::::Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention Japng Editor. Drag the converted files to the program, try to set the fps as close as possible to the original games (for example, I used between 35~40 fps for the BW moves I animated), let the preview show you if the speed and frames are okay, select "skip first frame" and copy a frame from the middle of the batch (one that shows the Pokémon using the move, for those browsers that do not support APNG), and there you go. I'd recommend grabbing one of my animations if you're unsure how or what to do. After you use Japng Editor, use APNG Optimizer to reduce the filesize of the file. :::::::Hmm? Sounds fishy. Could your browser be displaying my initial APNG upload for the move, instead of my most recent? My initial did have the Pokémon staring at each other on the field like you pointed out, but the most recent one does not as far as I have checked (with the correct frame being selected for non-APNG browsers. It's Kyogre with 243HP versus Shellos in daytime, rather than Kyogre with 240HP versus Tentacool during the evening.

Not  really needed
That wasn't needed. The first edit was a accident due to me pressing the enter button while typing the edit description comment.
The second edit was what I intended to put in the first one until the enter button mishap.
The third was done due to me not having enough room in the edit description comment.
I always use the preview button. I know you're just doing your job as an editor or *insert official title here,* but not every person who makes multiple edits to a single page needs to be told of the preview button. It was kind of insulting and condescending to receive the message on my talk page.
By the way, why did you re-add the Slowking part of the Shellder info?
Slowking does not devolve if the Shellder falls off. It only forgets what it had learned while doing its scientific investigations of the universe. It would be like Reed Richard from the Fantastic Four learning how to time travel while wearing a neuron amplifying device, but upon removing the device he forgets all he had figured out while it was one. Get it?
This is Slowking's Dex entries for the Gen III games
Ruby and Sapphire: Slowking undertakes research every day in an effort to solve the mysteries of the world. However, this Pokémon apparently forgets everything it has learned if the Shellder on its head comes off.
Emerald: It undertakes research every day to solve the mysteries of the world. However, it apparently forgets everything if the Shellder on its head comes off.
There is nothing about devolution, only Amnesia Yamitora1 04:43, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
scratch the slowking thing, my eyes played tricks on me and I saw your name instead of the person who did it. Yamitora1 04:45, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
:Kind of insulting and/or condescending or not, it's still a rule to be enforced. It's not like I threatened to block you, it was just a friendly advice for you to try to make your edits in one sit instead of doing them in more. :: Not everything can be done in one edit, we're just human. Besides I didn't do that many edits. one was a misfire which i explained in the undo summary, and the other two couldn't be helped to be done separately.
:: Sometimes you can't do multiple edits in one go, especially depending on which edit button you press. While I had pressed the edit page button to re-add the shellder info, when it came to the Unown section I pressed the edit button for that particular section. Plus the Unown thing was an impulsive last minute decision that arose after I had pressed the save page button after re-adding the Shellder stuff.
:: Besides What if someone is fixing vandalism and misses something small the first time? Do they deserve to get the preview button warning for not fixing all the vandalism in one go? Or what if they fix Vandalism, then add something that improves the article?
:: I'm not mad at you for posting it, and I'm not trying to raise a fuss; I'm just trying to point out that you don't have to go textbook every single time. Yamitora1 06:54, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
::: I'm sorry that I overreacted. I've been a little taxed lately, sleep problems, multiple things on my plate excuse excuse ect ect.
::: The point is I over reacted and I'm sorry. I hope their is no hard feelings and hopefully we can work together to improve some articles. Yamitora1 10:34, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
::::Don't worry, there aren't any hard feelings. You did overreact, indeed, but at least you understood my point, right? I know you're a human and make mistakes, so am I, everyone makes mistakes. That's why we normally wait until people make at least four edits to the same article, it's to encourage them to try and do it in the least amount of edits possible. Signature

Hi there. What I meant was to put your username into your signature so that people can tell who you are when they read your comments. Sorry for any confusion. —darklordtrom 10:40, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Templates

Please remember in future that you must get permission from an admin before editing templates, especially high-use ones such as User Champion. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 20:48, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Disambigs

I wouldn't. You're just going to make too many redlinks, which aren't acceptable. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 21:42, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Card Update.

Types are always capitalized. Grass not grass. No exceptions. MaverickNate 04:50, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Maybe I only checked on one that you had lowercase. If this is the case, no worries. Keep up the good work. MaverickNate 04:58, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Carddex is a dangerous territory. It isn't something you can just copy past from another page. MaverickNate 05:37, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
It's just that each card has a different dex entry, and Japanese entry, and even the older cards have different heights and weights. It is something that needs done separately for each card, and isn't really part of this update. MaverickNate 05:42, 23 January 2011 (UTC)

Hey there.

Keep up the good work updating those templates. I know a congratulatory word is rare around here, so I just wanted to say that grunt work like that is really appreciated. So yeah. Thanks. --P o L i 17:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

I got it from tv.msn.com, http://tv.msn.com/tv/series.aspx?series=62d49308-0244-4703-a474-64fe2b1a7a8b.

Sorry for the confusion.

It has been deleted. Also, please remember to use ~~~~ after posting your message in a talk page. Masatoshitalk 23:07, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

No, still there, http://tv.msn.com/tv/episodeguide.aspx?series=62d49308-0244-4703-a474-64fe2b1a7a8b&ipp=40, http://tv.msn.com/tv/episode.aspx?episode=4916ac04-6ce6-4f1a-aa41-4635d69bb10b.

Although it wasn't there for a bit, it's up there currently.

¡felicidades

GoldenPorygon.png Congratulations! For your outstanding service to the Bulbagarden Archives you have been awarded the Golden Porygon Award for January, 2011 by the Archives Advisory Council!

Please place this template onto your userpage by putting GoldPorygon among your userboxes.

Bulbapedia bulb.png

I asked Google Translator, so I hope that sounds okay. I'd go on and thank you for the hours and hours of manual uploading you are putting into the Archives at the moment, but reading it would take up your valuable time. So I'll just leave this sparkly Porygon on your doorstep and you can play with it when you're finished. —darklordtrom 09:33, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

I must say it was totally unexpected, but I appreciate the award. Thanks, trom, and the rest of the Archives Advisory Council! Also, it's ¡felicidades! :P Masatoshitalk 18:20, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Animating

Photoshop? I don't think if I can acquiry it... It's not free (at least I don't know if it's free or not)... Marked +-+-+ 20:49, 22 February 2011 (UTC) PS.WTF, AnimGet makes VBA run on 7%. That's VERY low speed D: It takes me few seconds just to select Move button >.< Marked +-+-+ 21:01, 22 February 2011 (UTC) Ow... About 94 screenshots when Blaze Kick recorded. O-O Marked +-+-+ 21:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC) PS.It looks that in Gen III, HP bar doesn't dissappears like in Gen IV. All shots contained HP bar, I deleted shots with moves menu and after Oddish "dissappeared" (moment where it starts to reduce it's HP =P).

I certainly dunno where... as far as I know, AnimGet hasn't taken a toll on speed for me, the problem might be that you have Frame Skip set to 0, which is what I'd like you to do, I can't even play Platinum, but I do it for the sake of Bulbapedia. :P
94 screenshots are just as fine, don't expect any move to take less than 70 frames, I even had 300 on one.
Well, if you use draining moves, such as Absorb or Giga Drain, you'd need to have your Pokémon hurt a bit so we can see the magic of those moves, until they replenish their HP. So, if III doesn't hide the HP bar, the first frame before the move begins is the first frame to stay, the frames before should be deleted. And the first frame after the move ends (with effects as well) should be the last, delete all frames after it. Masatoshitalk 21:23, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
[censor], megaupload says something that my IP address is downloading about 641MB file...EPIC FAIL for IP. >.< Really Adobe is required? Or... maybe trial version is capable of doing things? (rather no =P) Marked +-+-+ 15:07, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS."don't expect any move to take less than 70 frames," - Orly? On Ember, I got 71 WITH counting moves menu screenshots and after effects ended ("blinking", effectiveness sounds, etc.). Without them, I got... 66 screenshots.... Marked +-+-+ 15:15, 23 February 2011 (UTC) Dammit, screenshots are 1152x788... Marked +-+-+ 20:21, 23 February 2011 (UTC) I hate Photoshop. It wants to save that all screenshots into .gif, not .png >.< Marked +-+-+ 20:33, 23 February 2011 (UTC) WHAT? It doesn't save in .gif. It saves in a stupid format, .psd. EVEN MORE EPIC FAIL... Nevermind, restarted and it's .png now. Marked +-+-+ 20:37, 23 February 2011 (UTC) I accidentally did batch script so that Ember shots are saved under Absorbxxx.png (where xxx is that 3 digit something) lol. I will just upload it as a new version, so name of file here won't change =P Okey done... Just last frame... awww still has animation (there is flame)... Need to do stuff again, for that frame =D Marked +-+-+ 20:48, 23 February 2011 (UTC) Finally... about 1 hour, finally created animation. Of Blaze Kick (Ember's one is "corrupted" it looks that few frames are missing). Saving, now uploading. Deleted one frame after animation ended, the one left has 1000ms (it's last) delay, and the frame on top (0th, lol) has 500ms. Nothing seems missing. Now just upload. And then go to bed =P Marked +-+-+ 21:01, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Uh what? 2,14 MB file size... damn. And resolution, well Photoshop "distorted" it, it's 240x164, while static would be 240x160... Small difference, but stil difference =P

Can't upload. I press upload, but nothing happens, no session loss data stuff, no log-out, no warning. NOTHING. Just it looks like browser is loading page, but page doesn't changes. And how it's about 2,12MB, while one of yours has about 1/3 of that? Marked +-+-+ 21:13, 23 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Okey, I have to go =P

Uploaded Metal Claw animated... I still see old picture below "file, file history" and other stuff, just in other resolution. It didn't synchronized for me =P Also, it's almost 2MB file >.< Wtf, how it's THAT big? Marked +-+-+ 08:47, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Well, some of the screenshots might be heavier than some others due to reasons a non-ignorant (not me) would understand, but so far, so good, happens to me as well with this file. Now, you need to edit those summaries, since that file is now animated, you should state so with anipng, which will add the file to the following categories: Animated images, Special images and Animated png files. And can you please edit the Generation III thing? It should link to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, Emerald and FireRed and LeafGreen to make it look less ambiguous. That would be it for now. Now, regarding talk pages; would you mind indenting your replies? Instead of just writing after your message, hit Enter and go to a new paragraph, since I used one :, you should use two, I'll use three in my reply, you'll use four, until we need to reset the indentation. This way is a bit less confusing for other people, thanks. :P Masatoshitalk 14:26, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Okey, file seems right but... In article, it doesn't animate. It's just that first frame that's is skipped in animation. I _have_ Firefox. Marked +-+-+ 13:32, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry, it's normal. When they're thumbnailed, the animation won't play. Masatoshitalk 14:03, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Then how to the hell a Metal Claw of generation II IS animated in thumbnail? Marked +-+-+ 15:19, 25 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Fly in Generation III also animates in thumbnail.
Because Metal Claw II isn't thumbnailed, it's at full size. And Fly in Generation III is a .gif, that explains the (rather broken) animation. Masatoshitalk 15:40, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Okey, Fly I uploaded. Little slower (55ms instead of 33ms), because it looked like something was missing (part of animation in 2nd stage looked like it was too fast) but checked game, and it seems right... Marked +-+-+ 10:23, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, the file looks correct, but mind if I ask you to have a slightly longer pause in the middle? And one more thing, I'm trying to make the animations more... like you're actually playing the game, would you mind using it against a higher leveled Pokémon? The gap between your Pokémon and the Wild Pokémon is a bit too wide. Masatoshitalk 11:08, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Uh, but it's lvl 70 about, and highest levelled wild in Yellow is 60 (Ditto 1% encounter rate in Cave), and trainer is 65lvl Gary' starter. And Gary has also in range of 50s =P I can't upload Surf. 111 (including that skipped) frames (2,77MB). OUCH. Marked +-+-+ 11:16, 26 February 2011 (UTC) PS.I made Surf animation before I read your answer =P
resetting indentation - Well, then try to get the highest leveled Pokémon you can, a twenty-level gap sounds good, but a seventy-level gap is kinda too much :P. Also, if you're making P.S., I'd suggest you to do it like if you were posting a new reply, followed by the signing. 2,77MB? You probably have the saving of the .pngs in the highest quality, I'm not really sure, that'd be the most coherent answer. Masatoshitalk 11:35, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

How do you work so fast?!?

Whenever I check the recent changes, someone's making 20 edits in 2 minutes! How do you find all that stuff to edit?!? (I can't seem to find much...) - unsigned comment from Pokabu82 (talkcontribs)

Well... I was dwelling around, until I found something on Movegen that needed to be edited, as we can't use .gifs, we should be using .pngs, so I edited that on the template, then I used this, found in the toolbox, that gave me stuff to edit. Masatoshitalk 22:49, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Posting in dead threads?

I am looking and can't find any rules for posting in dead threads including how long it is before a thread is considered dead, if the last post was a month ago and I have a question to add to it is it dead and should I just start a new thread under it? felinoel 07:36, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

...And why are you bringing this up to me? If this is about the forums, you should go here. But as far as I know, unless you have a good reason to reply to that thread, you should create a new one. Masatoshitalk 07:44, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Because you seem knowledgeable in this site's rules? No this isn't a Bulbagarden thread it is a Bulbapedia thread... I guess those aren't called threads then... I always get the terminology mixed up with threads, posts, categories, subcategories, and whatnot... whatever this right here is called is what I mean by thread. felinoel 07:54, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Talk page, then. Alright. You got me confused in there. Talk page policy will help you on that, specifically, this. It says the following: Please check the dates of a discussion before you reply to it. Unless there is good reason for revitalizing an old conversation, comments on sections older than six months old will be removed. This is because by this point the problems cited will have been cleared up. Masatoshitalk 07:57, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Well someone asked a question of which I have the same issue and the response to fix it doesn't seem to work for me, so the problem cited is cleared up for that person, just not for me... but it is only a month old so I can post there! Also, I didn't quite mean Talk Page, I meant a specific ummm category? in a talk page... so I guess I meant category? felinoel 08:02, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Every article, category, file and whatnot has a talk page, so I'm sure you're talking about that. Probably you're talking about a section (You know, the headings, like Posting in dead threads?). And sure, you can go ask, let's hope you can find a proper solution this time. Masatoshitalk 08:13, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
No no I was talking about what is in talk pages, but based on your statement what I meant was heading! Though that doesn't sound right... oh well I posted felinoel 08:20, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Template

HI Masatoshi, i was wondering if i could use your main template (your background border) for my user page, is this okay? (i will change it a little so it doesn't look carbon-copy and credit you for the original design) Azure/ChromeVoid42 17:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Sure, go for it. Masatoshitalk 02:16, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Ok

If you think a beluga looks like a lugia, you have vision issues. There is no reference to this anyway in the manga or anime or TCG. Also there is NO reference to Lugia and the moon despite popular belief because Ho-oh IS referenced with the sun. If there is, list it. Thanks.

Just because it has plates it must be a stegosaurus? That is just stupid.

Fix grammar but dont add 101 reasons a name might exist. A wiki is meant to help, not confuse and create argument. --Since97andOn 23:23, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I have vision issues, but I abide to what might be the most logical relation to what Lugia resembles the most to, whether physiologically or in behavior. Not many of the Pokémon have their origins referenced anywhere in the anime, manga nor TCG, so I don't think it's a valid point, but if you can find a reference to it, then I'll agree with you. I do agree that Lugia wouldn't be really the moon nor a Beluga whale (on which I kind of agree with you); but I'll go with the introduction of the Silver screen, on where he's seen flying in the night with the moon behind, and me being a native Spanish speaker, on which the Lugia name would make sense with the Lu- part. It's not just because it has plates, it's also the shape he has, also shared by another dinosaur, the Plesiosaur. Lugia doesn't look like a Wyver at all, but that's my opinion anyways. Also, please, avoid the use of subjective words such as "Interestingly", since we try to be as neutral as possible. And I do agree that a wiki is meant to help, and not to confuse and create arguments, so I'm sorry if I made you angry, but I hope you understand my reasoning now. Masatoshitalk 23:51, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Wow, so because english people "translate" his name way back before there was no moon in the screen, you think that makes sense for the Luna connection?(No it doesn't) You said you agree with me twice by the way about the beluga hah, Your an admin FFS have some sense of duty and remove that gibberish. If your going with best "reasoning" List one example and end it. Why allow many theories? If theories are allowed, I think people need to know how Cubones are baby kangaskan. (That last part is a joke, but hopefully you understand me. I could really care less about these things, but the point of a wiki in the end is meant to inform people. Not lead people to believe Lugia is a Beluga, stegosaurus, plesiosaur and wyvern super hybrid.)Also you dont have vision problems since you atleast see my point about the beluga.:D --Since97andOn 00:32, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Don't forget to indent please. Ok, we've talked about this and we decided to use what trom put in there, I hope this will be able to solve any further disputes. Masatoshitalk 06:40, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

Edit warring

I did not start the edit war. Truthseeker did. It's the first reversion that starts the war, not the innocent edit that the reverter disagrees with. I hate to use this example, being a Jew and all, but Hitler didn't declare war by invading Poland. England and France declared war AFTER the invasion. Please understand where I'm coming from--SandmanDP 22:32, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

It takes two to edit war, there wouldn't have been a war if England and France didn't stand up for Poland, but that's not the point. I understand you were trying to make a correction, but if it's something that you think might be disagreed with (since the BW006-present thing was there for quite some time), a talk page could have been better. Starting something like: Regarding Joy, the talk page policy says it may be used to bring up errors, or what you think could be a mistake. Masatoshitalk 22:48, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I did go to a talkpage, and you're giving me no credit for that. Truthseeker just reverted. He reverted me twice before responding to my post.--SandmanDP 22:57, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I meant the article's talk page, but the user talk page works too. The problem is that you're being passive-aggresive, you are losing it due to a revert. I gave you credit afterwards, but all credit has gone into the sink with the attitude you're showing towards Truthseeker. Keep calm, state calmly why you think this is this, and let the other guy express his opinions, try and reach a consensus, calmly. This is a wiki, not The Fight Club. Also, please indent your comments from now, thank you. Masatoshitalk 23:07, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

What attitude could I possibly be showing? I havent been aggressive AT ALL! You're accusing me of things I never did and threatening to block me for it as an intimidation tactic. Please stop--SandmanDP 23:12, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Don't get mad at me, but this message you just gave me sounds like that. I'll still ask you for proof regarding Truthseeker's lack of CoC, so I can properly judge this situation if you feel it's being biased enough. And as I said, I'm sorry to make you feel threatened, but my duty is to resolve disputes, even if they have to go down the block. Masatoshitalk 23:21, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

So I have no right to react to being explicitly threatened because I try to edit a simple encyclopedia page? How is that right?--SandmanDP 23:26, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

It's more of a warning I'm giving to you, you are welcome to edit the wiki (as I saw you do a few minutes ago with Diamond, and I loved that), but not welcome to revert repeatedly without stating the facts on why you think his edit is wrong in a talk page. According to a fellow Junior Admin, Turtwig A's edit summary in the page: No offense, but they mean the same thing, and BW006-Present is much more clearer imo. And then said: Should it be noted that no other Officer Jenny has appeared since that time? Masatoshitalk 23:44, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Stop using the same exact thing that's been refuted three tims now. It's a moot point. You have not used anything to counter my reasoning--SandmanDP 00:02, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

I didn't want to get into this discussion, but now it seems inevitable considering I've been mentioned in here already. The bigger question is here is, why does it matter yet? Technically, from all we know, she did take over all the Jennys, since as I said earlier, those are all the Jennys that have been seen since that point. Since they are all of them since that point, it technically is a takeover from all Jenny voice actresses, and thus should be considered so until proven otherwise since the BW006-Present part indicates all Jenny that have appeared during that time, which are all Unova ones. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:14, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
I'd like to point out that it still implies that she now voices Jennys of the other regions, which is speculation. My POV stems from the two different Jennys of A Secret Sphere of Influence. Two different regions, two different Jennys, two different voices. If anything, I think a good compromise would be (Unova-native, BW006-present). Anyone disagree?--SandmanDP 00:36, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Yes. Truthseeker4449 00:43, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Pretty rude to disagree without a reason. How is that way bad? Because someone ELSE who was new decided to incorporate their ideas?--SandmanDP 00:51, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
I think he and everyone else pretty much gave their reasons. You're just not accepting it. Last time a Jenny outside Unova appeared was in the Diamond and Pearl series. No other kind of Jenny appeared since so what it is saying is not incorrect. When one does reappear with an actress other than Emily Jenness we can change it promptly. We can tell for sure at this point. As of BW006, all of the Jennys so far are voiced by Emily Jenness. And like I said, if or when it changes we will promptly specify. --ケンジガール 01:37, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

The Preview Button

I do that but when I finish the correct edit, I find something else wrong with the article. I try my best not to edit several times. I've clicked that preview button way more times than how many times I have edited Sinnoh Route 213 on record. --Wildgoosespeeder 18:59, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Well...

I see I placed a welcome message in the wrong namespace. Well, sorry 'bout that—it seems I was hyped to get the edit increment from welcoming someone that I erred in placing it correctly. I'll be paying closer attention to that, okay? Thanks. ДlεχThεRσϛε 23:48, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

You know talk page edits don't count, right? I'm glad that you're trying to give a warm welcome to the new Bulbapedians, but I wouldn't count on making that my only means of contributing to the wiki. :P Masatoshitalk 23:51, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
I plan on editing whatever mainspace stuff floats around, but I find it somewhat rewarding to create an enormous table out of 17 characters, so don't expect me to leave new accounts' talk pages empty. Also, I'll bear in mind what you said about templates, as I don't think I read that in the MoS. Thanks again! ДlεχThεRσϛε 00:11, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
Sounds fair enough to me, don't curb your enthusiasm! Masatoshitalk 00:17, 1 February 2012 (UTC)

Question

And how can I archive my page ? Plus I've seen other user talk pages and they do not have the welcome template. --DJWolfy 13:39, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

There's a little tab above (user page, discussion, those) that is used to move pages, you move it to somewhere else (like User talk:DJWolfy/Archive 1), but I'd wait until I got more content in that talk page before archiving it, however you're free of moving it now if you want. Masatoshitalk 13:45, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

How about the welcome template ? I can still move it legit in the same way ? And btw,how could I make my user talk a bit decorated ? I mean I would like to make it like it would be inside a blue square. Is there a link to page decorating or something ? I mean with templates and others, like the welcome template. --DJWolfy. 13:48, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Also, indent comments with colons, please. You can move your current talk page, with all the revisions and such to your archived talk page. Well, in order for you to have a decorated talk page, you need a basic understanding of wikicode (it's not hard), you can either create them (it's always better), get permission from the original owner of the template you'd like to use, or you could study others' and see how you can make it better suited to your tastes. Masatoshitalk 13:58, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Ok,thank you,well I like your user page,but I would like it in blue style.Can I use it ? And if yes,how can I make it blue ?--DJWolfy. 14:13, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Sure, just say who made the original userpage. :P - In order to have a blue userpage, you're gonna have to do a lot of Ctrl + F and change the templates white color and black color and their lightness to blue, you're gonna have to do a lot of previewing though. Masatoshitalk 14:31, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
I'll check it out,where should I write the original userpage creator?--DJWolfy. 14:41, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
On the other hand,do you still have the entire script saved somewhere on your computer? It would be much easier.--DJWolfy. 14:42, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Wherever you want, and the script is actually my user page. Masatoshitalk 14:43, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
I know, but I meant to say without the text.Anyway, where can I get templates like "This user is a male" or "This user is intelligent" etc. ?

Thank you!--DJWolfy. 15:14, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
No problem, feel free to edit to your heart's content, but don't forget to contribute to the mainspace often. ;) Masatoshitalk 15:32, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Btw can you give me the script for this ? "© (flip it) 2011 - Masatoshi, all rights (lol wiki) reserved." so I can put you there, because I just can't find a right place to put your username. It always places itself at personal information, the one with the Eye color thing.Thank you!And what exactly is the mainspace?--DJWolfy. 15:38, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
The script is all there, in my userpage, also, this is the mainspace. Masatoshitalk 17:13, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh,that one, well I've made quite a few edits in the Trivia Section of some episodes.----DJWolfy 17:18, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Resetting indentation. Yeah, but trivia alone won't do, you need to do more manteinance, fix stubs, improve articles, fix misspellings (try this page), you know, broaden your limits, don't limit yourself to trivia (because that's not really encouraged). Masatoshitalk 17:23, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
I'll take that in consideration.Thank you. ----DJWolfy 17:39, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Hello again, and sorry for disturbing, but there is just one small template thing that is bothering me.On my userpage as you can see the box in which is writen "A Piece Of Information" is grey or white dark.Since you made the original page,do you know how it can be fixed to other colour ? I've tried countless times and I just couldn't change it.----DJWolfy 14:38, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
I assume you mean the part on where my nick is shown? It's a black color. Masatoshitalk 16:19, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

Today in History

I'm curious, does contributing to its development count toward Userspace edits? I know that articles destined for the mainspace don't count toward it, but I'm pretty sure TiH is headed for the Template namespace. Come to think of it, that's a rather sizable loophole. Any thoughts?--SandmanDP 21:12, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

No. Besides, even if it were, the one at fault would be trom if he edited that page often, and we wouldn't be allowed to edit what would be his user (sub)page. Templates or articles that go for the wiki overall are a bit looser unless they're a high-use template, which are protected from normal users to edit. And besides, trom has asked us to help him complete it, so I don't really see a loophole if we're helping in creating something to be used by the main page itself, well, unless we spammed it with non-relevant content or spam. Masatoshitalk 21:19, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

EP066

There's something wrong at the article of EP066. There's a sentence and it's not fully made. So, can you fix it? It's partailly removed. --Station7 19:36, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Where exactly? I can't see it... Masatoshitalk 21:23, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Fixed it already--SandmanDP 21:27, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Ah, just checked in the history, thank you, then. Masatoshitalk 21:31, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

'v

I am confused as to why you deleted this. It is notible because it is obtainable without cheating. And if you really wanted more info you could have just asked me, all I do is glitch work. Could you please undo it? --×Rsrdaman× 17:27, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

In any case, I could have asked SnorlaxMonster, since he's the head of the GlitchDex Project. I deleted that article because of two reasons:
 1. There was no info known about that glitch, the article itself said that ('v is a glitch Pokémon. Aside from that not much is known about it). That was it. That alone shouldn't let this article be able to exist unless it had more information about it.
 2. It had been created before but being deleted afterwards, providing almost the same reason for its deletion, it had been done very poorly.
So no, I can't and won't undo it. If you want to recreate it, please do so in your user space; create a subpage for it, and when we see the article is notable enough then we'll move it to the mainspace. Masatoshitalk 15:32, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
Alright then, I just wanted to see what it had but thats the shitty part of being a normal user... I'll do a full-quality redo of it then on the page. If you don't know me (which you probably don't), I usually only do large-scale edits, such as everything ive done in project Glitchdex. So, it most likely will be notable then. Also, SnorlaxMonster is usually pretty busy, so asking me for that stuff would be taking some off his load. Thanks --×Rsrdaman× 02:24, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
It's done now so check it out.--×Rsrdaman× 03:07, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
Alright, it looks much better now. I definitely see no problems with this one. Masatoshitalk 04:03, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, the page as it existed before really didn't say anything. Masatoshi was wrong about "it doesn't meet the requirements for notability", but I wasn't online at the time for him to ask. It was so incomplete that I would have deleted it too anyway though. --SnorlaxMonster 07:20, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

I feel terrible

You'll notice my new userpage construction is basically yours and DJWolfy. It's obviously not ready. I meant to build it first, ask, then submit, but I pressed Save page instead of show preview. I promise, besides the obvious information customizations to change dimensions, colors and shapes so it wouldn't be the exact same. I just hope you and DJWolfy can give me your blessing.--SandmanDP 17:53, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

I have no problem with that, as long as you don't make your userpage your only reason to edit Bulbapedia, you'll be alright. Masatoshitalk 15:32, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

Well then

My apologizes, I didn't know, I was just trying to help out. Plus I don't know how to check the user's activity. ----DJWolfy 13:14, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

This page will help. You can either type in the nick OR go to the user page (or user talk page), and check the toolbox found in the left of the site, linking to "User contributions". I know you were trying to help out, but let them do that in their space. :P Masatoshitalk 14:06, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

That's exactly what I'm doing,I've completed synopsis for some anime episodes, a couple of chronicles and a pikachu short, plus I'm going to finish the rest of the synopsis then maybe focus on moves' description, depending on my free time.Btw, does the minor edit need to be checked when writing in talk pages or anywhere else ?----DJWolfy 19:39, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
Not really, though I leave it checked always, since I'm always doing minor edits. Masatoshitalk 19:45, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

There's been discussions about the Bulbapedia Awards for a while, nothing is clear yet, so I can't really know about whether we'll keep on it or not. Masatoshitalk 16:30, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Well, I always thought rewards motivate people. Especially if given on a prestigious site. But that's just my opinion. ----DJWolfy 17:15, 24 February 2012 (UTC)

Stadium 2 Images

Could you tell me what the size and name conventions are, and whether I should upload seperate Stadium and Stadium 2 images?--Chalkwriter 18:05, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Could you also tell me where the animation should start and finish? Thanks.--Chalkwriter 11:21, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
You bring up a good point, I just talked to Kogoro and it seems we don't really have a MoS on Stadium/2 pictures, we'll discuss it later in the day and I'll get back to you on that. So for the time being, don't animate anything. Masatoshitalk 11:43, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Do we have a name and size convention yet, just so I can upload neccesary static images like Iron Tail and Sandstorm?--Chalkwriter 19:38, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
Okay name and size convention's set (they've been for a while, actually). [Move] Stad & [Move] Stad2(.png). The size should be the same as the DS games: 256px x 192px. Masatoshitalk 01:35, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Uploaded and added Swift and Giga Drain.
With animating, I have a problem in that I have the .avi file, but converting it to a .gif so I can then turn it into a .png has a drastic reduction of the quality. Do you have any suggestions?--Chalkwriter 20:49, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
Never mind, although the file size seems to be a bit excessive (10,468 KB to be exact). The animation also seems to be half the speed of what it should be. Any ideas on how to speed it up?--Chalkwriter 20:47, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
After seeing the massive size of those animations and a brief talk with Kogoro, we decided that they shouldn't be animated in the end. With the animation out of the way, the file size of the attacks can now be 620 × 480 Masatoshitalk 22:11, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Fair enough, although wouldn't it make more sense for the size to be 640 x 480, as that is the default size for the screenshots that I can take. Or did you mean to say that in the first place?--Chalkwriter 09:08, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
Well, she meant 620 × 480. So we're taking her words as fact. Masatoshitalk 07:59, 4 March 2012 (UTC)
Actually, looks like I made a typo & didn't notice it. Yes, it should be 640 × 480. ^^; - Kogoro - Talk to me - 12:41, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
If the 3D console images are going to be 640x480, can someone change Movegen so that Stadium images are resized to 300px or less? Cheers. XVuvuzela2010X 20:08, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Black & White 2

The English site has confirmed the names to be Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2. The 2 comes after the word Version. Just letting you know in case you need to protect the pages. - Blazios talk 00:05, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

They're being protected right now. Thanks for the info. Masatoshitalk 00:07, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Also, since the main page has moved, Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 now redirects to a redirect page, rather than the main page. - Blazios talk 00:26, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, don't worry, I already took care of it. Masatoshitalk 00:28, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Why can't BW2 be added to the version mascots article? - Ericss 02:00, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

As of now, pretty much everything is speculation. We'd rather wait until we know the official names of Zekrom/Kyurem & Reshiram/Kyurem (who seem to be a new Legendary Pokémon, according to Masuda). Masatoshitalk 02:10, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Actually, we already know the forms' names. - Ericss 14:06, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
According to Masuda, those are new Legendary Pokémon, it doesn't mention they're formes at all. They could be, but let's go for the safest route and wait a little longer, I'll however bring it up once the higher-ups come back so we can discuss it, okay? Masatoshitalk 14:16, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

BW2 colors

tc26 already changed the colors so that they didn't have to have the exact same colors as black and white, besides the Blue and red are on the logos.ArchedThunder 13:57, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Black and White are also there. I honestly don't recall we reached an agreement with the proper color, so for the moment I'm leaving it as black and white. I could be wrong though, but we'll figure this out once MAGNEDETH comes in. I'm gonna leave the infobox for the main game as it is though. Can't be 100% sure. Masatoshitalk 13:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Okay, I still think however that Blue and Red would be the best choice so that they don't have to share the same colors with Black and White, but I understand where you are coming from.ArchedThunder 14:00, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I'd like to add something, mainly I want them to have different colors so they have have a separate identity from BW, but if you guys decide against Blue and Red could you at least bring up the possibility of using a different shade of Black and white, similar to how remakes get a different shade of their color, or maybe even a dark blue that is almost black and a light red that is almost white?ArchedThunder
That would be the plan, we'll see what we can do, if the lighter shade doesn't work, then I guess we'd be picking the red and blue tc26 used. If they undo my edits regarding the colors, then I guess we have picked the red and blue (which actually look a lot alike certain side series' games). Masatoshitalk 14:16, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
You're right, it does look like those colors, maybe try a different shade of blue and red? If not then I don't think it will mater much as those are separate from the main games, but I still think it would be wise to use a different shade of blue and red for BW2.ArchedThunder 14:20, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
They might not be main series games, but they're still games. :P We'll look into that later. Masatoshitalk 14:30, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I thought you were going to keep the info box those colors.ArchedThunder 18:08, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I kept them until MAGNEDETH came, I asked him, and he told me to delete the templates and remove the colors, since we still haven't decided on the colours, we're waiting for more staffers to come in so we can have a proper discussion about it. Masatoshitalk 18:25, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Okey Pokey. Tell me how that goes, or you might not have to because I'll probably see the decision on the page, unless you guys decide on just black and white in which case tell me, please.ArchedThunder 18:45, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
If I could make a suggestion, I think colours similar to the image below would be appropriate, a combination of black and blue for Black 2, and white and red for White 2. The previous set of colours would more appropriate for a Ruby and Sapphire remake, IMO.
BW2.png
XVuvuzela2010X 18:59, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
I think that red is perfect, the blue could be a bit lighter though.ArchedThunder 20:05, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
Okay, we have reached an agreement, and Umeko has just submitted the changes. Black 2 color, Black 2 color dark, Black 2 color light, White 2 color, White 2 color dark, White 2 color light. Our reasoning behind it is that the game should contain black and white, since those are the game names. She overlaid the red and blue from the logos at 5% opacity. Masatoshitalk 02:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
The color looks identical to the original. I think you guys should try a bit more than 5%. I'd also like to point out that we used orange for FireRed because the box color was orange.ArchedThunder 09:29, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Ume tried with 10%, and it looked too reddish-blueish, we had agreed on trying to use Black or White by any means necessary. Also, yes, FireRed uses orange because the box color was orange, we'd be using Black and White for these new games because they're predominantely using Black & White. :P Masatoshitalk 15:05, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

But the logos are Blue and Red. at 5% the black is identical to the basic black and the white is barely different. I'd also like to point out that the official Japanese site is almost entirely blue.ArchedThunder 15:38, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

(Please don't forget to indent your comments) I see the Ice color there, if that's what you're talking about. The logos are Black and White with a touch of Blue and Red, the earlier are still more predominant than the latter. Also, this way we'll prevent people from getting confused over the colors, we don't think it's a good idea to have the Generation V-2 colors look alike the Generation I and Mystery Dungeon: Time and Darkness colors. Masatoshitalk 17:35, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
But the colors are still nearly identical to the old ones, look up just a bit and see those colors? The dark blue and light red? They are nothing like the Gen 1 and Mystery dungeon colors. I also think the coloring of the logos is rather important considering there is a huge chunk of colored ice along with a large 2 that is colored. Wait, is there anyway you guys could make it so the words "Black and White" are those colors but the 2's are Blue and Red?ArchedThunder 19:08, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Honestly, it doesn't actually matter what colour the logos are. The games are called Black and White 2. Their colours must reflect that. They aren't Navy and Pink versions, so we will not have the blue and red as a significant portion of the colour. They are there as a slight tint to differentiate between the colours for Black and White, which rather obviously are also based on the colours black and white. Also, just one colour set per game. Werdnae (talk) 19:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Look at the logos. They have heavily emphasized the Blue and Red with large ice chunks and a large 2. Obviously the name's color doesn't matter if FireRed is Orange. I can tell I'm probably not going to get it anywhere near the way I want it so I guess I'm gonna have to deal with it, my OCD is gonna kill me but I will deal with it(no that is not an attempt to pity you into giving me my why and I just realized it sounded that way but I honestly don't know how else to phrase that XD ), I just wanted them to be differentiated from the original games in the same way that GameFreak is doing it, with Blue and Red.ArchedThunder 19:40, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Look at the Pearl JP logo. It has green, so it obviously must be changed to green, don't you think so? The Red and Blue occupy less than 20% of the logo, so it wouldn't make sense to have it as the primary color, seeing that Black & White have the upper hand. I'm sorry, but that's how we decided it should be, since they're still Black & White, they are kept as Black & White, but retrieved from the Blue & Red found in the logo. Masatoshitalk 19:45, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
That Green is a shine and not meant to draw the eye like the Blue and Red of the BW2 logos. I'm not really asking for them to be completely different colors at this point, I just want them to some how be differentiated from the originals in a better way. The red overlay is noticeable on the white but the blue is not at all. Like I said I realize I'm not going to get my why and I can deal with that, all I ask is that the blue tint on the black be turned up just a bit so that it doesn't look identical to the original black, or you guys could just use actual black and actual white for them instead of light grey and dark grey. Also just looked at the logos again and at least for black the blue takes a good 40% of the logo, the red on white is much less though. I don't quite understand why we can't just make the 2's the colors they are in the logo.

This is an incredibly dumb example/thought but what if they come out with something like a "rainbow" version, what would we do then?ArchedThunder 19:51, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

I'll talk to Umeko again in that case, but mind you, her voice matters here and if she says the colours stay, they stay. If we stumble upon Rainbow version (extremely unlikely), we'll just sit and have a chat, and see what we can do with it. We could use gradients for that case. Masatoshitalk 20:31, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Lol, I honestly don't expect it to change but thanks anyways.ArchedThunder 20:47, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Well what do you know? :P - Changed again. This time is slightly bluer and redder, but still retaining their Black & White status. Masatoshitalk 02:59, 28 February 2012 (UTC)
The Blue still doesn't show up on the black, the color is to dark for an overlay I think XD. But thanks, the white is perfect.ArchedThunder 15:32, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Image error

Hello again. I was trying to upload an image related to AG173 when suddenly this error did not allow me to continue. "File extension ".png" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/jpeg)." What can I do ?----DJWolfy 20:08, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

What's the filename of your file and what's the desired filename you want in Archives? Masatoshitalk 20:16, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
This one "http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/210/sudowoodoerror.png/". but still, why do I get the error ? - unsigned comment from DJWolfy (talkcontribs)
It seems that you had it as a .jpg file, then you renamed it to a .png. Archives won't let you upload files with renamed extension. You could try opening Paint.net or any image editing program you have there, save that image as a .png and then try again. Masatoshitalk 15:05, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Well,I took a screenshot then uploaded it.----DJWolfy 15:07, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Done,it worked.Btw how do you categorize a file aside from the licensing categorization ?- unsigned comment from DJWolfy (talkcontribs)
Masatoshitalk 15:35, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Uhm,and where exactly you put that ?----DJWolfy 15:49, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
You put it in the bottom of the file, when you are editing it. Masatoshitalk 17:37, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Summary or file description ?----DJWolfy 17:54, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
When you edit a file in Archives, you see the code there, it's normally filled with two headers: Summary and Licensing. Put the category tag at the bottom, after Licensing. Masatoshitalk 17:57, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
I see,but that is after it is uploaded. I thought that before the upload. Anyway, thanks !----DJWolfy 18:10, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Is there a page with all the categories ?----DJWolfy 18:12, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

a:Special:Categories. I'd advise you to check other error images and see what its categories are, you'll know where to put them afterwards. Stil, double check the categories you'd be reusing from another error images, just in case. Masatoshitalk 18:34, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Thanks!----DJWolfy 18:41, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Apologies

Hi, I wanted to apologize for my mistake on the Pallet Party Panic page and also making 4 consecutive edits. From now on, I will check everything before I make a major edit like that.- unsigned comment from Onix-pected (talkcontribs)

Alright. Make sure you check if the thing you want to add to the article has been discussed in the talk page first, at least important stuff such as anime arcs. Pallet Party Panic is regarded as the last episode of the Indigo League arc, and has been voted as such by consensus in the talk page. Masatoshitalk 08:04, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Emerald Walkthrough Top Notice

I understand why the Emerald walkthrough pages might not need the notice at the top, but it seems to me that it does, at least, serve as a simple, consistent intro throughout the sections. Yet, if the notice is indeed unnecessary, then none of the sections (or only the first page/section) of the walkthrough should have it, right? This isn't currently the case; so let's try to achieve some consistency, with the notice or without. - poikins 07:58, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

That's something you'll have to discuss in the Project Walkthrough if you want to get consistency, you'll have to discuss it with the other members or at least propose it to its leader, since nothing is said about the top of a walkthrough article, it's not really safe to start with a standard by one guy alone and expect everyone else to tag along, I'm not sure if you get the point I'm trying to make. Masatoshitalk 08:12, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
I see your point, although I was not trying to make all the walkthroughs consistent with each other, just the pages for Emerald, since some of them had it while others did not, and it seemed to make more sense to have it than not. I will inquire on the Walkthroughs talk page to get to the bottom of it (although I now see that most, but not all, of the other walkthroughs don't have it). - poikins 08:41, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Project_Fandom

Why do you keep reverting my edit on Bulbapedia_talk:Project_Fandom? Where does it say to "not touch talk pages"? And if it does, you are probably misunderstanding what the rule means. I'm just moving the big discussion into a section. If the rule is you can only add new sections then that part should be in a section and should never have been added like that in the first place. DisgruntledGoat 16:05, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

Wanted proof? Here it is. First bullet. This explains what talk pages are for. You are not allowed to edit anyone's "crap" because it's their "crap" and not yours. When I meant to not touch talk pages, I meant to say Do not edit other people's comments nor alter them at all. I'm just following the talk page policy and enforcing it. Masatoshitalk 19:16, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Okay, but I wasn't editing any of the actual comments at all, just putting the entire comment block in a section. Like I said, it should have been in a section to start with. You are misunderstanding the purpose of the no edit rule. - unsigned comment from DisgruntledGoat (talkcontribs)
That's still editing someone else's comment. That's not really allowed, plus, we are no one to decide what the heading of those people that created the talk page without a heading is. The purpose of the no edit rule is to not do stuff like correcting grammar, adding headings and such, that's under the original poster's discretion. You can however fix red links so it doesn't appear in the wanted pages list. Masatoshitalk 20:37, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

User:Beaner6*** (I cant remember the rest)

His name is racist. Could you block him/her(or it)? Thanks, since Werdnae doesn't understand how racist "beaner" is to Latin and South Americans(which I was told you are, so I think you'll get it), when they hear it from an American.(Or spambot). And congrats with you being future Editor-In-Chief! A winner is you! --Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 06:41, 3 April 2012 (UTC) Oops to that last part...I was thinking of Werdnae again...--Muk-a-matic-Maketh the Muk go round... 06:43, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

While it may offend South American people, take note that not all people on this site will get what it means. So I think it's safe to let it go.--ForceFire 06:58, 3 April 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I'm Uruguayan. Okay, first things first; racism relates to races, this name would relate to xenophobia. Beaner is considered slang for Mexican, not for Latin America (Basically, all Spanish-speaking countries are considered Latin America). To be honest, yes, while it's a derogatory term (that is rarely used nowadays), we can't just assume they are out to get any Mexican that dwells around the site (and besides, Beaner is also used to identify people from Boston. So it's not always offensive). And while assuming good faith, I'll believe they didn't chose this nick just to mock Mexicans. My decision is to not ban him because of insufficient proofs for him to be considered having a bad nick. Masatoshitalk 07:10, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

APNG move animations

Hi,

May I know how you manage to make PNG animations for moves on this site, such as this? I'd like to see if I can help with some of the Generation III and IV move pngs (a lot of which are still unanimated). Thanks! Haxorus 06:39, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Animget and an image editor software will suffice, though I really recommend that the image editor has the ability to automatize the work. Masatoshitalk 06:43, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Well, thanks to your help, I managed to satisfactorily extract the requisite frames for the creation of a needed animation. However, I have yet to find a suitable compiling program to actually create the animations. What do you suggest? Thanks once more, Haxorus 10:07, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
To be precise, I can't find one that allows you to upload layers (frames) in batches to facilitate painless animation creation. Hope that clears things up. Haxorus 10:31, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention Japng Editor. Masatoshitalk 17:20, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
All right, I think I got it. Thanks for your help once more. :-) Haxorus 03:34, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
You're almost done, now you need to copy a frame that shows the attack in effect and paste it in the front. With it being the first frame, browsers that don't support APNG will see that frame instead of two Pokémon staring at each other. Masatoshitalk 03:42, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Hmm? Sounds fishy. Could your browser be displaying my initial APNG upload for the move, instead of my most recent? My initial did have the Pokémon staring at each other on the field like you pointed out, but the most recent one does not as far as I have checked (with the correct frame being selected for non-APNG browsers. It's Kyogre with 243HP versus Shellos in daytime, rather than Kyogre with 240HP versus Tentacool during the evening.
Also, I saw a comment on your Archives talkpage saying that the first frame, adapted for non-APNG browsers, had to have its time set at 0ms in Japng and the "skip first frame" option selected. Though I have the latter out of the way, I did not follow the former in the creation of my APNG. Yet, it successfully shows the first, hidden frame in IE8 and skips it when playing the animation in Firefox. Could you enlighten me? Haxorus 06:45, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
If it's skipping the first frame, it doesn't matter how long it is set to display that frame. Werdnae (talk) 08:01, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, Werdnae. Acknowledged.
Also, I'd like to be prepared for occasions where a job requires more than 220 frames, which brings me to my next question for the time being – how do you hide the first frame of an APNG created using Anime Maker with GIMP? I have both (GIMP even has the requisite APNG plug-in), but I'm not sure how to use the latter to this effect. Thanks once more, Haxorus 12:02, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry for the late reply, and I'm again sorry as I don't know how to make it work with GIMP, and I don't think you can skip the first frame in APNG Anime Maker, what you could do is: copy the frame you want to use as the first one, paste it somewhere else (not in the file), open APNG Anime Maker and fiddle around with the speed until it's as fast as the games themselves, optimize it, then open the optimized file with JAPNG Editor and paste the first frame at the top, click on skip first frame, and try it. To be honest I can barely remember how I used to do that, I only used the APNGAM like twice. Hope this clears your question (somewhat). Masatoshitalk 06:27, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
It's all right, I realise you could've been busy. I managed to find out on my own, funnily enough just yesterday. Apparently, I'd been handling the APNG plugin for GIMP wrongly, having missed the requisite step of removing the original PNG plugin from the program. Basically, after producing an animation in Anime Maker with the first frame shown, it has to be opened with GIMP, then saved through "Save as" (not "Save", which would destroy the animation by saving it as a still image of the first frame), where after entering a filename a window would pop up with checkboxes for "Save as animation" and "First frame is hidden", of which both needed to be checked.
Enjoy the remainder of your Sunday! Haxorus 12:25, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Broken Links

Are we allowed to fix the broken links on another user's page ? Or just remove them ? Because there is a huge number of them ----DJWolfy 00:10, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

It depends on what the red links are from, if it's a file, then try and look up if the image in question has been moved; if so, then replace it with the new file name; if not, add an alternative image. However, if there are no alternatives to that image, use red link instead. If it was a personal image, then just use the red link template, as we don't allow those anymore in Archives. Masatoshitalk 01:40, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
It's a broken link, not redlink. It's a image that has been deleted, not something like this: Unproduced episodes but more like this: Boon Island. As you can see there is a broken image on the right, under the map.----DJWolfy 07:15, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
As you can see they don't appear in the "Wanted Pages", rather they appear in the "Pages with broken file links" category.----DJWolfy 07:28, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Well then, upload the map so that it won't be broken anymore. Masatoshitalk 08:31, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
I'm feeling misunderstood :-<. That was an example. That isn't the only broken file, There are hundreds and you can not put them red link or whatever because when you enter edit mode the file just isn't there. And plus I'm not acquainted to uploading maps and such. I can convert different formats if I have the image or just replace it if there's one on the archives. And I also upload different images from the anime with errors and things. Anyway, what I wanted to know is, what should there be made with broken links if there aren't images on the archives to be replaced. Removed ? If that's the only possible thing. ----DJWolfy 09:14, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
The template is made so that it will automatically pick the file that meets the criteria for that article. So, if you upload , the file will be automatically shown in the location article. If you can't upload them, it'll be best if you wait until someone else does. Masatoshitalk 00:54, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Ok, last question, let me get this straight, so where there is a broken file I just replace it with and it's done?----DJWolfy 07:27, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

At least when the file is needed in the infobox. Just do this, go to the article where that file is missing, click the link to it, go to Archives following that link, and upload it there, and voilà. Masatoshitalk 21:39, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Sounds simple, problem is "No file by this name exists.". And under it, it only shows me which pages link to it. No link to the archives though. Maybe if you'd show me an example on this Courtyard Colosseum.... ----DJWolfy 23:54, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Pokétopia Courtyard Colosseum map.png in the infobox, click it, then in the address bar in your internet browser, change bulbapedia with archives. You'll see it gives you an option to upload a file with that name, you do that, and as soon as the servers sync between each other, you'll see a nifty map in the article. Masatoshitalk 00:09, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Ok, I have not made myself clear. I previously said I don't do maps or any stuff related to games because I'm not acquainted on how to make quality shots of such things. I mostly do anime work. What I asked is if there is a way besides uploading the respective file to fix a broken link...or at least to make someone aware of that.----DJWolfy 00:24, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Then don't do it, let the mappers handle the issue for now. We've had red links for a long time and we'll certainly have a lot for a while. Masatoshitalk 00:28, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Actually I'm quite busy with the anime work, but still, when I get over it, maybe I'll focus on games too. How do you take quality screenshots? I mean, you use the usual print screen or some kind of special program, is it on the PC or the GBA/DS ?----DJWolfy 00:31, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Quality screenshots of the game? I use AnimGet. PC. Masatoshitalk 00:39, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
And if one wants to make an animated picture ?----DJWolfy 00:41, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Got something above. Masatoshitalk 01:02, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
That will do for now, thanks !----DJWolfy 01:08, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

So ?

What's the final decision afterall ? How should they be arranged? ----DJWolfy 16:29, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Well I think that's that, but Vigoroth and Furret still miss information on their special abilities section and the latter also misses on its gender differences. What should be done ?----DJWolfy 18:04, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Well, by adding information over them. That's the easiest answer I can come up with. Masatoshitalk 18:58, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Captain ! Well, I don't know. I thought you might knew someone who is skilled at completing those.----DJWolfy 19:06, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Anyone is capable of doing that, they just need to be coherent and consistent. Masatoshitalk 19:13, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Well, it must be official though...----DJWolfy 19:21, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Use the Pokédex entries for the special ablities, since that's where they mostly come from, there's no official sources for them. And as for gender differences, check the sprites, compare them, and if they're different, state them. If there aren't, just write "None.", and you're done. Masatoshitalk 19:36, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
I'll pass, it says that it also needs from the anime and I can't remember all of Furret's appearances. Shouldn't there be a leader for Project Pokédex ?----DJWolfy 19:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Btw, what was that bot you were talking about ?----DJWolfy 18:25, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Auto Wiki Browser. Masatoshitalk 20:36, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
And what does exactly do ?----DJWolfy 20:46, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
Well, check my contributions while using it and make an educated guess. :P Masatoshitalk 00:22, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

Template

What's the difference between pkmn and pkmn2 templates ? ----DJWolfy 21:44, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

The position of Pokémon. pkmn has it as a prefix, and pkmn2 has it as a suffix. Masatoshitalk 03:51, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Oh, but could you add pkmn2 to the link templates page ? Because it's missing and should be there.----DJWolfy 12:53, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Kind of insulting and/or condescending or not, it's still a rule to be enforced. It's not like I threatened to block you, it was just a friendly advice for you to try to make your edits in one sit instead of doing them in more. Masatoshitalk 04:55, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Not everything can be done in one edit, we're just human. Besides I didn't do that many edits. one was a misfire which i explained in the undo summary, and the other two couldn't be helped to be done separately.
Sometimes you can't do multiple edits in one go, especially depending on which edit button you press. While I had pressed the edit page button to re-add the shellder info, when it came to the Unown section I pressed the edit button for that particular section. Plus the Unown thing was an impulsive last minute decision that arose after I had pressed the save page button after re-adding the Shellder stuff.
Besides What if someone is fixing vandalism and misses something small the first time? Do they deserve to get the preview button warning for not fixing all the vandalism in one go? Or what if they fix Vandalism, then add something that improves the article?
I'm not mad at you for posting it, and I'm not trying to raise a fuss; I'm just trying to point out that you don't have to go textbook every single time. Yamitora1 06:54, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry that I overreacted. I've been a little taxed lately, sleep problems, multiple things on my plate excuse excuse ect ect.
The point is I over reacted and I'm sorry. I hope their is no hard feelings and hopefully we can work together to improve some articles. Yamitora1 10:34, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
Don't worry, there aren't any hard feelings. You did overreact, indeed, but at least you understood my point, right? I know you're a human and make mistakes, so am I, everyone makes mistakes. That's why we normally wait until people make at least four edits to the same article, it's to encourage them to try and do it in the least amount of edits possible.
