Pokémon-ex images

Confusion

Discussions on Main Pages

This is the only edit i'm making on a User talk: namespace. Does the rules apply for talk pages on main articles because i don't want to get in more trouble. TCG Images

After much splurging on eBay, I've got way more scans, including these. For the pages without images I've added them, and for cards marked unsatisfactory I've updated them, but what about the others? There's a few, uh... "different quality" images that are not inadequate as such, but (I think) not as good as my scans. The issue is that they say stuff like they were "donated by the very lovely people at _______" and I don't want to insultingly change all these images all over the place, and yet... >_< I'm not very good at this wiki stuff. Anyway, you'd seem to know, so what do you think? Should I update those cards? (Or maybe you'd like to do it, with Modlike discretion?) --Alamedyang (talk) 02:21, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

I'll answer. If the scans are marked in any way, do not use them. If they can be traced in any way back to the source by anyone with reasonable computer skills, do not use them. If they're generic, unmarked scans, by all means go ahead and upload them! --ニョロトノ666 03:13, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Platinum cards

Yo, I'm out for most of the day but I've uploaded all the drafts I made that PokéBeach posted scans for. I knew they'd come in handy. I've got a fair few more, I'd say between 20 and 30, for the next lot of cards. However, as I'm off in a few, I can't do the articles that I don't have drafts for. I'm going to try to get as many images for them uploaded into the archives, however, and they'll be in Category:Platinum at the Archives. As for sources, all remaining cards are from Galactic's Conquest except the following:

• Entry Pack DPt: #37 Palkia, #38 Shaymin, #49 Grotle, #56 Monferno, #59 Prinplup, #60 Probopass, #68 Carnivine, #70 Chimchar, #71 Combee, #79 Lapras, 84 Nosepass, #85 Piplup, #98 Tauros, #100 Torkoal. I'm pretty sure that's all of them.
• Giratina vs Dialga Deck Kit: #111 Miasma Valley.

TCG Link

Think about it. How many other attacks burn too? Lots. And you know what. Will-O-Wisp has appeared in the TCG as a different name (as itself). Furthermore, attacks have the potential to have different effects in the TCG. Confusion causes Paralysis, but not confusion. Explain that one? If you want to add it again, do so. Move

Hi, Maverick. Could you delete Potpourri Island and move Popuri Island into "Potpourri Island" (yes, it's the same place).

We have the Mystery Dungeon games at the "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon #" because of the first two. We can't move them without having crazy titles, and it isn't consistant. We shouldn't have those pages titled so because those aren't real titles (not to mention that MD Sky is just a third version of Time/Darkness, not a new series). I think that they should be moved to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time & Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky respectively (the anime special would get the (anime) thing added to it). Incorrect. They were necessary, as if those links were left for much longer, they would have made their way onto the Wanted Pages. As those links had no reason to appear on the Wanted Pages, they had to be removed. Can you explain to me why this template should not be used in TCG pages? On a related note, I want to tell you that I want to contribute with better things for the TCG and TFG pages. So can you give me some links, going through which, I can learn a thing or two about the do-s and don't-s about editing these pages. Template:G was ruled as a laziness template, and I would prefer that it is not used in my project. Also, the only link that would do any good would be the non-existant TCG Mos, (which I will still have to write). I know nothing about the TFG, but I do believe that a new set of Figures is in limbo for release, and those will probably need pages soon. There are some plans I have for project TCG, but most of the things are done, all we are doing now is catching up on mini-projects that are somewhat just fix wording if you find it and such. My side of the TCG is kind of complete/put off until we get other things done, so you will probably have better luck asking Politoed666 if you could help with the Deck side of the TCG. Value packs/tins pages

I was just thinking that these pages need a bit of a cleanup, do you think it would be better if the images were put into gallery boxes instead of having them floating there? Ooyama's Pikachu Issue

For some odd reason, the Retreat Cost doesn't seem to show up correctly. The cost, which should read " A bit much", instead comes up blank. Why? those aren't currently needed articles, those are summaries. That main page feature is for redlinks from the wanted pages. Summaries would come in through the stubs, which will only change if someone improves CoroCoro. Expansion checklists

Now that the cards have all been done, I was thinking of shifting my attention back to the expansions. TTE made a modification to the Base Set checklists, so I was wondering if the others should follow suit. I've been tinkering around with colours of the templates for the next few sets, based on either the primary colours in the logo or booster design. Let me know what you think. I'm not sure if they should stay centred or not though, especially with later sets that have images of the boosters along the right. Maybe the booster images for each set could be pooled in a gallery under their own heading, I don't know. ~~nuva-kal 10:24, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

The main reason why I haven't done anything with it, is because I don't like TTE's color scheme, and both of those screw with my monobook, and I'm not sure If I want that on set pages yet. Also, the reason why we have the images to the right is because the two sets won't fit side by side. A while back, I traced over the expansion symbols from the first dozen TCG sets in Illustrator, and was thinking of uploading them as SVGs on bulbapedia, but soon learned that SVG preview images don't work. Question marks

I think I found another way around our problem... While making a list of articles with question marks in their title, I realized that if going through a redirect, the page works without a problem. For example, if I link to Is It Summer?, the wiki will try to load the page Is It Summer, which is a redirect to Is It Summer? - and that works. So, in theory, if every page that hase a question mark will have a redirect without a question mark - it'll work just fine. Anime Physics

Just when the debate between Hunter and PsychicRider has been resolved, another one begins? Or maybe I could prevent it, I still haven't resolved the Tail Whip debate yet... anyway, I atfirst put it on the Team Rocket article, but Psy removed it and said that it was anime physics. I put it there, Hunter removed it and said that it was redundant. After the three of us discussed this for about a month, Psy told me to go to an admin. So I asked TTEchidna, the general guy in charge of this site, and he said it was anime physics! If the summary of my changes seemed a bit off, I apologize, I forgot that other people besides Hunter and Psy were watching, that was intended specifically for them. So can I put it back on? Yes I get it now. He specifically told me no. I told you and him that since you're admins, what you say goes, and I admit defeat. OK, so let's see if we're on the same page here:

• Me and PsychicRider and Hunter get into a discussion about whether or not Team Rocket's resistance to death should go under the Team Rocket article, the anime physics article, or just not go anywhere at all. At first Psy thinks it's anime physics, while Hunter thinks it doesn't go anywhere, and I don't know where to put it, and Psy sides with Hunter, and I ask an admin, and two admins say that it doesn't go anywhere, so that important bit of trivia will be left out for all eternity.
• You got really frustrated with me for editing the userpage too many times. However, I was just editing different sections of the userpage, so the editing page wouldn't be so big. But isn't 4 days a little harsh? Other people will think I'm not keeping up with the current events. In the extremly slim chance that I do get to updating the immortality trivia, I'll say that they said it doesn't go anywhere, and that's the end of the debate. I know how I misunderstood what TTE was saying.
• Admins on this wiki can antagonize other users, unlike on the Dragonball wiki, but you don't hate me (yet, most of the users do in the end).
• And on the Tail Whip debate... I mean, a wild Squirtle in the Squirtle Squad used Water Gun, didn't it? And Sudowoodo used Mimic, they said so. But anyway, whether or not a wild Pokemon can use named techniques is irrelevant, we have all come to a consensus that a Pokemon hitting an opponent with its tail is not Tail Whip or Slam, just hitting an opponent with its tail.

So now that all our misunderstandings are cleared up, can we get along? Please? I wouldn't want to be enemies with the second admin I've ever known on this Pokemon encyclopedia, and I try not to eff things up or cause trouble, didn't you ever see the episode synopsis I added to the articles that needed them? Edit waring

The user HoennMaster kept removing some trivia from the DP105 article about 3 times saying that facial and vocal expressions of distress do not mean anything involving the triva.

When the trivia was added back with better wording to relieve confussion, the user Sol removed it trying to justify his actions with Stats which are a in game mechanism and have hardly any use in the anime aside from levels being mentioned here and there.

This whole thing keeps going in circles and its going end up with an admin getting mad, banning and locking the thread if this half-brained removal of some trivia keeps up. Yami 18:44, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
