== Which apostrophe to use ==
Hello. I suppose this is quite a minor issue to discuss, so I'll be brief. It looks to me that in game, the more curly, typographic apostrophe (’), as opposed to the straight, typewriter apostrophe ('), is used. Is the reason you changed it that maybe in Bulbapedia, we just use the typewriter apostrophe? Thanks! —[[User:The Sackinator|The Sackinator]] ([[User talk:The Sackinator|talk]]) 03:48, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Glik!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Den Zen 16:50, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Clothing

I noticed you're heavly editing the Clothing page. I would like to also contribute I'm not sure what kind of sorting you're using to organized the page. Could you please look at the Talk:Clothing and answer me there? --Sekuiyatalk 16:51, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

James Turner

What is your source dat James Turner made Goomy and Sliggoo? --Altruis でんき 18:08, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Just a few discussions on /vp/. Like I said, not reliable. Glik (talk) 18:11, 2 January 2014 (UTC)

Lumiose Trainers

Not trying to be argumentative with people, just trying to figure things out. Why are some trainers noted under the locations section and others are further down the page under a Trainers section? Drake Clawfang (talk) 22:35, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Hmm, hadn't noticed them. Per Project Locations, all Trainers should go beneath places of interest, items and Pokémon (Project Towns and Cities doesn't mention Trainers in its structure, so Locations takes over). The restaurant Trainers should be put under their own headers under the Trainer section. And that one Lumi Cab Driver, who's using the wrong template. Glik (talk) 22:46, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Biologies

Hi! This is specifically about Starly eating the berries from Grotle. With the way we're doing biologies now, references are extremely important. We really shouldn't have anything mentioned at all that doesn't have a reference or a picture on the page. In the future, please try to track down the source of the information specifically or add a picture showing it. Thanks! Crystal Talian 20:59, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Aight. I don't touch Biology much, since I know the format was changed recently and there's still a number of pages that haven't been changed. I just saw your summary saying you needed a reference, so did a quick check; the picture on Grotle's page wasn't used on another page and I didn't see it mentioned on Ash's Torterra, so didn't have a clue where it came from. And I didn't think pictures (especially one centering more on a different Pokémon) would be wanted in the section. Glik (talk) 21:32, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Revert

Why did you revert my edits, the Scraggy line, Reshiram and Zekrom's types are no longer unique. --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:02, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Because it doesn't matter if they're no longer unique, the trivia point is solely about the introduction of new unique combinations. It's like saying Generation I introduced the most Normal-types, including those later changed to Fairy; the trivium has nothing to do with what happened to them later, and adding it only confuses the point. Glik (talk) 02:12, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Oh yes, it didn't matter about type combinations so only when introduced right? --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:14, 24 January 2014 (UTC)
Yes. Glik (talk) 02:18, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Proper nouns

In regards to the TCG, both Series and Era are proper nouns, and should be capitalized at all times. This is, however, different from the anime, where series is not capitalized. MaverickNate 03:47, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

My bad. I thought I saw the Original Series box use lowercase, so I assumed, it being the first, that it wasn't capitalized like all the following Series. Does that mean the TCG Releases template needs to have Era capitalized? Glik (talk) 04:02, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

A little note

Just so you know, it is probably a better idea to post to someone's talk page if it seems they aren't looking at the edit summaries. A new user may not think to look there, or they may not have even gone on the recent changes page to see the summaries. They could very well be refreshing the talk page to see if someone responds to their post and not even looking at the recent changes. Just something to keep in mind. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 02:47, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

I was actually making a message to them after the second time; I checked to make sure no one beat me to it (since I'm rather slow on a phone), when I saw they added it back and did a quick revert. And I now see you have indeed beaten me to the punch. Glik (talk) 02:56, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

Geez, I always forget those pronouns... thanks for catching them. You'd better keep watching, with my track record... haha. --FireGambit (talk) 22:17, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

No prob. Glik (talk) 22:24, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Yo

Mind if I help add PMD1 move descriptions? I know you've been adding them over the past couple of months, so I thought I'd ask first to make sure I wouldn't be interfering with anything.--Cold (talk) 00:14, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Nah, go ahead. I've been keeping track of items found in the dungeons, which stretches out dungeon crawls a lot, so getting more moves takes me a long time. glikglak 00:49, 12 March 2014 (UTC)

Viviyon name origin

I added the ll note so people can understand why the "y" is there. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 17:55, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Yamitora1 brought up the name pronunciation on the talk page a while back and asked if it was notable. Funktastic pretty much said "Not really, that's how French works" and I agree. We already note that papillon is a French word, I don't think we should have to tell people how the French pronounce their letters (and if I recall correctly, "ll" is actually a different letter from "l" in romance languages, so it'd probably turn into a grammar lesson). Plus, the way you put it looked like it was saying there's an English sound in a Japanese word. glikglak 18:41, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
I meant why the "y" is in "Viviyon". Pikachu Bros. (talk) 18:53, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
...That's what I just said. The "yon" sound comes from papillon, which doesn't need further explanation. The trademarked name isn't actually an English word, it's a Japanese word spelled with Roman characters; it uses whichever letters it needs to to get the intended sound. That's why there's a y in it: the Japanese name uses characters that make a "yon" or "yah" sound or something like that, which is there because of papillon. glikglak 19:11, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Mother 3 and other franchises

Game Freak did infact develop both Mother and Mother 2, more infamously known as EarthBound, under the company name of Ape Inc. Regardless, Both Pokemon and Mother/EarthBound are first, foremost and cheifly Nintendo owned and/or created franchises, so shouldn't any native copyrights be valid? Do we have to avoid talking about Mario, too?- unsigned comment from Hwrdjacob (talkcontribs)

As I said in the edit summary, Game Freak didn't have a part in Mother 3. Staff have previously removed copyrighted material from origin sections, including the Mother series (see Mewtwo's history).
Also, if you forget to sign a comment the first time, you're supposed to use the {{unsigned|User}} template instead of signing afterwards, as it messes up the time stamps. glikglak 23:35, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Even Nintendo Copyrights?--Hwrdjacob (talk) 00:44, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

And furthermore, Game Freak doesn't really matter at all when it comes to copyrights. They only have a small fraction of the claims to Pokemon and Mother: Nintendo owns everything about the two. Therefore, it seems stupid to me that we cannot cross reference something related to Pokemon AND owned by the same company, who referenced themselves in the first place. Smash Bros. would not be allowed on this wiki using this logic. - unsigned comment from Hwrdjacob (talkcontribs)

First, I don't have the time nor the inclination to find out which copyrights are held by Nintendo and which are held by developers. I don't care if you think it's dumb; I didn't make the rule, bring it up with the staff if you don't like it. Second, Smash Bros. is not even remotely like putting copyrighted characters as origin inspiration: Smash Bros has Pokémon properties in it. Finally, use the preview button more often. It's annoying to have to keep retyping a message because you found a typo in your last message or you forgot to sign. glikglak 01:14, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Ok, are we supposed to ignore the various references to other Nintendo owned franchises? Like the Mario game in the Department store, the NES,GCN,Wii, etc., and of course the painfully blatant origin of Excadrill? It's not like Mewtwo where it was broad strokes; the resemblance is astonishing. What about the move Round? Or here's a good question: why is Pulseman on the wiki? If Pokemon references something, it references something. Oh, and there's a whole page dedicated to references to popular culture, almost none of which are owned by Nintendo. Hwrdjacob (talk) 08:07, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

What part of "in origin sections" do you not understand? There are some pages where we're allowed to speculate some; species pages are not one of them. I reiterate, I do not care if you don't like it. You're not going to convince me that I should undo my revision. Staff have said don't put copyrighted characters of other franchises/corporations/whatever in Pokémon's origin sections without solid evidence, the Mother series included. If you want them to see if your opinion is enough evidence, bring it up like another user did on Crystal Talian's talk page. glikglak 12:57, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Revert on volbeat breeding learnset

I added lightscreen, but you reverted it because "it's not an egg move" but i don't what that means. When the volbeat comes out of the egg at lvl 5 he has that move and the Dustox gets it by lvl up. So what is an egg move?, btw this is in sapphire. Faito (talk) 05:37, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

An Egg move is a move that a Pokémon learns through breeding, though for the learn lists we narrow it down to moves it can only learn through breeding. Volbeat can already learn Light Screen through TM16. glikglak 11:47, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
Ahh, got it, thanks for clearing that out. I understand :), i will check if the move is listed on TM or By lvl up before adding it to Breeding. Thanks again Faito (talk) 15:27, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry

I understand the problem, but I'm not going to change it. Please hear me out.

I'm not from the United States. I'm from the United States of America. I'm not accusing you or anyone else on Bulbapedia of this, but I'm sick of people (mostly self-righteous foreigners who think my countrymen are completely oblivious of the outside world) trying to drop "America" from the name, or referring to my people as "U.S. Americans" because there happens to be two continents that have America in their name.

Referring to the USA as "the United States" without "America" on the end isn't any more specific or accurate than just saying "America". The official, full name of Mexico (Estados Unidos Mexicanos) essentially translates to the United States of Mexico in English. Likewise, the USA is referred to as the Estados Unidos Americanos in Spanish. When Mexico won its independence, they modeled their government after ours, right down to the name. Either way you slice it, there's potential confusion.

None of the other countries in North or South America have America in their name. Brazilians, Mexicans, Canadians, etc. do not and have never identified as Americans. They identify as Brazilians, Mexicans, Canadians, etc., or in the past, as subjects of whatever empire they were a part of.

The USA was free to call itself what it wanted, America, long before any of them won their own independence or it was given to them.

So you can either ignore it, or change the official tag to United States of America. I will not bend to this extreme, ridiculous example of political correctness. If it means I get disciplined or even permanently banned, so be it. I'm tired of my people's identity being stolen from us.

Steven tag battle

I couldn't find anything referring to the fact that if all three of the players pokemon faint but not stevens that you lose the battle should this be stated in white out or somewhere else--Just a simple edit (talk) 20:15, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Ah. You put that at the end of the wrong sentence; your edit was saying that the Gen IV tag battles had that happen, which looks confusing when there's no mention of the Steven battle acting differently. I'll put it in. glikglak 20:38, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Sorry I mean the grass type pokemon he caught

The one he caught in honnen when he thabk his grass type pokemon to safe him from beedrill. --Terryberry94 (talk) 18:43, 28 July 2014 (UTC)

Your Correction To My Edit

Have you watched the episode? I'm pretty sure that's what Jessie says; you'd just have to listen closely. The only other one it could've been was Piloswine, but I'm pretty sure it was Mamoswine. Watch it again and then get back to me on it! WATERWARRIOR67 (talk) 13:02, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

I don't have the time nor the means to watch it. The requirements for it to be true are too fantastical for me to take your word for it. Try and get someone else to verify. glikglak 13:09, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
I can. I just verified it, and she clearly says Piloswine, not Mamoswine... ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 13:10, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Quick heads-up

I noticed you used the {{Preview button}} template. Make sure to subst: it, much like you would for the welcome template. So, it'd be {{subst:Preview button}}. Thanks! ht14 02:51, 2 October 2014 (UTC)

XY049

There was a summary on XY049 already. What was the problem? Thank you - unsigned comment from Thenmark2 (talkcontribs)

No there isn't. glikglak 01:45, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

yes, http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Japanese_titles_for_49th,_50th_XY_episodes_unveiled says \ XY049: A group of children attempt to get a Lapras which got hurt in a forest back to the sea. Bonnie decides to help them too, but then Team Rocket shows up! - unsigned comment from Thenmark2 (talkcontribs)

And? The episode hasn't aired. Two sentences isn't enough to start comparing things you haven't seen. glikglak 02:07, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Phantom Forces

Starting with the Furious Fists expansion, cards are not legal to play in standard format until 3 weeks after their official release date. All of the Phantom Forces cards are only legal starting November 26. MaverickNate 21:26, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

...Crap. Shows how good I am at keeping up with stuff. glikglak 21:31, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
It's fine. It's a weird change, and people are still getting used to it (which is one of the reasons why I decided we should start providing that sort of information).
Additionally, my first message is intended to simply be urgent and to the point, before you made it any further. Just wanted to say that in case it was thought to be something else (like bossy or mean; =p). MaverickNate 21:34, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Nah, I got it. You want me to start undoing it? glikglak 21:39, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Yes please! MaverickNate 21:46, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Roger. And before I potentially screw up again, Trainer Kits HGSS and earlier: okay to make redirects for the cards and add them to the release info? glikglak 21:50, 5 November 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, that'd be fine. MaverickNate 22:56, 5 November 2014 (UTC)

Roxanne quote

Which game are you playing? Because I'm literally playing right now and that's exactly what she says to me... could be a version difference? ----samm :D 23:43, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

That'd be a pretty weird version difference. I've got North American AS. The text I'm getting is matching up with the RSE text, like most of her others; yours reminds me of something from DPPt. glikglak 23:48, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
After doing a quick Google, someone else claims that the quote is made if you talk to her with the Event Shiny Beldum in your party. Which is why I must of seen the text immediately following the battle when I spoke to her again. It was definitely said because I wrote it word for word from my 3DS haha. ----samm :D 00:00, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
Well that's a strange and small thing for an event mon to trigger. We'll have to check other Steven-related characters' quotes with and without it. glikglak 00:09, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Darmanitan

Go to the Darmanitan page. There is something wrong with the TM/HM section I can't figure out. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:07, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Fixed. Somebody put learnlist/tm6 in before it was made, apparently. You just have to put "xy=n" at the end of the header template to get the contest headers to pop in. glikglak 03:23, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:31, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Zorua/Zoruark and Deoxys

I disagree with you. Zorua required a fateful encounter Celebi to get it in its first appearance in a game, which you could only get through events, meaning it was event exclusive. Sure, it could be bred, but an event was required to get it in the first place. Zoroark also needed event Pokémon to get it in its first appearance. Even the trivia on Zorua's page agrees with me "Zorua and Zoroark are the only two non-legendary Pokémon to ever have once been event-exclusive". ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:27, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm gonna disagree with that trivium. You could get a Zorua in B2W2 and could thus trade it back to BW. You could argue that that makes Zorua still event-exclusive for BW, but I'd be willing to bet there are events from Gen III of a Kanto or Johto mon that does the same thing for RSE. glikglak 19:56, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
And I am correct; Bulbasaur could only be obtained in RSE through trading with a later-released game or an event. glikglak 21:58, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
But Bulbasaur and the other Kanto starters started off as non-event exclusive. They were available in Red/Blue/Green/Yellow. Unlike Zorua and Zoroark, who started off as event exclusive in the first game they were introduced in. By using your logic, you could say that every Pokémon you can't get in a game without trading or events are event exclusive. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:54, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
That's why I'm saying Zorua's not event-exclusive. It became readily available (more so than it already was through breeding) only one game later, so it's only "exclusive" to a single pair of games, just as is Bulbasaur and probably dozens more. But that's not what we mean by event-exclusive. Because it was Zorua's first game I feel is being too semantic (especially given that the whole event-exclusive label was supposed to be used for mons that are always event-exclusive, i. e. Mythical Pokemon). glikglak 11:06, 11 December 2014 (UTC)
Greetings. I happened to be over at ArcToraphim's page and have given my opinion there. While I can't call it an "official ruling", per se, I covered all of the availability that you both have covered. Because it was available without the need for Memory Link in B2/W2 (others of N's required it to unlock their appearances), I would say that while it's an in-game event, it's one that happens every single time you restart the file. The question therefore is whether you consider an in-game event as event exclusive. I don't. Therefore, I say no only because of B2/W2; otherwise, yes, the ones in B/W require imports from Gen. IV. CycloneGU (talk) 20:42, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

About movie 1

"What's the point of saying we don't know if it was edited?": what I meant is that once they decided to add the ten-minute prologue (instead of starting the movie with Ash battling Raymond the pirate trainer) they probably edited out some datails from the movie proper that became redundant since the prologue already explained Mewtwo's backstory. In fact, if one watches the three Mewtwo episodes and then the movie without the prologue, he will find the episodes confusing since the movie proper doesn't explain the unexplained things in those episodes. I wish someone could translate the various entries like this one from Takeshi Shudo's blog so that we know what he said about the movie. --Abcd (talk) 16:47, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

It takes me awhile to do stuff during the day. And pointing out the blog on the talk page would be better than hoping someone just happens by it. glikglak 18:26, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

ORAS demo islands

With the information you gave me previously and encounter data floating around the net, I've figured out that apparently the guide book's numbering for the different Mirage spots follows the location's index number (Mirage caves 1-8 correspond to locations 508-515 (respectively), for example). Using all that, I've managed to confidently determine which of the ORAS Mirage spots correspond to which of the ORAS demo islands. There's just one thing that's unclear to me...

For the outside area of the island in the first demo adventure (before you enter the cave where Matt and Tabitha are), it's not clear where that corresponds to in ORAS. I've tentatively hypothesized that the Mirage Caves might have a brief outer area where you initially land, except that in ORAS perhaps none of these places have grass (as the places I'm looking at don't have encounter tables). Is that so, or does that outside area in the demo correspond to somewhere else?

(I also wonder about the outside areas (at the beginning and the end) of the secret Aqua/Magma mission, and the outside of the Expert battle island. Though those places don't have grass, I'm still curious.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:31, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Caves have outside landing areas, yes. And, as I recall, they don't have any grass (at work attm, so can't verify). The first mission Cave matches up except for the added patches. Haven't managed to get the last secret mission, but the videos looked like Mirage Cave 5 (or whatever I said on the demo page). glikglak 20:16, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
Okay. Just knowing there are "landing areas" will let me add demo data correctly. The rest mostly just comes down to curiosity, which I can easily wait until I have ORAS to satisfy. Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:41, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Just a heads up + Forum issue

Just letting you know when you fix the lagging | at the end of templates (which is something I personally hate being there, so thank you heaps) you don't need to have | before closing the template, so you can just make |}} into }} --Spriteit (talk) 14:59, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

I know, but Nate's been leaving it on his revisions, so I don't know if he wants them for whatever reason. glikglak 15:04, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
Ah, okay then, fair enough, as far as I know it doesn't do anything, but I may be incorrect, just figured I might save you a little time if you were doing it by hand. --Spriteit (talk) 15:06, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
Also, Re:the issue you reported on forums what browser and version number of said browser are you using for Bulbapedia? --Spriteit (talk) 15:07, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
A mobile version of Chrome used on Androids, though I couldn't tell you which version. And I use the default skin; the last time I checked out the mobile skin, I couldn't even find the edit button. glikglak 15:19, 28 December 2014 (UTC)

User Page

Can I ask you a question? Why can't I edit my user page? I want to put user boxes on it but I can't. --RockinJack18 (talk) 17:22, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Creating a user page requires an account to have been around for so long/done so many edits. It's too prevent people from just making user pages without contributing to the 'pedia. glikglak 17:32, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

I have already contributed 5 edits to the pedia. How many do I need? --RockinJack18 (talk) 17:35, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Don't know. It's kept secret to weed out the people who'd just do the minimum and solely edit their user page. glikglak 17:36, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

I'm really not that type of person. I'm a Pokemon novice who is willing to help in any way he can ;). --RockinJack18 (talk) 17:39, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Then get crackin! If you're unsure on whether or not an edit you wish to make will be good, bring it up on the page's talk page. And don't forget to preview your edits to make sure they're doing what you want. glikglak 17:55, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

But where should I edit? All of the stubs and such are stuff I don't know about, and the others I feel like that if I edit them, they won't be as good --RockinJack18 (talk) 20:38, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Stubs aren't the only pages that need more info. Start with the stuff you do know about, like any games you have. glikglak 21:01, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

My Edit On Azalea Town won't save. Why not? --RockinJack18 (talk) 22:07, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Don't know what you mean, your Azalea Gym addition is there. Also, take a look at the list of link templates; Badges should be linked as {{Badge|Name}}. glikglak 22:14, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

And also, what should I do if the section is incomplete? --RockinJack18 (talk) 13:38, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

That just means that specific part of the page needs more info. glikglak 13:43, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
What template should I use b/c it says it is a Incomplete article now, when only a section is incomplete --RockinJack18 (talk) 13:46, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
If the tag says what info's missing, it doesn't matter where the tag is. glikglak 13:48, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

About meaning change

I mean, Japanese word カンテラ (meaning "a portable lanturn") is involved in Chandelure's name, so.. Maybe it's either corruption of the word chandelier, or combination of the word chandelier and カンテラ/Candela, and so forth. There are possibilities of such name origins, so.. That's how I edited that. Sorry if that confused you. Csrspirit (talk) 04:41, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

If カンテラ is a loanword from another language, there's not really a point in mentioning it in the section, since we mention the word it's derived from. glikglak 04:50, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Actually...

Some of them (prior evo lists) aren't even by that, having a couple of moves even out of that order sometimes. Of course, that's on lists of five or more; two I wouldn't even think to look for a level-up order. But yeah, I've been doing them alphabetically; I'm surprised there's no sorting on that table of any method for longer lists. CycloneGU (talk) 03:51, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

About Luxio's Voice Actor

I heard Luxio's voice when I saw the episode and I thought that was the same voice from the Diamond and Pearl series. I listened carefully by the way. Just like it was almost similar to Shinx's voice actor.--JasonL 18:14, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Well I'll see what I can try. --JasonL 23:58, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

Check Natochenny's Voice actor just to make sure.--JasonL (Talk)01:30, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Double check one of the episodes just to make sure Luxio's voice Actor is right.--JasonL (Talk)

Dawn's Quilava

How come it's not noticeable? Dawn's Quilava is the only Pokémon she has that is not in the Sinnoh Pokédex. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 23:56, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Because the anime doesn't stick to the game Pokédex(es?). glikglak 00:09, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Mirage Spots

Regarding this comment, I got updated information from a friend online whom I had no way of Streetpassing (he was surprised when I told him about his 146 Wonder Trades).

Further, when I figured this out today, the indication of 22 updates came in, and I ended up resetting without saving (I was testing something and forgot to save after catching Magby). I had to reconnect to again get 22 notices, and the island with Magby did not appear. The same thing I did twice more until a Munna island (or mountain, it gets both) appeared. Therefore, there IS A correlation to data being received with a connection to the Internet even if the connection is not required for Streetpass data; you must connect to download the data to the game, I find. CycloneGU (talk) 16:59, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

I'm not seeing the correlation. The Mirage spot would have to remain the same after not connecting to the internet for there to be one. glikglak 17:59, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
Oops, missed your reply.
I don't know why they shuffle, but the suspicion is that they may be chosen at random from passersby as well. I occasionally get Streetpass info, but only one at a time; I hit anywhere from 20-30 passes when I hit the Internet. I wonder if the data is stored and you can only connect (and then save) Internet data once a day, but if you don't save it forgets that you already connected to the Internet? Getting data from Streetpasses makes the most sense since friends aren't always online; in that case, it likely saves a whole bunch of data until midnight and then, on the new day, your first connect refreshes data. I have to try connections sometime just before and just after midnight to confirm this. CycloneGU (talk) 20:46, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
When you update StreetPass and SpotPass info through the Holo Caster, I'm pretty sure the data is saved right then, independent of your save file. If the spots are coming from Passerby (or Acquaintances? You get hundreds of Passerby hits a day but obviously not that many spots), then it'd make sense; Passerby data isn't stored after resets (it is if you merely disconnect however). glikglak 20:57, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
The data acquisition works like this:
  • You connect to the Internet (the only time you save automatically).
  • You change to the BuzzNav.
  • You click the mailbox.
If you save after this, you maintain exactly what you already have until midnight, and you can't download any more Mirage Spots ir data except from Streetpassing.
However, if you do not save, you return to having no extra Mirage Spots (just your one) and no mailbox data. You reconnect and the same amount of news becomes available. New Mirage Spots appear after you click the button.
I don't know why that happens, but it happens. And it's happened to me. I currently have a Ditto spot to build up some encounters with, so I saved the first cycle today; otherwise, I would have been shopping around for my Magby as that is, I think, my only one missing. I'll be shopping around for a missing TM or two after getting both Bikes. CycloneGU (talk) 21:06, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

Spell of the Unown

Why do you claim it doesn't say "Entei" whenever "Spell of the Unown" is shown? Take as an example the book cover, it says "Entei" below "Unown". If it's because of the title screen picture we have, it's incomplete as it was taken before the animation for the logo ended, here's the complete title screen. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 19:29, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

So it does. I thought the line on the book was just a fancy underscore. glikglak 21:26, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

In case you're wondering

That link seemed to be meh, haha. The specific link is here. Apparently, those with only one known Ability by the time of Generation III will have it as default, which is why Alakazam and Rapidash don't have a set Ability. This website also explains how certain Pokémon have genders. Let me know if you have any questions! ht14 02:47, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

I can't decipher moon runes, so I'll have to take your word for it. Can't imagine they had a fun time when Pokémon got second Abilities. glikglak 02:58, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
I can't read Japanese either, but I'm using the translations given by Bulbapedia and slowly piecing it together. For reference, the third section is Ability (とくせい), and the fourth is nature (せいかく). Still not entirely sure on the first two though. If you want, you can help out, haha. Speaking of second Abilities though, trivia point! Seadra only had Poison Point prior to Generation IV, and Kusaka decided to give the Seadra Yellow caught and released Sniper. This man's crazy. ht14 03:02, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Usertags

Can you help put some user tags on my page? --User:RockinJack18 is awesome 13:42, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Just browse through Category:Usertags and add what you want. If you can't find something, make it yourself with the {{User Template}}. glikglak 14:44, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Now my language is inside my favorite Pokemon. What do I do now? --User:RockinJack18 is awesome 12:47, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

You... you're not supposed to copy/paste the code. They're templates. glikglak 12:53, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
Well what do I do? --User:RockinJack18 is awesome 20:07, 17 February 2015 (UTC)

Which apostrophe to use

Thanks! —The Sackinator (talk) 03:48, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
