Guzma/Dusk Stone
Just wanted to give you an FYI and spell out what doesn't fit in the edit summary.
I tried beating Guzma in a game where I've pretty much beaten the Elite Four, done the Ultra Beast missions, and not a lot else significant. When I went to his house after that, he wasn't there, only his parents.
I thought he was in the Title Defense, but I haven't really done that at all, so when I checked I realized he wasn't part of that. So, in short... I'm not sure what else you might possibly need to do to find him there.

- Sorry. I was never good at editing and stuff.
Anyway, that's what happened to me when like I was playing it while looking for Zygarde cells around. and I only defeated the E4 once and also just recently finished the UB02 mission. I'm also, playing the Sun version. and if it got to do with my team maybe? I was using a team full of Alolan Meowth (cause Pickup) and just went there and he was standing there with his back turned. I talked to him and he adked to meet me at Hau'oli City Beachfront in a his Guzma way even after being mad that the team got disbanded and fought against his bug team which had lvl 60+ bug pokemon. after defeating him Kahuna Hala comes and like say stuff about Guzma needing to redeem himself and such and that he will try to make a good trainer out of him or something and after Hala leaves. Guzma gives me the Dusk Stone.
Also, his mom gave me the Swagger TM in his room.
oh and the back of his clothes... the team skull logo is crossed out with like red tape or something.

- Ohh. I misread what you wrote. Well, that's a little weird then. The Hau'oli City page says Guzma gives you a Dawn Stone. I beat him in Sun myself (like you) a while ago and I'm pretty sure that's what I got or I would have corrected it.
- It might make sense if it depends on the time of day, though. You said you just beat him, so does that maybe mean it was night in your game? I'm not sure what time I beat Guzma before. But I didn't save in the game I tested with after seeing your edit, so I can see if that makes a difference in the same game myself after the time changes to night. - yea. 's cool. I wish if I could've like took a video or something for reference before I saved. But, no. it was actually, day in my game.
- it was about 7 a.m. in my game time... maybe it's between some time and the other like in ORAS where you can only meet legendaries at a specific time.
