: I think Fabu-Vinny should figure things out before acting. I think he always misuses his powers. Another example will be the time I didn't know about the "personal image rule". He deleted all my pictures without even telling anyone. He didn't even stop to think if I had back-up files or not. But luckily, I had a copy in my hard drive. I think better admins like you should talk to him about this. It's really getting on OUR nerves. Thanks for your time.--☆Tavisource 00:04, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

The two image rule has been here since the beginning, if you didn't know it, it is your own fault. And, "The revert of the reverted revert" is an edit war and it was since Kenji girl was reverted, you should have listened to her the first time. Fabu-vinny is just doing what he is supposed to do and believes is best, he became an admin for a reason you know: he has helped Bulbapedia and he knows a whole lot more about what needs to be done and how to do it than you ever will. If you don't like him as an admin, tough luck; your opinion on what you think of him isn't going to change his position over you! MoldyOrange 00:30, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Moldy orange, I think you've got it wrong. I'm on Kenji-girl's side. Missingno. Master started an edit war with HER and I stopped it...my point is that the war isn't going on, so why does it have to be protected. Get it?--☆Tavisource 04:45, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Because you know how some people can't let an edit war drop. It was protected to prevent the edit war until tempers cool. Which will be the end of the month. TTEchidna 06:03, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Fabu-Vinny's a pretty cool guy, from what I can tell. Those situations were just flukes, and they certainly weren't personal attacks against you. Admins can't always take the time to fully research a situation; TTE once chastised me for not using link templates, when I wasn't even the guy who added those links. Anyway, just be more open to him, and I'm sure you'll grow to like him. --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 06:20, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Exactly! You can't even trust me not to screw up at least once! TTEchidna 06:43, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Can you make a ruling please?

I have been having a dispute where both sides think they are right and refuse to budge and would like your input because im being told something about policy that makes no sense. The Placebo Effect 03:43, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Stranger things have happened in those console games. It's assuming good faith in all edits. Asking doesn't hurt, though. Removing it for no reason does. TTEchidna 06:09, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
