Due to me acquiring a full time job recently, I am not here as frequently as usual. As such, it may take some time to respond to your questions. If at all possible, please ask another admin for help for non-anime issues. Thank you very much.

Attention: Before you post

Since this has happened repeatedly, here is a list of Pokémon belonging to rivals/recurring in the anime that I wish you would not ask me about making them in your userspace. These Pokémon did have articles before but the Editorial Board agreed upon them being merged into the Trainer's article. Here is the list:

  • Max's Ralts
  • Gary's Nidoking
  • Gary's Nidoqueen
  • Drew's Flygon
  • Drew's Masquerain
  • Drew's Absol
  • Drew's Butterfree
  • Harley's Banette
  • Harley's Ariados
  • Harley's Octillery
  • Harley's Wigglytuff
  • Paul's Azumarill
  • Paul's Stantler
  • Paul's Weavile
  • Paul's Gliscor
  • Paul's Ninjask
  • Paul's Drapion
  • Barry's Heracross
  • Zoey's Mismagius
  • Nando's Sunflora
  • Kenny's Alakazam
  • Kenny's Breloom
  • Ursula's Plusle and Minun
  • Casey's Elekid
  • Happy - Ritchie's Butterfree
  • Cruise - Ritchie's Pupitar
  • Rose - Ritchie's Taillow
  • Volkner's Raichu
  • Volkner's Luxray
  • Trip's Tranquill
  • Trip's Frillish
  • Trip's Lampent
  • Bianca's Escavalier

There are more than this, but most of the others were Gym Leader/Elite Four/Frontier Brain Pokémon and I have yet to be asked about recreating them.

If you would be so kind, try to avoid asking about these Pokémon. The main reason being the obvious one: they were already here and deemed unnotable. The second is about history preservation for the articles that were redirected and not deleted before then. If the decisions were to ever be overturned, the redirects that exist now can be reverted back to the way the were and history will be preserved. Moving a userspace article over the redirect will erase all the history from before. I recommend saving your work on an external program for use at a later time or write what ever information you have into the Trainer article itself. Thank you for understanding. --ケンジガール

Mainspace Page

Hey Kenji, Since you are the Project Anime leader, I was wondering if you felt that my page was completed enough to move into the mainspace? --HoennMaster 05:00, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Looks good to me. --ケンジガール 09:07, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Adding VAs to articles

The Project VA article says that VAs of languages other than English and Japanese should be added in a table at the bottom of a article. To add a VA to that table, is is necessary to have official confirmation, or is listening evidence good enough??? I mean, for the second Hindi dub, we have official confirmation of the lead roles. But some of these VAs also worked for the first dub. So, can their roles be added by simply listening to the episodes and comparing voices?? signed comment from PikaTepig999 10:06, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

We'd prefer it if you had official confirmation on voices. Unless it has a credit system like the Japanese version of the show, it can be impossible to tell by ear alone unless they have a signature quality about their voice, like Lisa Ortiz. --ケンジガール 18:06, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Well the Hindi dubs dont credit the VAs in the endings. And about what I meant by listening to ear alone, I mean that we can instantly identify some VAs whose voices are heard everyday. Like those who have a major role. Hence by this method we can recognize the VAs. We could also add the {{fact}} tag. → signed comment from PikaTepig999 11:02, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Anime appearances

Hello Kenji,

Do statues, plush toys or other inanimate representations of Pokémon count as anime appearances?--DJWolfy 11:41, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

We've decided earlier that they do not count. --ケンジガール 18:06, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! And sorry, but due to being inactive for the past three years I was not aware when it has been decided so I do not know how earlier it was.--DJWolfy 11:17, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Clemont's Pokémon

Hi Kenji, Since you are the Project Anime leader, I was wondering if you felt that User:Rahl/Clemont's Magneton and User:Relicant/Clemont's Heliolisk are able to be moved into the mainspace. Both of these Pokémon have met the notability requirements and I was hoping to get your approval. Thank you.Rahl 15:19, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Professor Sycamore's Garchomp

Hi, I was wondering if you think Professor Sycamore's Garchomp is important enough to have her own page. She was integral to the second episode - so much so that she was basically a COD - and since she's going to reappear in XY068, which is probably going to be about her Mega Evolution, then there's going to be a lot more information about her. AGGRON989 15:53, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

I honestly don't know since I haven't watched the latest episode and cannot give a proper opinion. --ケンジガール 03:47, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Footers on Character's Pokémon Pages

We seem to have a "limbo" status on some of the character's Pokémon pages. For instance, Ash's Pikachu has footers for Misty, Dawn, and even Officer Jenny of all people, linkling to their respective Pokémon. Ash's Pikachu belongs only to Ash, so IMO only Ash's footer belongs there; it doesn't matter if Misty and Dawn each commanded Pikachu at some point in a "borrowed" state (in that case, Team Rocket's templates should be there since they convinced him he was on their team once); IMO, the only character footer template belonging there is Ash's. Other edits I reverted today include Ash on Serena's Pancham, Serena on Clemont's Chespin, Serena on Ash's Frogadier, and Ash on Clemont's Luxray.

Can we have some kind of guideline confirming one of the following?

  • 1. That pages should only have the footer of the Pokémon's owner, or owners in cases of traded Pokémon (like Dawn's Ambipom and Ash's Buizel), or;
  • 2. That all templates belonging to people who have ever used them temporarily are allowed.

IMO, option 1 is correct, but I'm not sure how they have been treated thus far, so I'm asking for your review. CycloneGU (talk) 20:40, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

Still would like as guideline on this as well so I can make changes as necessary in some articles. CycloneGU (talk) 16:06, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
I feel that footers for Pokémon should only have their trainer's template. Or as you said "option 1" --ケンジガール 03:47, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Thanks! I'll go ahead and see if I can fix up the individual articles in the current series based on that, then. Prior series can be corrected by anyone as well, too. CycloneGU (talk) 04:53, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
I will ask one more follow-up on this, and I'm on the fence on this. "Recurring Pokémon" is almost like an ownership status, but for those who are caught by a Trainer (in the current series, Froakie in his second episode and Dedenne in its second episode), would the "recurring" footer still be appropriate, or can that also be removed? Everything else is updated to have only the Trainer who actually owns it on the page, including Ash's Pikachu; I haven't gone back to Unova or earlier yet. CycloneGU (talk) 05:17, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Clemont's Luxio English voice actor

We should find out his English voice actor. It's been 149 days and we still don't know. Plus it evolved in the dub so it'll be even harder to find out the sooner we wait. Not trying to rush anyone, but still. Technickal (talk) 15:45, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

I'm in a position where I can no longer contact Tom Wayland about voice actors. Users will have to find another way to find out this information. But in the case of Clemont's Luxray I think it should just say Billy Bob Thompson voiced it. The reasons given why we can't are being a little nitpicky. I don't know of a case where a voice actor was wrong about what character they voiced. --ケンジガール 03:47, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Madame X

Hello, since you are the Project Anime leader, what do you think to my User:Pokéfan95/Madame X article? Can it be mainspaced? Thank you! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 01:54, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

It's a nice looking article. I'm just not sure about notability. I would like it better if Malamar had its own article and Madame X got placed in it somewhere. --ケンジガール 03:47, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
When I try to move my Madame X article to the mainspace, it doesn't allow me. I look to the problem, and I saw that Madame X is a redirect. So I think another name, and it is Officer Jenny (XY019). --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 06:59, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

History and an upcoming episode

Hey Kenji, regarding to this edit, someone has added a part that is from XY071, which is an upcoming episode. Shouldn't that part must not be added until it airs? It can show early spoilers, and I wanna know if users can add information from an upcoming episode (the Pokémon or human must have a role there) to a Pokémon's/human's history section. Thank you! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 00:56, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

The episode aired in Japan. It did not air in English so your point is invalid --Pratik_12 Talk 04:51, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
I get what your concern is but here on Bulbapedia we always update according to the Japanese airings and not the English. Since the episode aired already in Japan it's perfectly fine.--ケンジガール 02:36, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay! --~~ThePokémonFanSince1995~~-- 06:05, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Nintendo Anime Channel

Is the Nintendo Anime Channel notable enough to have its own article? It currently has 30 episodes of the Pokémon Anime available to watch, and has had more in the past. It is a free application for the 3DS that has been distributed via SpotPass to all 3DS family consoles to enable free softare downloads and connect to the internet recently, but is only available in the PAL region. Serena's Pancham

Hello. I was wondering if it is okay if I change Pancham's gender to male and edit the "it"s to he/him. Pancham is male because he fell in love with the female Meowstic in "Splitting Heirs". Also, Nini's Smoochum fell in love with him in "Pathways to a Performance Partnering." I will wait for your confirmation before I edit it.Leafeon6954 (talk) 01:22, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

Not to speak for Kenji-girl, but this is discussed on the talk page where it's explained no, we can't assume Pancham is male. Until it's hit by a move like Attract, we can't assume anything.
Of course, that assumes Attract only works on the opposite gender, but meh. CycloneGU (talk) 02:35, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
Also, that was Chespin, not Pancham, falling in love with the female Meowstic. Technickal (talk) 01:26, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
