I've marked your minor edits from June 5 as bot edits so that they won't show up on recent changes. - 振霖T 06:36, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

We can add the article on Wikipedia links to the infoboxes directly, but that would begin to look like clutter... Could also append it to the bottom of articles automatically. - 振霖T 20:07, 29 August 2005 (CDT)

Yeah, I guess we could use BulbaBot to add Wikipedia links to all the articles. I was actually considering putting the links in the infoboxes myself, but in addition to the clutter problem you mentioned, there's also the problem with the names of certain articles. For example, the articles for Mew and Lucario are respectively entitled Mew (Pokémon) and Rukario (they still seem unwilling to accept the fact that Lucario is its official name, despite the evidence I posted there). Woopert 11:20, 30 August 2005 (CDT)
Indeed - that's the problem with Wikipedia links. I can add links automatically, and then we'd have to check all of them... so perhaps we should do them manually anyway. As for Rukario, I blame Serebii influence. Especially where Usohachii is concerned. - 振霖T 13:45, 30 August 2005 (CDT)

Reverting link spam, vandalism and similar things

If you notice that someone vandalised a page, put link spam or other garbage on it, or anything similar, you should probably check all of his recent "contributions" to check if any of them are also of similar type, and revert them. User142 01:35, 8 December 2005 (CST)

Any idea how to pull an IP to IP ban? evkl 21:11, 11 December 2005 (CST)

'Fraid not, but I'd love to know how... Woopert 21:13, 11 December 2005 (CST)
The IP address a blocked user is using is automatically added to the blocklist (all those Autoblocked because ... in Special:Ipblocklist) when they try to edit, delete, or move pages while still logged on to a blocked account. If you need to retrieve the IP address, you will need to extract it from the database - it's in the recentchanges table. - 振霖T 07:58, 12 December 2005 (CST)

Descriptive reasons for deleting pages

I think you should describe why you're deleting the page, instead of leaving the default "Content was ...". It makes a lot more sense to someone else if the reason is Link spam than content was: '<div style="overflow: auto; height: 1px;">[http://b2.boards2go.com/boards/board.cgi?user=phentermine Buy Phentermine][http://b2.boards2go.com/b...' (and the only contributor was 'Pizdorvan')) . User142 23:59, 11 December 2005 (CST)

Vandal?

Um... some guy named Bretto is making articles that aren't up to scratch. I don't think he's a vandal or anything, just a newb :p Manga-in-a-bottle

Screenshot links

Adding links to the Filb screenshots seems fine until we get the screenshots up on Bulbagarden Archives. Then the latter should take priority. Regardless, interesting idea, and I'm surprised no one thought of it before. We do link to other sites' Pokédexes, after all. --Argy 20:56, 27 January 2006 (CST)

Eh, don't use the external links for this - Filb might decide to change the structure of his site at any time. I've set up a new link prefix for it - filb-eppics:ag161 for example. - 振霖T 21:38, 27 January 2006 (CST)
Of course, I don't think it'd be a bad idea to link to both Archives and Filb, with the former taking priority as Argy said; this way people would have two sites to choose from. Plus, Filb has screenshots for more than 40 episodes that we currently don't. Perhaps later I'll update the Pedia articles for those episodes using ZhenLin's new template.Woopert 06:56, 28 January 2006 (CST)

User: chintss

I noticed you blocked chintss for spamming. Just a heads up, he tried to cover his tracks with the account Brian davion. Take a look at both accounts' contributions sections. --Swifty

Yes, I noticed that, strangely, Brian davion reverted all of chintss's edits, but I didn't think of the possibility of him being a sockpuppet until now. I guess he was trying to become a sysop, possibly to go around deleting random pages or something. Woopert 08:12, 9 March 2006 (CST)

Woo boy vandals.

Is it possible for either of us to temporarily turn off account creation, or do you have to be a higher level of sysop to do that? Ketsuban 18:32, 9 March 2006 (CST)

I don't think a regular sysop like us can do that; we'll have to get someone like ZhenLin to do it. Woopert 18:36, 9 March 2006 (CST)
And I wonder which of you two voted against stricter/tighter account creation controls, hmm, let me think... For future reference, the control for account creation is in the configuration file for Bulbapedia. Anyone with FTP access could change it. - 振霖T 01:27, 10 March 2006 (CST)

There has never been to my knowledge an episode not animated by Team Ota. In fact, if it were not, I would have doubts about whether or not it even was an episode. It is a very, very safe bet to add that information in. - 振霖T 06:23, 7 April 2006 (CDT)

Do you need help?

Do you need help with any article, I would be happy to help you with an article. I am best at editing parts related to the Video Games or Anime, if you want me to edit any article and help you, I would be very happy to do it for you. Helping others is a good idea, as it can get changes made quicker. If you want me to help, leave a message in my talk page. Thanks I Love Minun (talk) 19:25, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Sockpuppets?

Is it just me or have a lot of accounts that haven't been used been created today and yesterday? I suspect that a lot of them are sockpuppets. Could you look into it? Carnivine
