Talk pages for Robot Chicken skit guides: Pokémon Bloopers Pikachu Secret

The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!

If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.

thank you

thank you for all the help where can i get thoese things that say i hate mudkip and I am male ect...

The usertags you're seeking can be found in subcategories of Category:User tags. I don't know of any "I hate Mudkip" user tag (the only special user tags involving Mudkip involve whether or not that person licks Mudkips, with "liek" being a corruption of "lick"), so you might want to use {{User Template}} and fill in the details. As for a male usertag, {{User Male}} is what you're looking for. --Shiningpikablu252 20:13, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

so i herd u liek Mudkipz

Man...what the hell are you talking about? First: the "liek" is a mispronunciation of "like". And, "composition of Mudkip scales"? "Narcotic"? "Drug-induced"? Man, "ecstasy"??? Are you getting mad or what?--May.pngHaruka uzumaki File:Ani038MS.gif 02:49, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

TCG Redirects

Why are you redirecting to the older articles? As a rule, the newer versions of cards have the correct text to suit their rulings. For instance, Steven's Advice reads that the card cannot be played if the player has MORE THAN SEVEN cards in their hand, while the Power Keepers version reads that the card cannot be played if the player has SEVEN OR MORE cards in their hand. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Ask TTEchidna. --Shiningpikablu252 21:42, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
My opinion is that the card should redirect to the oldest release, but have both the original text as well as the newer texts. It'd be on the TCG main page that "cards are played according to the most recent version". TTEchidna 00:08, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Typless Moves?

Are they really? I've beaten all of Mystery Dungeon and never noticed that. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Yep, Mystery Dungeon's special attacks all lack a type. Be they the dummied out Excavate and Vertical Cut from PMD1, the PMD1-only Horizontal Cut, the PMD2-only Wide Slash, or Vacuum-Cut available in both PMD1 and PMD2, moves made specifically for a Mystery Dungeon game lack types. --Shiningpikablu252 23:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Deck

Since you know a lot about the TCG, please rate my Ampha-Gon δ Card Machine deck. --Shiny NoctowlTalk | ContribsFile:Ani164MS.gif 01:52, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Card Lists

Should we include EX cards in the lists? Blastoise EX is missing from Blastoise. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

No it's not. My bad. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif
Don't worry. It wasn't exactly obvious right away. Such is the nature of that kind of pages. --Shiningpikablu252 02:01, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

re modified format

sorry sir i do not know much about what was before E-on (2003-2004) so yeh. ~jason 3.26am oct 21st 07.

Did I do this right?

Celebi. It's my first time. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Not bad for a first try...--Shiningpikablu252 00:42, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

TCG Card Articles

The card text on the cards reads "Celebi," not "this Pokémon." Why should it read that way under "card text," when that isn't the actual card text? I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but I'm curious. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

It's something in the TCG called the self-referencing rule. Whenever an effect mentions itself and only itself, it's considered a self-refernece. Self-references are treated as if they read "this Pokémon" for purposes such as Clefable's Metronome and other effects that copy attacks/effects.
Note that not every occurence of a Pokémon's name is a self-reference--for example, Nidoran♀'s Call for Family attack would look awkward if the occurence of Nidoran♀ in the attack effect were to be treated as a self-reference. As you know, there is no card actually titled "this Pokémon", and as such, it's not treated as a self-reference. Stuff in this fashion does not even use the TT template.
Finally, you need two vertical pipes to use the TT template properly. The displayed text goes after the first pipe and before the second, while the hidden text shown by rolling over goes after the second pipe. For example, {{tt|Celebi|this Pokémon}} would display as Celebi. Leaving out the second pipe displays a {{{2}}} when rolling over it. --Shiningpikablu252 21:14, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Ah. Have you corrected that on the Crobat page, yet? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Littleroot Town mistake

I am sorry about that. Even though i do have Pokemon Sapphire, i forgot about Route 101. Sorry!--Boywonder01 01:42, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

This is ridiculous...

Do you see what I see? The absurd irregularities in the old card articles and the new ones? Why the heck do we need to have physical info about the Pokémon (length, weight) when a user can just go to the main article on the Pokémon? And there are some technical differences... Have a look and see what I mean. Oh, and what's wrong with the Raikou article I just wrote? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

On the Raikou's attack, you botched up an "e" template. On the Pokédex data--which is actually printed on cards from Base Set to Neo Destiny and from Diamond & Pearl onward, and is a standard feature on a Pokémon card article from any of those sets--you didn't put a line feed before the table-close code, causing the article to continue the table where it shouldn't have gone. --Shiningpikablu252 23:16, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry. I'm still a newbie at the TCG stuff. Thanks for all your help. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Sorry

Sorry for you having to move my mission pages.....--File:Spr 3e 115.gifTheryguy512File:Spr 3e 202.gifFile:Spr 3e 327.gif 00:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Eh?

How come that you aren't a Administrator? I think you should be because of the hundreds of edits you make per night. Lol, just a thought. File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALKFile:Ani474MS.gif 21:02, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Edit counts have nothing to do with sysopship. Argy is a sysop, yet rarely makes edits here. Then there's the matter of Ketsuban, a sysop who usually makes quite a few edits at once but doesn't show up all that often. Just because Pie, a sysop, is the only other user here to have earned the coveted 2000 edits in a month tag doesn't mean anyone who makes a sh*tload of edits at once should be a sysop. Just my two cents. --Shiningpikablu252 21:12, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Just seems that you should get Administratorship because of your dediction to Bulbapedia. XD File:Ani137MS.gifTESHFile:Ani233MS.gifTALKFile:Ani474MS.gif 21:14, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm dedicated! *sigh* I think that I should be an admin..... --File:Spr 3e 115.gifTheryguy512File:Spr 3e 202.gifFile:Spr 3e 327.gif 21:31, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Tesh is right. In fact, I was really close to asking the same thing. If there is ONE user who actually deserves administratorship on this wiki at this point in time, it's you. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

TCG Pictures

How are they? I have almost all of Neo Discovery done, and I'm going to be done with it in a few minutes. The Team Rocket set is done except for the commons as well (those are proving a little hard to get). By the way, is there any way to move Bulbagarden Archives files? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

You're doing pretty good. Just make sure you actually upload an image before removing it from The List--I had to put holo Umbreon back on after not finding a matching image.
As for your other question, unfortunately, no, you can't move stuff in the Image namespace on Bulbagarden Archives. Sorry. --Shiningpikablu252 23:06, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
