Renaming files

Hey, I noticed you uploaded a file again saying it was under a wrong name. If you go to a file you've already submitted and towards the bottom of the page it'll say something like "Upload a new version of this file" and you can upload another file (It has to be the same format. ex. can't replace a png with a jpg. Just doesn't work.) and you can also rename it under any name you want. :D Just a little fun fact that could be valuable information for future reference. ^^ Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 09:56, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Archives

If you would like something deleted, placing a {{delete}} tag in the summary will suffice, and an active Administrator will get to it faster. Thanks. Jellotalk 21:40, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Teru-sama

Since you're experiences with playing with glitches in Crystal, can you please check which index numbers of Teru-samas are in the items pocket and which ones are in the key items pocket? If none are in the key items pocket, then that should be removed from the page. --SnorlaxMonster 05:02, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Linking to files before uploading them

Unfortunately, if you link to a file before you upload it, due to a server synchronization problem, it will appear as a red link on Bulbapedia for several days. Make sure that you upload before linking. --SnorlaxMonster 10:34, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I didn't knew about this... Dammit, I got logged out when I submit message so I can't submit it >.< Marked +-+-+ 10:44, 20 February 2011 (UTC) PS.Uh, finally submitted...

Move images

Any new move images are supposed to be animated png...not just static. MaverickNate 03:55, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Indigo Plateau Pokémon

I believe that the wild Pokémon should be the same as those found in Cerulean Gym, with the same encounter rates too. Could you please check this? --SnorlaxMonster 03:25, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Gameshark

GameShark codes are known to cause glitches, I wouldn't trust them too much. I remember battling a Fisherman named Gina (a name of one of the Picnickers) when messing with Trainer Battle codes in GSC. Those are GameShark codes for ya - they cause glitches. --Maxim 13:03, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Sprites

We are actually working on a new spritebox which includes the FRLG backsprites. It won't be implement until all the missing backsprites are uploaded/redirected though, and is temporarily on hold due to the Archives being locked. --SnorlaxMonster 13:59, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh...But it's also HG/SS. So far, I couldn't spot difference only between Charizard from DPPt and HGSS... yet it doesn't redirect. From Bulbasaur to Squirtle, other sprites have difference... though some are hard to see (like Squirtle in HGSS - "border" of shell is slightly darker. And I mean so slightly that I need to open them both in Firefox to spot difference). Marked +-+-+ 14:07, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, the template should compensate for HGSS too. When the Archives are opened back up again, you can upload those. --SnorlaxMonster 14:15, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
HG/SS? No way, I barely did something in HG/SS... and the missing are shiny sprites. Emerald and earlier is possible but HG/SS... situation is screwed. ONE badge. >_> Untouched for like few months. D: Marked +-+-+ 14:23, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Veekun lets us use his sprites. So most of the time those can be compared, and uploaded (although the dimensions are usually different to our standard). --SnorlaxMonster 14:29, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
Could you just hold off editing the templates to the new names for a bit longer? The reason I haven't changed it yet is that not all the back sprites are done (in particular the shiny emerald sprites are largely not redirected), and if an image is used on a page before it exists, Bulbapedia may cache that it doesn't exist even after it is uploaded and the cahce is purged on both sides, causing a long delay before it shows up. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 05:32, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

Food

I asked you not to touch it because I was working on it. I have just finished, just getting a few Japanese names. Please read what I say carefully. --SnorlaxMonster 15:33, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

*facepalm* Gonna upload the pictures of Gummis anyway, unless you have them. Marked +-+-+ 15:39, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Gummis... Oh god. Some of them share colors (at least when looking by eye without anything like Paint or GIMP) - Yellow and Gold; Green and Grass; Royal and Black; White, Steel, Clear and Gray; Sky and Blue... (10 colors) their description is: A food item that somewhat fills the Pokémon's Belly. When given to a rescue team member, it raises the Pokémon's IQ. <type> Pokémon like it best/A food item that permamently increases the IQ of a team member. <type> Pokémon like it most. It also somewhat fills the Pokémon's Belly. Not sure about Wonder and Wander Gummis. Marked +-+-+ 15:54, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Well, I've been using spriters resource, but you can get them from our German friends too. German wiki is probably easiest, since they already match sprite to item. --SnorlaxMonster 16:00, 18 September 2011 (UTC)
Meh. They don't have Wander (or Wonder?) Gummi, also it looks that Gummis changed colors in second games since the Black Gummi from Red Rescue Team has other color than the one from German Wiki. My is more blue (from Red Rescue Team), while their is more black-like (probably Time and Darkness onward). Marked +-+-+ 18:38, 18 September 2011 (UTC)

Item categories in Generation I

You mentioned that in Pokémon Stadium, the game distinguishes between key and normal items. I see in the screenshot you provided that HMs are key items and TMs are normal items. I have a question: are the dummied out badges normal items or key items? --SnorlaxMonster 15:50, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Okey... That's strange. Stadium 1 says they are not... (they have quantity and are in white) but Yellow say they are (they do not have quantity). Also, only Boulder and Cascade are usable, other have text which appears when key item can't be used (like using Super Rod not on water). Also, what happened to "no adding trivia, one edit per userpace" stuff? Marked +-+-+ 13:11, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
I would think that they are key items, but Stadium recognizes whether an item is a key item or not using a lookup table, and since they are not intended to be obtained, they are defaulted to normal items. How about the surfboard, "?????"? So only the Boulder and CascadeBadges change the music? Those two rules are now gone (userspace back up to 3/day, trivia can be added). --SnorlaxMonster 05:48, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

8 (DE) sprite

How did you get this? Can you tell me what emulator and what color mode you used when obtaining it? When I caught it, I just got one with a blackout glitch screen, unlike the one you got with a purple one.--×Rsrdaman× 01:58, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

VBA on True Colors (I always have this on), and via Johto guard glitch (Marill) This allows to get many glitches that crash game, or ♀_. with (presumably) looped cry, since you don't encounter them in wild. Marked +-+-+
Ok, I was more wondering what the color setting was in like GBC, SGB, SGB2 color modes. I did pull out my old Gameshark and test it out on my Gameboy, and I did see the result you got. But let me rephrase that, I just encounter all the glitch Pokémon in the wild and screenshot their sprites, even if there in a glitch trainers party. Now im wondering why VBA shows sprites differently. I did notice however the sprite I got was the same as yours but just with a different screen, I'll have to look more into this.--×Rsrdaman× 14:27, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

APNG animations

Hi!

May I know how you manage to hide the first frame of APNG animations for proper viewing in both non-APNG and APNG browsers (where the first, preferably action, frame is shown in the former, and the full animation minus the first frame is shown in the latter) using Anime Maker and GIMP? I have both (GIMP also has the APNG support plug-in), but I don't know how to use the former to hide the first frame of an animation that's been made in Anime Maker. I'm asking this because I want to be prepared for animation jobs that exceed 220 frames, which JAPNG Maker can't satisfactorily handle.
