I am wondering if normal users are permitted to add the "Contents" box, as well as the "spoiler" box for the purpose of listing archives, to the top of their talk pages as you have done. Also, may I move old discussions to my archives per section, assuming they are complete, and that I only make a new archive page when the current one has filled up? Or am I to wait until my whole talk page has filled up itself, and then move all of the discussion content to a new archive? This is just to make sure. Thank you for any clarification. <span style="color:#64A8FF;">&nbsp; → &nbsp; <span style="font-family:Calibri;"><span style="color:#006FFF;">Zelkova</span> &nbsp; <span style="color:#64A8FF;"><small>(Talk)</small></span></span> &nbsp;</span> 19:51, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

:Sure, you can make whatever you like to list your archives. As for moving old discussions, you should wait until your whole talk page fills up and move it (I saw that you copy and pasted yours, which wasn't the correct way to do it. It's supposed to be moved to preserve the history of the page.) <span style="color:red">—<small>♥</small></span> <b><span style="color:orange;">Jello</span><span style="color:#3FA9D0;">talk</span></b> 19:54, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

::Alright, I was only confused because the Talk page policy says "By simply copying and pasting the text, or by moving small sections at a time, it breaks the time line of the edit history". Although, I suppose I'd need permission to move pages in order to accomplish this reasonably? As for the talk page layout: thanks, I'll clean mine up over time, as I don't want to clutter up the Recent Changes (which I'm probably doing now).

Revision as of 20:15, 21 May 2011

Hi! Please, for God's sake, if you see me on the RC, let me answer on my on own talk page before butting in! Common courtesy. Thank you.

94!!!

Wow, i just made my first (not including failed one) whole page! can you review it and see if its ok? 94. Thanks! --Rsrdaman 02:39, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, Generation I glitch Pokémon that can only be obtained via Gameshark don't get articles. Also, a tip - if it says that a page has been deleted when you are creating it, you should ask before creating it. It may have been deleted because it was not notable. About adding trivia's

Hi, this is about that revert that you did on Caitlin's article. If it specifically says not to add trivia then why is there still some there? Are you going to remove all of them then? Or are you just saying that because you don't want my own one there?Blueknightex 07:37, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Do not add trivia, it doesn't say not to have it at all.—★Pika3323 09:54, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
You're taking this way out of hand. I don't appreciate snippy attitude. I'm only doing my job and I can't help it if people don't read the top notice that's there on every single page you edit. Your trivia was pointless anyway since there are other parts of the trivia that repeat the same thing you said anyway. Good day. Jellotalk 17:34, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
I am not being snippy or 'taking this out of hand'. Please stop it. I was only asking you a question why my edit has been reverted. Remember what theCode of Conduct says "Do not insult them, demean them..." I wasn't even insulting you. You don't have to call my trivia pointless. At least tell me that without accusing me of being 'snippy'. Not looking for a fight please. Just asking a question. Never mind. An admin has explained to me why no more trivia should be added. Have a nice day.. :( Blueknightex 07:09, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
You were being snippy with everyone you interacted with, and what you left on my talk page was snippy. Before you throw the Code of Conduct in someone's face, maybe you should read what you write as well. I have no business starting fights with anyone but when someone comes at me with an attitude like yours, especially after I went out of my to kindly tell you in my edit summary why your edit was reverted in the first place. I didn't even have to do that, because it clearly, in bold says to not add trivia, yet you did exactly that and when you were reverted, you started giving attitude to other people. So, that is taking things out of hand. When you are repeating information that's already there, it IS pointless, I'm not even insulting you so please don't take it the wrong way. Have a good day. Thank you for sending me the message. I already knew that pokémon was spelled with a accent; I'm French. The reason I didn't use it was because my laptop keyboard got stuck on a few keys. All better now. By the way, on that subject, you shouldn't be telling a few people how to spell if you're not going to tell all of them. The reason I didn't do the links was because I didn't know how. - mrcook9

You're welcome. I thought since you were new, it would help out in the future and you could avoid having other users tell you the same thing over again. Most of the things I told you are common mistakes made by new users. If I notice it, I do tell users about it. By the way, the green character palette at the bottom has the "é" character available, even if you are unable to type it, so that should help you out. (And to keep the conversation in one place, please reply on your talk page if the conversation started there.) Thanks. Jellotalk 15:18, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Userpage stuff

Hey Jello. :D Probably not something you wanted to hear, but I thought I'd ask before I get in trouble. ^^; I'm going to seperate my Game runs (like Nuzlockes) and my game teams because the page is getting long. Would it be alright if I create the userpage, then get rid of the data that I added, or will I have to go one day at a time? Littlmiget123 23:54, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you'll just have to go through the one edit a day route. If I make an exception for you, I have to make one for everyone, which I can't do, so I'm really sorry. Jellotalk 01:10, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Of course, I understand! ^-^ Don't worry about it, I'll just save the data to my computer and put it up at a later date. Thanks for answering! :D Littlmiget123 01:12, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Userpage edit block

Soooo I followed the rules, and now I can't edit my userpage? --×Rsrdaman× 16:54, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Apparently, you didn't. The rule is "one userspace edit per day" but you edited it twice a day. That's why your userpage has been protected. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 17:16, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
I wasn't aware that creating a new page was considered an edit of a different page. --×Rsrdaman× 17:43, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Note that the banner doesn't say userpage it says userspace. This means anypage you create or edit with User:Rsrdaman at the beginning. This is why it is blocked. --Pokemaster97 18:25, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
"Currently, the limit on userpage editing is ONE edit per person per day." You made 2 edits. If you need me to be any more clearer, please let me know. Jellotalk 18:29, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

PERSONAL CONTENT

What do you mean by that? The only personal thing I made was my real first name then things about Pokémon ! - unsigned comment from Super-Charizard (talkcontribs)

It means that you're not allowed to edit your talkpage with Personal Content because the talkpage is for communication purposes only. --KayKay|Chat to me! 02:49, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
From the Userspace policy: "Treating their talk page as an area for personal content (a two sentence blurb is fine provided you don't keep editing it excessively; posting teams or usertags on your talk page is not)" You added huge paragraphs about yourself. Talk pages are for discussion about Bulbapedia only. On that note, please also use the preview button before you save your edit. It's right next to the "save page" button. Don't forget to sign your comments on talk pages with ~~~~ as well. Jellotalk 02:54, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

BIG THANKS !

Okay,but when do I get to edit Userspace ?Super-Charizard 03:19, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

When you've made enough edits to actual articles (don't ask how many, it's a secret) and when you become autoconfirmed. Jellotalk 03:26, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

PROTECTION

Although rumor alone,Ash's Squirtle was set to evolve in the Unova League by a japanese site that has Squirtle glowing white. Please protect Ash's Squirtle's page to prevent gun jumpers that may have heard of this.- unsigned comment from Super-Charizard (talkcontribs)

Um, no I highly doubt it. People make up stuff all the time. Don't believe everything you see, even if it's from a "Japanese" site. Jellotalk 05:35, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Check it's page,I made a mistake !

Reverted EDITS BY SUPER-CHARIZARD

I edited it and you REVERTED it !?Why !? - unsigned comment from Super-Charizard (talkcontribs)

Because you removed most of the information. The outdated notice was because there was nothing for Generation V. I don't know why you went ahead and rewrote a perfectly good history with the wrong link templates and formatting. Jellotalk 17:17, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
okay,wise-guy,show me how to write an article,do it ! Super-Charizard 17:27, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
I suggest you read the Manual of Style and Link templates. Jellotalk 17:30, 21 May 2011 (UTC)

Talk Page Layout and Archiving by Section

I am wondering if normal users are permitted to add the "Contents" box, as well as the "spoiler" box for the purpose of listing archives, to the top of their talk pages as you have done. Also, may I move old discussions to my archives per section, assuming they are complete, and that I only make a new archive page when the current one has filled up? Or am I to wait until my whole talk page has filled up itself, and then move all of the discussion content to a new archive? This is just to make sure. Thank you for any clarification.   →   Zelkova   (Talk)   19:51, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
