Hi there!
The Archives are OPEN
Seriously guys, it's pretty dark and lonely here :'(

Have you considered uploading Generation V sprites? Bulbapedia is still missing quite a few of them.
Check out Project Sidegames. If you own these games, please help improve this neglected section of the wiki!
Project Battrio. Battrio needs your love too! Help Umeko out. Most neglected project ever.
Project Manga. Do you read anything besides Adventures? We have quite a few lonely manga articles as well.

Please remember proper etiquette: If someone asks me a question, allow me some time to answer it, before you jump in yourself. If you are a homie, feel free to jump in whenever :P Thank you.

Hi

Hi Jello. Could you please protect my archived Talk page please? Here is the link: User talk: Cool469/archive 1.

Thank you. Cool469* 21:35, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Signature

Im nearly done changing my Signature. I'm just getting the color in it. Cool469talk 22:05, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Ok. I'm done now. It links to my User and Talk page. Cool469talk 22:05, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Good job :P I see you copied and modified my signature. Jellotalk 22:06, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
Is that alright? I'll change it if you want. Cool469talk 22:10, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
It's fine, just use different colours, lol. Jellotalk 22:12, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Archives

Can you delete this file? I accidentally uploaded it under wrong name. Marked +-+-+ 09:28, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

Regarding becoming a user...

So, I'm guessing that the ability to have a user page here on the Archives isn't determined by number of uploads. : ) Is it time-based, then? «hexagonTHEORY» 09:37, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Everyone is able to create a userpage on the Archives, but it is preferred if the main user page is on Bulbapedia. The ability to create a user page on Bulbapedia is different. It's determined by a (secret) number of edits and time, I think. Jellotalk 01:57, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Rule breaker

I came across this message in the recent changes. I'm no master of Spanish but I know what 'puta' means and using a translator, I think this message falls under the harassment policy. So I guess do what you admins do best and unleash your Judgement. Thanks. =) Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 22:41, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, Jo. I don't know any Spanish either, but I do know that puta is a bad word. :D Jellotalk 22:48, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
It wasn't hidden fully? Bluesun 23:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I got it now hopefully. Jellotalk 23:08, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Rotational battles

Celibi25: Sorry, Lets team up everyone and make the article Rotational battle a reality.

Well, articles should at least be created first with more than just a sentence. Do some research to get your facts straight. Use the preview button to fix your mistakes. Make sure the article meets Bulbapedia's style and guidelines. You should have read the Bulbapedia:Manual of Style and you should use proper link templates and things like that. It's hard to learn all this at once, so maybe should steer away from creating articles and do some minor edits around the site to get a hang of things first. Jellotalk 01:29, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Celibi25: Done and done, I can't belive that nobody thought to incude the fact that Charizard has the most hybrid glitch pokemon. By the way, what are Admins?

My Userpage

I have been banned from editing my userpage for editing it too much. But I would like to know four things:

1. Even though I'm banned [not permanantly], can I still do pages like Zekasaur/Teams or /Sandbox etc.?
2. If so, how do I make them? Is it like a normal page or...?
3. On my userpage it says that in my FireRed game, I have a Blastoise level 94. But I actually have one level 62. Did I do this or did someone else? 4. What happened to the single enter? Now I have to do either <br> or two enters to get a new line! (This is also happening on Bulbanews and on the archives.

Please answer back soon! - unsigned comment from Zekasaur (talkcontribs)

To answer your question simply, once you have been banned from editing your user page, then you are not allowed to edit any of your pages, which includes Zekasaur/Teams or your Sandbox. If you do get your privileges back, you can create a new page by adding /Teams add the end of your user page. For the third one, that's too bad. Wait until you are allowed to edit again, it's not important. As for the last one, I don't know. I always used two enters or a <br> to get a new line. Also, creating a user page on the Archives counts as an evasion of the user page policy, especially when your privilege has been taken away here. So, just forget about your user page for a while and go edit something else. Jellotalk 07:15, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Just one more thing... Does editing at bulbanews or the archives help me regain my editing abilities on the userspace? —♫Zekasaur♫ 07:22, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
You can help on those wikis but there are no promises if that will get you back your privileges. Technically those are different wikis. You have to earn back your privilege here, by making edits here. Jellotalk 07:29, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Userpage help

On my userpage I have a tag that says "This user loves spring" However when I try to add anything under the template formula it shows up on in the green box. Can you help me fix this? Pokemaster97 03:13, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Problem fixed. You forgot to add a |} to the end, which closes the template. たかはり 03:17, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! Pokemaster97 03:20, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Move image tagging

Here's a file http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:FRLGBind.PNG that's quite interesting, in my opinion.

The older revision of this image is FRLG, but the new version is Platinum. How would I structure the move tag to request moving the new one to Bind IV.png and the old one to Bind III.png?

Thanks! --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 02:23, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

I totally thought this was the archives. I won't be reposting it there though. --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 02:24, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Just save the new version, and upload it as Bind IV.png. I'll deal with the older revision. Also, my Archives userpage redirects here, sorry for the confusion! Jellotalk 02:27, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Ohh okay. Also, I left a message on Nate's talk page but I haven't got a reply yet. I couldn't get the Mv template to work as seen here: http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Razor_Wind_V.png. Can you help me? :D! --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 02:38, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Sure thing. For that template, you have to subst: it, so it would be {{subst:Mv|Swellow|Razor Wind|Absol|bw}}. Jellotalk 02:41, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
Thank you so much :D! --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 02:43, 23 November 2010 (UTC)

Guardian Signs Mini Series

Hi Jello sorry to bother you again :) I posted a concern on the pokémon Ranger Guardian signs talk page but, no one responded. I said that there is a 7-10 minuet mini series on Pokémon.com called Pokémon Ranger Guardian signs. I noticed there is not an article about it on the Wiki. I wuld create it myself, but I don't know how to make the episode information section. Can you help with this? Pokemaster97 22:41, 26 November 2010 (UTC)

It's already on here actually, and it's not a mini series it's just two episodes (one in the English Version) here they are SS022 and SS023 Ataro 23:02, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Yep. Jellotalk 23:42, 26 November 2010 (UTC)
Oh I was a little confused because it wasn't on the Pokémon Ranger Disambunction page and I didn't think to look for a special episode. Can I add it to the disamb. page? Pokemaster97 17:46, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, go ahead. Jellotalk 17:59, 27 November 2010 (UTC)
The deed is done :) Pokemaster97 23:14, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

The old learnset templates

Hi Jello, about the old learnset templates, do they still need updating?Shadow Walker 22:39, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

According to the category, there are still 27 pages left to do. Jellotalk 22:43, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Ok thanks. I just needed to know just in case that was out of date.Shadow Walker 23:09, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Brendan Walk Down sprite

I'm pretty sure your the one I should talk to about this. So I came upon this file File:Brendanwalkdown.gif and I think the quality isn't really up to the standards on here. I don't know if this file is even supposed to be here or not. --Bee § Bwakka♂ (meh talk) 23:33, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Hmm that shouldn't actually be categorized like it is right now. It needs a personal image tag since it's only being used by a user here. Thanks for bringing it up. Jellotalk 23:36, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Userpage?

Another Question, how do I get a userpage? Pokémad (Shadow Walker) 17:37, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

See your talkpage for your answer. --JediKnightDTV 18:43, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

Regarding the comment

This user said some mean comments after undoing this edit. PattyMan 04:23, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

It wasn't directed at anyone though, he's just frustrated about how the recent moves work right now. Recent moves are only considered recent if the the moves were used in the last 10 episodes, and because Best Wishes has just begun, all moves apply currently, so he was correct to undo your edit. Jellotalk 05:28, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Are you sure it was a he? PattyMan 05:51, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I am sure that user is a he, I have him on AIM, lol. Jellotalk 05:52, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Old game stuff, 1 or 4 years old

Do we need those pokemon graphics from the poketch? I have a few.--Pika3323 23:43, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe so, this page pretty much covers everything. If you can find a use for it, let me know. Jellotalk 23:50, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
That ominous Pikachu... It needs a purpose. See?!
Poketch_pikachu.png
I need a new signature.--Pika3323 20:06, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm just aksing you something

I was reading the recent changes and it said you deleted a user because the server was full and the content was Delete. What does it mean by the server is full? Cool469talk 05:16, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

It's a joke. Jellotalk 05:38, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

UnFair...

Umm... You recently deleted one of my pages right when I made it. I am dissapointed, and will not accept you deleting MY stuff and ME having to accept it. Sure, I don't want to mess up the website, but I don't know everything! I'm NOT a scientist!!! I don't understand and will not lose, THE GUY THAT SHOULDN'T BE MESSED WITH! --Alkamota 18:56, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Your page was personal content. If you had bothered to read your talk page, you would realize that it belongs on your user page, and not in the mainspace where the rest of Bulbapedia's encyclopedia content is. Please go read the rules again before you come to me and complain about how unfair I am being. Jellotalk 19:01, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

???

No one ought to just delete pages. Shouldn't you tell the person about the mistake BEFORE you delete it? Not even at the same time. Not after. I'm not mad about the page thing anymore, but PLEASE make a few edits of when the site is deleted. --Alkamota 19:05, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

I have the right to delete any content that violates the policies and rules on this wiki. For you information, I had also left a message on your talk page right after I had deleted it, explaining why. You seem to be ignoring that fact. Most users understand that they should not to recreate a page after it has been deleted. Especially if it is personal content. This is a wiki about Pokémon, not a social networking site. I can't help you if you don't read the welcome template that we place for all users on their talk pages that links to all our policies. You should try reading through it get familiar with things. Hopefully you'll understand then. Thanks. Jellotalk 19:16, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

don't

Don't think the content on my page "don't mess with what I put on here" was put there for nothing. The right you have was given to the WRONG person. Why do I say something so cruel like that? Because you're using that right as an advantage to remove other people's stuff. That's what I think. The rules? I made a few. ^ up there. --Alkamota 19:33, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Don't forget the code of conduct!! If you don't calm down, you may get blocked! Gliscorguy54 19:36, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Gliscorguy is right. You're still not understanding things are you? You do not own this site. I am not taking advantage of anything. I am enforcing the rules here. Your stuff is the in the wrong place. If you don't want it removed, place it in the correct place the first time. But of course you can't do that because you are not able to create a userpage just yet, like I have explained on your talk page and have reminded you, so many times. This is a wiki about Pokémon, not a myspace or facebook account. Your rules cannot cancel out the rules on this wiki. I suggest you go read our rules before you start enforcing your own. Thanks. Jellotalk 19:57, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

... OK, I surrendur... But, there's not really anything to edit. jediknight or whatever his name was told me about those people doing enough editing to get a userpage, and then stopped editing. I think they did at least enough editing to make there nothing left to say. The only thing I put was on pokemon red and blue about the japanese release.(it looks a bit misplaced). So, I surrendur. - unsigned comment from Alkamota (talkcontribs)

There is always, always something to edit, or expand. We have many articles that are incomplete or stubs. You could also go around fixing spelling mistakes or small edits like that. Jellotalk 21:29, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

To Undo or Not To Undo?

Should we undo the edits PAK Man made to the Pokémon pages until a descision has been made? --Landfish7 00:18, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

No, just leave them alone for now. Jellotalk 00:19, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

An image edit.

Excuse me, I'm a terribly-new user, and I'm still iffy on Wikilanguage.

Today, I came across the Metapod page, and noted a bit of an image issue, where the accepted image was correct, but terribly small. In contrast, another image was suggested of ample size, but of incorrect colours. Perhaps a compromise can be met that will benefit us all. I took the liberty of editing the colours of the larger image, in order to match the smaller image. I believe that is enough to consider the image appropriate for use, but of course, not only did I note an user needs permission, I also would have no idea as to how one could... er. Change it. Heheheh. ; m ;

[1] Here is the image, uploaded on my Tinypic account. Could this perhaps solve the image problem?

Erufuun 17:09, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks. I believe I've done something wrong. I added the image into the archives, but I'm unaware as to how to place the image in the article itself. - Erufuun 08:17, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. I moved your image to the correct name, so all it has to do is update on this side. Jellotalk 08:33, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello

Hello, Jello. My name is The Pokémon Master. I joined Bulbapedia a few days ago and really want to get involved with things here. I'm all ready familiar with Wiki coding/formatting, since I am a moderator on the Kingdom Hearts Wikia. I do have one question, however, and I'd appreciate an answer if you are able to provide it. I don't know how familiar you are with Template:XmasInuse, but for some reason, the coding doesn't appear to be working as it should (see Kamitsure and compare it to the template page as an example). If you know how to fix it, please do so, or, if nothing is wrong, please teach me how to use it properly. Sorry to sound so demanding and to bother you, by the way. Enjoy the rest of your day! - The Pokémon Master 17:49, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm looking at it right now to come up with a fix. You're not doing anything wrong. Jellotalk 17:51, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

All right, thanks. - The Pokémon Master 17:53, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

PLEASE!!!

Find me something to help with!!! I feel like I made to many edits on my user page lately. So, what can I help with?--Pika3323 21:58, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

There are always things to edit. Try: Category:Stubs, Category:Articles needing improvement, Special:WantedPages Jellotalk 22:01, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
I've looked through them, nothing... should there be pages about guide books? (The ones made by nintendo telling you how to beat the game.--Pika3323 12:22, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
You can try looking for something here. Pikiwyn talk 12:58, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Ah, so that's where they are. Can't searching something here be more like google?--Pika3323 19:49, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
Sift through the categories, that's your best bet at finding something. Those categories I gave you above are huge, I find it hard to believe you can't edit anything from there. Also, when you are searching pressing the search button instead of the go button might give you some results. You should try to edit an area that you're good at. Jellotalk 19:52, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
SO... what is this? "Magmar (02-025" they are the most common in Special:WantedPages--Pika3323 12:01, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
They're Battrio pages. Umeko is the one who's done pretty much all of them. So it would be best to leave it to her. Jellotalk 17:25, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Unova Cities/Towns

Shouldn't we leave the bad picture tag on those articles since the articles should have a full city view like the other regions? --HoennMaster 02:59, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

That's really hard to do, there is currently no way of getting flat, full view maps of the cities. We're going to have to use screenshots for now. Jellotalk 03:24, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

Template question

This feels a bit like deja vu, but I was wondering what the guide lines were for making a template main spaced? Is it the same as user tag templates where at least two admins need to verify it? I've seen you and others work on templates then once they were satisfactory, they were main spaced. I wasn't able to find anything in the rules about it, just about testing the template, so I figured I'd ask you. :) Thanks!♥ Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:02, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

There's nothing stopping you from creating a template in the template namespace. To be safe, you should ask an admin about it. Most of the time, users make and test out the templates in their userspace and show the finished product to an admin, and once they approve it, it gets mainspaced. Jellotalk 04:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Well, alright then. Earlier I happened to make a test template under my user space for the zones in the PokéPark, but I wanted to make sure it was good enough to be added to the main space. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:11, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
It looks good to me, though it needs a bit of tweaking to get the roundy corners appear nicely on the bottom entries. You can mainspace it if you'd like and we can make changes later if we need to. Great job as always :D Jellotalk 04:16, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, Jello. I attempted what you suggested but when editing the "connected zones" section I was unsuccessful at making zone 1 un-roundy when there are two zones listed, and I've reached my user space limit for the day (at least in my time zone). Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:34, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
No problem. If it's for the mainspace, don't worry about going over the limit, there's leniency for that. Feel free to edit until you are satisfied with it. No need to ask me either when you're ready to move the template either, I trust you. :D Jellotalk 04:43, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
D'aw, thanks Jello. I really appreciate all the effort you've put into helping me. :) I'll get to work on the template. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:55, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
