Now, this time, please, don't fill it up thrice in a month! I REALLY HATE MOVING IT THIS MUCH.

I aim to keep this until December!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

Should the PMD Pokemon have their own sprites...some people already created some sprites...I need to know, so people would stop if you don't allow them....what's your view?--Tavisource 23:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

...like... um, the specials? Ehhh... I'd be hesitant. No more than there currently are, I'd say. TTEchidna 02:12, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Oy!

You're the new Editor-in-Chief! That sucks! The 'pedia will crash and burn! --ニョロトノ666 01:18, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I know, won't it! Though I've essentially been in power since last year. Uhm... EDIBOARD SWITCHUP. TTEchidna 02:30, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Check your email

I've replied to your request --PAK Man Talk 02:43, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Good, good.
Now I need everyone to get AIM. TTEchidna 02:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Sent an email from my end as well. I don't have AIM, but I'm expecting to find out of Windows Live Messenger can chat with AIM users anyway. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 07:05, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

DP099 Protection

I don't know who else to ask this, but this page needs to be protected. A user keeps removing the K-Zone note when it should be there.

----HoennMaster 06:24, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Edit: Page is protected, but someone needs to talk some sense into Kenji-girl because they refuse to leave this note when it is correct.

----HoennMaster 06:27, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

You know, I am an Admin so protecting isn't going to stop me from removing it. You need to learn to not revert admins decisions. --ケンジガール 06:28, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I didn't know you were an admin before this and your obviously abusing that power and being stubborn. It was in the magazine, that's why that mote is there.

----HoennMaster 06:31, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

"Details of the episode were released by K-Zone, a childrens magazine, before any Japanese listing"
To me, that doesn't sound like what you are trying to argue. You simply said that K-Zone said that he would appear and he did. How exactly did that gives us details of the episode? The details they gave weren't even right. The first to announce the episode was Pokeani, not K-Zone. K-Zone made up something and we shouldn't be mentioning it just because they were right the first few times. Before they gave out the actual title and the correct details of the episode only weeks before the actual airdate. This time they didn't. They just said Aaron would be in the anime and the details of the episode weren't known until recently, when Pokeani annouced it. --ケンジガール 06:39, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Again, your just saying they guessed, you don't know that. Obviously they did know something.

----HoennMaster 06:43, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Either way, a mention should be made about K-Zone. TTEchidna 21:21, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Admins

ElectAbuzzzz and Takoto were both nominated for adminship one month from today, and they both have enough votes in favour for them to become admins. So, do your thing, man. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:45, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for reminding me. However, I'm gonna wait on it until later on tonight. Don't quite have a clear head right now, with my second class still upcoming. TTEchidna 20:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I don't know if this is the right place to mention this but...

Basically, I've noticed that there is a distinct lack of articles on the Pokemon Special manga, which I'm actually a big fan of. I've all of the episodes up to the RubySapphire arc saved on my computer. I've added to basic information on the page about the RedGreenBlue arc, and I wanted to do some pages on the main Pokemon in the series. Of course, I don't have the necessary rights to upload images, so I was wondering if I could either be given them or if someone else could upload pictures which would help (eg. Red's Poliwrath) Also, I don't know how these 'Projects' are started (eg. Project Movedex) but I thought it might be time to start one about Pokemon Special. Thanks and sorry if you're not the right guy to ask! --- --Gastly's Mama

CoolPikachu! already started up Project Manga, which works with Special, among other things. --((Marton imos)) 23:01, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
Awesome! Thank you very much! --- --Gastly's Mama

Yep.

I don't have an AIM, but my e-mail is right here! I check it every day, since I get a fair bit of mail, so feel free to e-mail me! --ニョロトノ666 02:07, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Flint (Elite Four)

I'm having trouble removing a link to the Battle Frontier disambig from this page due to the link's usage in a template that doesn't allow workarounds. Since you're the expert template hacker, is it possible to get the template that uses the disambig to link to Battle Frontier (Sinnoh) while still displaying just Battle Frontier? Thanks. --Shiningpikablu252 02:59, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

The template is {{si}} for Sinnoh parentheticals. TTEchidna 03:43, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
However seeing as that wasn't the problem, I added a parameter to the Party template, link, for alt-texting. TTEchidna 03:46, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Did you get your Wi-Fi thing working yet?

Do you even still want to trade?--RexRacer -talk 03:55, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

No but I still want to trade. TTEchidna 04:11, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
YOu can find a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots in your area at Nintendo.com--RexRacer -talk 04:13, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
The problem is getting in contact and getting to these places. TTEchidna 04:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

TCG cards damage calculation

User:Shiningpikablu252 reverted me on Aura's Lucario ("PCG-P" Promo 92). He claimed that it was previously decided damage calculations are not notable enough to belong in an article unless they influence the metagame. I asked him where this was decided, yet he ignores me and he's made an implied threat if I added it back in. Do you happen to know of such a debate?
The discussion took place here, here, and here. I believe that if I'm going to be blocked for something, at least I should have better reasons than "It's not notable enough" (since there's no notability rule on content added to existing pages) and "It's been decided by the community" (since he hasn't produced a record of such). He's ignoring me, so I turn to you to explain why this data shouldn't be on the page. --Raijinili 08:46, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Shiningpikablu. There's nothing unusual about the damage calculation - loads of cards have similar moves, so the info's not really specific to the card. I think the only way you could get the fact mentioned is if there was an article about types of TCG moves (ones which do regular damage, ones which depend on coin tosses, etc.), where the trivia would be more relevant. But that seems a lot of trouble to go to just to get this random piece of trivia mentioned. It's not even very interesting trivia - I studied Statistics for two years and now I'm doing Further Maths, and even I don't find it interesting, so I think we're better off without it. Next time you add trivia, make sure it's very specific to the page you're putting it on. Flicky1991 18:08, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't really see why that specific fact of "average 30 damage" would be needed. I see it as "opportunity for as much damage as I want, but chance to do nothing". Plus, all mathematical averages aside, the two most likely damages are 0 and 30, not just 30. You get tails on the first flip, you lose. TTEchidna 18:14, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Small question

Hi. I was wondering: is there a way to redirect categories? I searched but couldn't find anything. The reason I ask is this. It's mostly misspellings or alternate spellings of existing categories. If redirecting is impossible, should I go through these users and politely suggest they change the spelling in their template to the existing categories? --electAbuzzzz 13:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I wish they could be. But nope. You gotta change the pages calling the category. TTEchidna 18:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Too bad. I'm assuming it'd be wrong of me to change the userpages myself, right? Should I go through all these users and ask them if they want to change it so that they'll be in the right category? --electAbuzzzz 18:12, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
If it's users getting stuck in non-user categories (such as someone accidentally putting themselves in the Category:User tags), then I don't think you should have to ask to fix it. Anything else is a grey area, I'd say; we don't really have a rule that says you can or can't go fixing stuff like that, as far as I know. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:12, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
That's not the case. Look here. It's users who used {{User Country}} before it auto-categorized. Now, we have a category named Users from the United States, but not "Users from the United States of America". Get the problem? --electAbuzzzz 19:16, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Yes, I just noticed that myself. You can just edit the user tags then, though; the category links are in the user tags, not actually in the user's pages. For the United States of America one, for example, I'd simply switch the category link on the smaller one to point to the bigger group. People can use either tag in that case, and it'll all go to the same category. Might end up with a few extra tags, but the categories would be nice and pretty. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 19:17, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
That's not the way this template works. Check its coding and its use on userpages, you'll see that I'll have to touch others' userpages to correct this. --electAbuzzzz 19:20, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
The rule is "No edits to other users' pages unless problems stemming from their page spread to outside places (wanted pages, wanted categories, duplicate files) you are allowed to edit them, since you are solving a problem bigger than just the userpage. MoldyOrange 19:22, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Great, thanks. I'm on it. --electAbuzzzz 19:23, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

Baby G

Baby G has done six edits to his userspace today, after twice being given a final warning for over-editing the userspace. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 21:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

3 is not the same as 6.

Looks like 3 to me. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 22:29, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I really hate how deleting a page makes the edits seemingly disappear from the Contributions Log. Baby G made three edits (combined) on the now deleted User:Baby G/Pokémon I love and hate and User:Baby G/Archive bottom. Both pages were deleted by PAK Man as shown on the Deletion Log.
Baby G, just cause the pages were deleted, doesn't mean you didn't make the three edits to them. Lying to the current head sysop isn't a good idea... - Kogoro | Talk to me | 22:38, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
But since they're deleted, they don't count. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 22:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
That's like saying the Tiananmen square protests didn't happen just because the Chinese government domestically censors any mention of it in the media. You made those edits whether the page was deleted afterward or not.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 22:44, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Baby G only made three. End of story. MoldyOrange 22:49, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm on Urutapu's side. Even if it was deleted, it will never disappear in the history in this website~Ποκεμανιακα0β 22:51, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
It looks to me like the extra edits were putting delete tags on the pages in question... at least two of them, anyway. --((Marton imos)) 22:51, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Those three edits were to put the delete tags on the pages. That is a justifiable reason to edit the page. Justifiable reasons are not counted. Other justifiable reasons include: removing unneeded red-links that appear in the wanted pages, changing things so that they don't appear in the wrong category, changing duplicate images, etc... These do not count toward the other userspace edits that are just junk that people put on pages. These were fixing problems that appear outside of the userpage. Those three deleted ones do not count! MoldyOrange 22:54, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh, okay lol~Ποκεμανιακα0β 23:02, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
The only place the rule seems to have been officially mentioned (other than when people break the rule) is on the Message from the Editor (This is at least the only one I have found), and the wording for it is extremely vague. "Also, keep in mind that the current limit on Userspace edits is three; this not only covers your main Userspace page, but any subpages you may have, and any other User’s page. However, editing others' pages is almost always not allowed, so try to keep your edits to your own page." The way that reads is that any edit to the userspace, counts and once you hit 4, you have broken the rule. If there are exceptions to the rule, then they should be officially mentioned, so problems such as this one won't occur again. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 23:04, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
The exceptions are listed on Template:Welcome. MoldyOrange 23:07, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I re-read the welcome template (as it's different from when I joined) and the exceptions are listed only for editing another user's page(s) not anything to do with the 3-edit rule. (At least this is how it seems to be worded when I read it) - Kogoro | Talk to me | 23:10, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
