So I heard some things... File:Ani258MS.gif
Putting all branches in all members of a branched evolution line is not the way things are done at many Pokémon sites. Serebii doesn't do it, Bulbapedia doesn't do it, I could go on and on. Maybe you ought to lay off licking (or should I say "lieking") Mudkips--who knows what's in their scales?!--and actually read the manual of style and notability requirements before making another snap judgement.--Shiningpikablu252 22:53, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
- Using "Find" and searching for the string "evolv" (which will catch evolving and evolve), I only found a guideline covering the anime. If most of the rest of the population think inclusion of the forks are a mistake, I have no problem with the changes being removed. I also did not anticipate anyone becoming seriously upset by the change because content was only added, in a similar format to an already existing article, rather than content replaced or article style broken in a new way. Its a simple revert, its not like I templated out the evolutionary lines or anything major in terms of reformatting.
- There was once a much more detailed explanation of [] including screenshots. Unfortunately when an article in a wiki has been deleted for more than a short period of time, all traces (except administrator?) of it end up gone from even the user contribution history. I also included information on the character set used to store strings in Pokemon, and how one could search memory for the pokemon's name, etc etc.. it was a lot more clear than the brief description in the talk page. Oh well ~!!!
Gen III Viewer Tool
Hey, Iliekmudkips, I've read in some talk pages that you once worked, or intended to work, in a tool to dump all information of a Trainer's Party for Gen III Games. I've recently run into the same kind of idea, mostly because I see many tools for creation of ROM hacks, but none for editing of actual save data. Just wondering if you actually finished (and if so, where is it) and if you think there may be public (ie.: gamer) interest in such a tool. I mean, there has to be a reason I can't find any party editor, or at least a view tool, for Gen III. Thanks! --Solovino 03:16, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
