By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Pokémon D/P/Pt Save

Seeing as you are uploading map data for various places in Sinnoh and the only way to create maps is to use the emulator DeSmuME and splice together multiple screenshots using a camera code, mind if I have the save so that way I can create images too? --Wildgoosespeeder 22:27, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi, it's actually more simple than that, for me, at least. All the maps I uploaded were created and prepared by myself using a regular No$GBA emulator and the Paint program. What I did was actually to place the player character where I wanted him (walk through walls cheat helps here), then print screen the map around him and paste it into Paint, where I could crop and splice the different maps together. I have a fair bit of experience in this area, but one frustrating thing about this is that I still do not have the requisite hack to force outdoor maps into parallel perspective for map creation. If you take a look at my uploads, you'll see the only Generation IV-related uploads I've made are those of the inside of buildings. That's pretty much there is to it, but thanks for asking and have a nice day. Haxorus 02:42, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
That is not what I asked. I asked for the game save so I can help you along. Plus I have the Action Replay code to force the game into parallel perspective. Just make sure the Pokétch is on the calculator app, enter 4, and hold L (the emulated L button on the DS) when entering a map that will change the perspective (like going into or out of a building or cave):
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl code:

da000000 02000002
b21c4d28 00000000
b0000004 00000000
d7000000 0000150e
da000000 00112f56
d3000000 00000000

d2000000 00000000

My, thanks so much. Just what I needed! Thanks a million. And apologies about the misunderstanding, I take it you want the link to the save download for D/P? Note that I have only so far used No$GBA rather than DeSmuME, so if you don't have No$GBA you'll have to download the emulator (I'll also be more than glad to supply you with a link). Now you get it! Please? --Wildgoosespeeder 04:08, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
Sure, why not? Replied via Bulbapedia e-mail. Incidentally, I have to add that the cheat you gave me has also been extremely useful for forcing the interior of buildings into 3D perspective. Thanks a lot once more. Have a nice day, Haxorus 15:25, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Non-Authentic Maps

The maps that you tagged as bad for not being authentic are acceptable placeholders and do not need to be tagged as {{bad image}}s. The images were created by using ripped tile sets from the games & re-building the map manually via RPG Maker. While, yes, the images should be replaced by proper screenshot-based composites, they're certainly not of the high priority that {{bad image}} is meant for. Thanks, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 02:13, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

I see, thanks. So does that mean they can remain until and if someone manages to produce authentic in-game maps? Cheers, Haxorus 02:14, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Copy-pasted to User talk:Kogoro. Cheers, Haxorus 02:20, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, they do not need to be tagged and can remain as they are until someone happens to upload "authentic" versions. Also, there is no need to reply on my talk page. I will be keeping an eye on your talk page for any replies, so just reply over here. Thanks, - Kogoro - Talk to me - 03:08, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
OK, I see. Thanks for your clarification and have a nice day! Cheers, Haxorus 03:10, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Just as a side note, I thought something was fishy about those maps. I thought those were maps from Pokémon Platinum since they don't quite appear like that in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. --Wildgoosespeeder 03:18, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
To clarify, that's right, they're not from Platinum either. The trees in Platinum are darker than that, and the grass isn't nearly as flat (but does have a more squarish design than that in D/P). Cheers, Haxorus 03:22, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Struggle

Not sure if you can do it, but think you could look at some of the older Pokémon games with a Gameshark/Action Replay and see if they have a description for Struggle? Really doubt Stadium might even have a description of it but the others likely do. Thank you if you can, if not then I guess I'll try to get to those descriptions in my own time. :) Frozen Fennec 03:52, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Good question. Per your request, I hacked the move onto my Rayquaza and was able to see the description, which thus reads "Used only when all PP are gone. Also hurts the user a little", the same as FRLG. This was for Emerald, and I would suspect it also applies to RS. I also hacked that move into Crystal, and it reads the same as in Emerald, only without the part about recoil. Like with Emerald, I would suspect the description also applies to Gold and Silver. I'll go and add them in now. Cheers, Haxorus 04:11, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I was in a bit of a rush just now. To clarify, the (GS)C description ends with "exhausted", not "gone". Cheers, Haxorus 04:13, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
Ah, thank you so much. :D All that's left is the Stadium games, Colosseum and XD. Have a great week! Frozen Fennec 04:16, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
My pleasure! You too. ;-) Cheers, Haxorus 04:17, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Layout templates

Hey, can you make sure that you replace the moz-borders with {{roundy}}s in your layout tables? Example. It means that people on browsers other than Firefox get roundy on it too. --SnorlaxMonster 12:57, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

No need to worry about this Haxorus, I'd probably already fixed your error.--ForceFire 13:10, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
