Welcome to Bulbapedia, Rahl!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Crustle and Dig

Just because Cilan's Crustle burrowed into the ground does not always mean that it used Dig. For an analogy: a ton of Flying types were seen flying in various media, but that's because they can fly naturally, not because they know the move Fly. Instead of adding it back and sparking an edit war, try bringing it up on the article's Talk Page instead. Thank you. Berrenta (talk) 17:39, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

Tracey's Marill

Please don't add back the Fairy typing on Tracey's Marill. Because it hasn't appeared since the Fairy type has been revealed, it does not need to be changed. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 22:38, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

Edit warring

Hello, I've noticed that you've been constantly re-adding content that has been removed several times by staff and other editors in general. This is considered edit warring, which is a blockable offense on Bulbapedia. Because of the amount of times you've already been edit warring today, continuing to edit war without discussion will lead to a temporary block from editing. Please keep this in mind during the future. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 22:49, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

Jessie's Woobat

Please do not remove the notice about the Woobat trivia. It is there to warn users not to add it because it is unnotable. Also, please do not revert a user (especially an admin), if you disagree with the reversion bring it up to the talk page of the article. Thank you for reading.--ForceFire 02:50, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Fairy-type Pokemon on move pages

Please be more careful when you're adding the Fairy type to Pokemon on move pages. If the subsection (usually tutored or event moves) does not cover Generation VI, the Pokemon should not be listed as Fairy-type, since they weren't at any point that the subsection covers. It's the same reason that, above, Funktastic asked you not to change Tracey's Marill to Fairy-type. Thanks for your understanding. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:38, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Den Zen 18:02, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Hold on!

If you did not read your last warning, then please read it now. You have edited the User: namespace too much. In the past, no one was allowed to edit their userpages because some users were over-editing their own userpages. Your personal editing privileges can be taken away, so please do not edit your page any more for now. Instead, how about helping contribute to some of Bulbapedia's many articles? Thank you. --Den Zen 18:21, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

I did see it. I stopped as soon as I did.Chy-i (talk) 01:15, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

Your userpage

I noticed you copied it from my userpage, so when did you copy it, and if you don't know, I'll contact an active admin. --Cinday123 (Talk) 03:51, 8 February 2014 (UTC) I did it a few weeks ago. I'm sorry if its a problem I will change it if immediately.Chy-i (talk) 14:16, 8 February 2014 (UTC)

Talk Page Comments

Removing talk page comments, including the initial welcome template, is prohibited per Bulbapedia's talk page policy. Please do not remove any comments in the future. If you wish to clean old comments away, you should archive your talk page instead. Thank you! --It's Funktastic~!話してください 21:42, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for the info, will not happen again.Chy-i (talk) 21:47, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

EP017

Like the trivia said, they were implied to be male because of the pronouns they used that are commonly used by males. This does not mean that it is a straight up confirmation of their gender. I don't know if the staff of the past had any discussions about this, but seeing as how they've never added the gender and stuck it in the trivia, I'm guessing that they didn't count the implications as their genders being confirmed.--ForceFire 12:13, 11 May 2014 (UTC)

Far-reaching changes

If you want to make a structural edit that will affect a wide range of pages, as you did to many Trainers' Pokemon in the anime recently, it's usually best to suggest it on a talk page first rather than just do it, so you can get feedback on whether it's a good idea. That way, you don't waste your time making a bunch of edits that get undone, and somebody else doesn't waste their time undoing all those edits. Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 21:13, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

Userspace pages

Make sure when you're making templates or any type of userspace pages, you start the page with User:Rahl/ , or otherwise you'll make the page in the mainspace where it doesn't belong. I've moved your page for you. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 20:02, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. I didn't know how to fix it.Chy-i (talk) 20:52, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

Abuse

Due to your numerous edits to your Gym Leader user page today, your userspace privileges have been revoked. You edited the page 16 times even though you're allowed to make only three userspace edits per day (provided that you've made four mainspace edits). And while the EB may give special permissions if the page in question is intended for mainspace, your page looks more like personal stuff just for fun.

You can request an admin to give you your rights back if you think you've redeemed yourself by being helpful on the mainspace.--Den Zen 17:56, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

Your Gym Leader userpage

I had to go through and remove some redlinks on that page, as they have appeared in the Wanted pages. There were also some redirects, but it's mostly redlinks. Be sure to check to see if you intend to create links to pages that do not exist. If the page in question will exist later on, that's fine, but if not, either remove them or replace the link with one to a relevant page that does exist. Also, try not to get the templates {{color}} and {{color2}} confused: the latter creates a link in that color, while the former just colors the text. Just letting you know. Berrenta (talk) 01:35, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Alright, thank you very much.Chy-i (talk) 01:36, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Fletchinder

Anime ≠ Games. In the anime, Pokémon have been able to use more that 4 moves at once in one episode, like Ash's Kingler and Misty's Gyarados and Caserin. Also, In Cilan Takes Flight, Cilan's Pansage still knew Bite even when in earlier episodes, he used Bullet Seed, Solar Beam, Dig and Rock Tomb. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 05:46, 27 July 2014 (UTC)

While that has happened, Fletchinder has only been seen using Flame Charge. Since it learned a new move it more than likely lost one of those four moves. As soon as it is seen using them then it can be added.Rahl (talk) 01:18, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

Genders

We only add in genders for Pokémon who are confirmed to have them, including the ones who are normally genderless. PattyMan 20:04, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Dub titles

Hello, please stop adding the dub titles for now. They are not 100% confirmed yet (unless you have a source that proves otherwise). Adyniz has said "consider these unconfirmed for now" on the forums. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:27, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't know about that sorry. I will stop until its confirmed.Rahl (talk) 16:33, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

It's ok. I've undone all of your dub title edits for now. It's best to wait until a staff member adds the titles or until the official Bulbagarden twitter account posts the titles. Unless of course you have a good source that confirms the titles, you can always let a staff member know. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:37, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

Anime appearances

Who told you to go adding a new section to the anime appearances and give some Pokémon their own section? What's the difference in an "other" appearance that isn't "major" or "minor" in nature? -- MAGNEDETH 16:09, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

You mean with Magnemite and Magneton?Rahl (talk) 17:11, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
No, all of them. I just happened to notice those two. -- MAGNEDETH 15:40, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Some of them just happened to have a lot that said major when they weren't all that important. I figured organizing it a little bit would be helpful.Rahl (talk) 17:26, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
That's fine, but if it isn't major, then it's minor. There's really no reason for a middle ground. Also, when having a discussion, indent your comments using a colon. -- MAGNEDETH 03:52, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
When you're told to stop doing something by a staff member, especially a Vice-Webmaster, you really should not ignore what you're being told. So, once again, if an appearance isn't major, then it's minor. There is no need for an "other" section, so stop adding them to species articles. Thank you. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 00:29, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Serena's Pancham

You probably didn't notice, but someone already has a page for Serena's Pancham in the works. In the future, you can use this function to see if someone already has the page in the works. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:11, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Alright thank you. I will get rid of mine in that case.Rahl (talk) 01:53, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

XY044 Gym Battle

Don't forget Pikachu.--JasonL 15:33, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

I usually leave Pikachu alone. I don't care for all the screen time he gets and writing about Pikachu's "glorious" gym battles just aggravates me and causes me to oppinionate what I write. If you would like to add Pikachu's gym battle to his page you can find the video here-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGaf2eOqzGtlSeupxNROxug/videos. Rahl 17:47, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Just a heads up

On your user pages "User:Rahl/Gym Leader Pokemon Template", "User:Rahl/Gym Battles", and "User:Rahl/League Battles", please use [-[File:694MS.png|link=Clemont (anime)#Heliolisk]-] (without the dash) instead of {-{MSP|694|Clemont (anime)#Heliolisk}-} to make images that act as links to other pages. The later causes the links to go to pages such as "Ash's Pikachu (Pokémon)". Thanks. Adamws (talk) 22:53, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Edit Warring

Please do not edit war. If you disagree with an edit, discuss it with the user that reverted you. Do not revert them. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:15, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

Clemont's Magneton

If you feel it deserves an article, create it in your userspace, not the mainspace. Just because it meets notability requirements (which I'm going to have to check to see if it is), does not mean you can just create it in the mainspace. Once it's been approved of by the admins, then it will be moved.--ForceFire 13:54, 5 March 2015 (UTC)

Cilan's Stunfisk

I'm only going to say this once, the moves are only marked as recent if it used them in its most recent appearance. It only used Thunderbolt and Mud Bomb in its most recent appearance, so they should be the only ones marked as recent.--ForceFire 13:21, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

While that is true, it has not used Camouflage since its debut. That makes the rest of them most recent.Rahl 13:37, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

You didn't even read what I just said. The moves are only marked as recent if it used them in its most recent appearance. It only used Thunderbolt and Mud Bomb in its most recent appearance.--ForceFire 13:47, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

That is true but it is pretty obvious that it still has Scald and Sludge Bomb. Rahl 14:10, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

A Pokémon does not forget a move like it does in the games. The anime=/=games. It may still have Camouflage, just as it may have Sludge Bomb or Scald, even if it hasn't used Camouflage since its debut.--ForceFire 14:25, 16 March 2015 (UTC)

Ash's Pikachu

FYI, someone already started a discussion that you are still asking people to start without having even participated in the discussion. I've requested protection of the page to force discussion. CycloneGU (talk) 19:24, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

I don't have an opinion on whether or not the nature should be in the infobox. However, constantly reverting to your preferred state and insisting that other people start a discussion without even attempting to do so yourself is unacceptable especially when you are the one that is making a change, and especially when you have been warned multiple times about edit warring. The page is now protected now, so I won't block you, but in the future, if someone reverts one of your changes to a page you are just as responsible (if not more so) for starting a discussion. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 19:58, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for that information and I have joined that discussion now. Rahl 20:12, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi!

Hi! I see that you're reordering the Pokémon lists on episode pages. Please take this into consideration. Dawn's Piplup should precede Jessie's Wobbuffet and James's Mime Jr.! Thank you! --Mikuri 13:50, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

I was not aware of that. Thank you for correcting me.Rahl 13:53, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Section header levels

On Clair's Dragonair and other similar pages, sections such as "Personality and characteristics" and "Moves used" belong under the section it refers to, being "In the anime", unless the personality and characteristics and moves used apply in all other canons on the page. --Abcboy (talk) 00:50, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Ash's Fletchinder

I was wondering why you deleted my part in the trivia about Ash's Fletchinder being his first Pokemon to purposefully use its ability outside of battle. Did another of his Pokemon do it before him? Srushj11 (talk) 03:56, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Yes Buizel used it outside of battle at some point in Sinnoh. I believe I mentioned Buizel in the comment when I removed it. Rahl 12:22, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

No, Buizel use in battles the first one was in Third gym battle and second time was in battle against Mr. Mine.--SilverioBOMB (talk) 07:17, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

Question

I don't understand why you removed the information about Pokémon living in the Gym from the Gym pages. I saw your edit summary, but why shouldn't the information be there? I can't see why it should be restricted to Pokémon used in Gym battles. Personally, I think it makes more sense to change the heading to simply "Pokémon" and then make the clarification about ones that were used in Gym battles and the others that have only been seen residing in the Gym. AGGRON989 16:43, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

I was not the one who ended up deciding that. It was being changed when I started adding that to pages a while ago. Rahl 16:51, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

I see, sorry about that. I was looking to see if that was the case, but I couldn't tell. Thanks, though! AGGRON989 17:00, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Moves improvised

Hi there! Thank you for all your help with the "Moves improvised" section. I was planning on getting screenshots for all of the combinations but I can be very lazy sometimes. It would take a while for me to get the images I needed and the ones you uploaded are just great. Thank you! ;)

On a related note, I removed the name field because there are only a few combinations that ended up getting names in the anime, such as Dragon Formation (Drew's Flygon's Dragon Breath + Drew's Absol's Razor Cut), which Lilian even called "Dragon Razor Wind" because she felt like giving a name for a combination that already had one. :'D But anyway, I don't think we should have a field for things like "Bubble-Swift combination", it's not official, it's just too obvious, and the moves involved are there for this exact purpose. Thanks again, your help is really appreciated! --Mikuri 01:13, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

I'm glad I could be of help and will continue working on it. Thank you for the appreciation.Rahl 01:53, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 12:44, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

I know. It is just I edit one part that I'm focused on and then notice a completely different section also needs fixed.--Rahl 12:45, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Talonflame's moves

Why do we need pictures of Ash's Talonflame using Peck, Razor Wind, and Steel Wing when it was still a Fletchling in its page when the latest it has been seen using those moves were when it was a Fletchinder? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 18:42, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Because it is a page for everything about Ash's Talonflame. By your logic we should get rid of all its information as a Fletchling because it evolved. Every other page still shows moves from their older forms and this one should too.Rahl (talk) 18:47, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Seviper336

Hello, just here to tell you that the message you left on Seviper336's page was probably a bit rude. Whilst their edits may have been non-productive, try not to be too upfront with others, especially new users. Thanks.--ForceFire 03:03, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I just got a bit frustrated. I'll be more patient from now on.Rahl (talk) 03:17, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

Blocked

Hello, over the past few days, you have been involved in several edit wars that have been largely disruptive to the editing process. As an experienced user, you should know that edit warring is against Bulbapedia's Code of conduct and is unacceptable. Please use the talk pages to settle disputes and once a consensus is made, make edits then, not while the discussion is actively taking place. If a user continues to revert your edits, please report them to a staff member and let us handle the situation, continuing to engage only propels the conflict. Due to the severity, you have been blocked for a week. Please keep our policies in mind once you return. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 04:24, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
