Now, as we know there is the "hero" in the anime known as Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town, and for every anime there is a villain or two, but in this case there are many when it comes from the villains in the games from generation I to IV. Starting from gen I, there are the classic ones that still star in the TV Show, Team Rocket. If you are a young one you most likely know those two as Jessie and James, with their Meowth of course! Also if you were a Pokémon player right from the start, you would know that Pokémon originated from "Capsule Monsters".
