* To me, I am very extremely against the move until XY036 airs, as the Fletchinder in the movie could be a new one other than the Fletchling i.e. Ash has both Fletchling and Fletchinder at the same time. However, it has been moved. Raymond 06:14, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

Hope you're not working on classifying "side-effects"

Imma start work on the talk page to make a parseable table. --Raijinili (talk) 03:39, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

I'm currently just going through all the moves (alphabetically) to figure out which ones have side effects. I don't mind you helping out.--ForceFire 03:49, 5 January 2014 (UTC)
I'm up to Powder Snow >.>. I'm doing it a different way. --Raijinili (talk) 04:18, 5 January 2014 (UTC)

Recoil, user-stat lowering (Close Combat), and draining are not "additional effects". They might be called primary effects. Additional effects are generally those that are affected by Sheer Force, Shield Dust, and Serene Grace, and none of those are. --Raijinili (talk) 22:09, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

Replied on the talk page of Additional effects.--ForceFire 02:38, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Tacopill

Force Fire, Tacopill had made more than three userspace edits, will you warn this user about the userspace policy? Cinday123 (Talk) 02:49, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Old spellings for older moves

Force Fire, will you undo my edits since you said we are allowed to use new spellings in the anime, because we do not need old spellings. Cinday123 (Talk) 03:18, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

I would like to know why you yourself can't do the task. You can simply undo them by going to the history tab, find your edit and click the undo button next to it.--ForceFire 03:24, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

Archive protection

Hey, can you protect my talk page archive (talk page}? Thanks in advance. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 08:01, 17 January 2014 (UTC)

Item maniac in Generation VI

Force Fire, do an item maniac make a return in Generation VI or not? --Cinday123 (Talk) 10:28, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

I wouldn't know, I don't have the game. --ForceFire 11:02, 19 January 2014 (UTC)

Meta game trivia

This sort of trivia are unnotable as we are a wiki, not a strategy guide.
While this is usually practiced on other pages, there a few notable exceptions… 18 of them, to be exact. Each type's Characteristics section is basically a miniature Smogon, complete with popular moves, strategies, and evaluation of metagame effectiveness. Much of these Characteristics are theories based on metagame critique. To put it simply: Why are these here? Moves aren't analyzed like this, Pokémon pages don't get anything like this. So why the types, which on their own don't really provide much of an education into the metagame? Sorry to bug you, but I felt like raising the question. --TheVeryBest 08:14, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

This is something I've been wondering myself too, but never really bothered to bring up. I'll mention this to the other staff members and I'll have an answer afterwards.--ForceFire 01:58, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Mewtwo edit warring

There have been 10 edits on Mewtwo's Bio since yesterday arguing about who created it in the games, anime, etc. Help us, Forcey-wan Firobi; you're our only hope. --TheVeryBest 19:56, 23 January 2014 (UTC)

Anyone who's seen the movie or played the games should now who created Mewtwo in their respected mediums. A group of Scientist for the anime, and an unknown scientist in the games.--ForceFire 01:58, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Team Plasma

What was wrong with Team Plasma's article? Likewise that of the Team Plasma grunts?

Jdogno4 (talk) 09:07, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

There was nothing wrong with the pages in the first place. You just simply made unnecessary changes, there was nothing wrong with the grammar.--ForceFire 09:11, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Oy, what's the idea with locking the article page. - unsigned comment from Jdogno4 (talkcontribs)

I locked it as you keep adding those unnecessary changes. Did you read your talk page? cause it looks like you didn't. I will not repeat what is said on your talk page, as that pretty much sums it up.--ForceFire 06:10, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Archives editing and uploading

Looks like the Archives are once again locked due of upgrading the site, and I can't upload WTP_XY003.png picture that I found it. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/WTP_XY003_zps0a790145.png.html Would you add this picture, so I can add it on the episode XY003 and Who's That Pokémon? pages? Pikachu65 10:22, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Not sure if the archives are safe to edit/upload. Not sure if the upgrade is done yet. So just wait for a few days.--ForceFire 02:13, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Right. I found this! Can you tell me if it's an error or not? 'Cause I'm going to add it. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/SOFCJ-RawsPocketMonstersXY-09TVO1280x720x264AACmp4_snapshot_1557_20140206_141610_zps71125d92.png.html I've also noticed Bonnie and Serena were imitating Caterpie and Swadloon. We can't add this because it's a waste of time. Pikachu65 13:22, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
So... what's the error? You can't just expect me to magically know what I'm looking for.--ForceFire 13:37, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Alright now, it's Clemont's teeth, you can see the colors of Afternoon, right? And they are white, not in the colorization of Afternoon. You know what I mean. I guess adding Bonnie and Serena imitating Caterpie and Swadloon would be added, huh? Pikachu65 13:41, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Ehh, for me, it's not much of a big deal. So I'd say no. Also, not sure if you want to put the Serena and Bonnie thing as an error or if it is a trivial thing, because either way, it's not notable.--ForceFire 13:46, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Well, Clemont's teeth error would be notable (I mean white color in the colorization of afternoon?), but Bonnie and Serena imitating Caterpie and Swadloon would be added to the trivia, so it will do a trick here. Pikachu65 13:49, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Like I said, not a big deal. The Serena and Bonnie thing is not notable. The only reason we mention Pikachu doing imitations is because it is a series running thing that has been happening for a while. Bonnie and Serena doing it in one episode is not notable.--ForceFire 13:52, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes! They were doing this for fun, that's all. So this one http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/SOFCJ-RawsPocketMonstersXY-09TVO1280x720x264AACmp4_snapshot_1557_20140206_141610_zps71125d92.png.html is not a big deąl, really. Pokemon Conquest Moves

Hello. Not long before I posted this, I was adding tables to the various moves used in Pokemon conquest. However, I happened to find a website where they use images right from the game to show the area of effect moves have, such as this one here. Would it be preferred for me to stick to the tables being used now, or to upload these images and use them instead? Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:14, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Try bringing this up to Kogoro, as she's the Archive's Editor in Chief, so her input would be important. --ForceFire 02:13, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
Will do. Drake Clawfang (talk) 04:42, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Error Images

For the error images, is the staff aware about any of the pages with more than five error images? That way, if they are, I won't put in any tags telling them which page has over five. PattyMan 02:51, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Considering the fact there is over 800 episode episode page, I don't think the staff are keeping track of how many images are there on the page. We trust that users will follow the five image per episode rule. --ForceFire 03:23, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Ok. PattyMan 03:35, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Edits

I will resume lurking and the occasional spelling/grammar edit, then, if that's okay with you. As I come from a large wiki, where we have our own little cliques, seeing a new person being bold tends to ruffle a lot of feathers, and I haven't really seen a "be bold" policy here. Thus, since there is none, then I will stop being bold and resume the occasional maintenance edit.

The confusion resulted from the userpage being displayed and basically a message asking for edits. I supplied what information I could, section by section, as opening a very large page in its entirety is very confusing. It is much easier to keep track of what's done by working by section, and that is where Preview doesn't help (which I used every single edit, including this one).

I admit that I didn't see the in-use tag when I started. However, when it was asked on the Pokémon-Amie talk page for edits, and I felt I should add what I could, then the message was mixed. The task would have been very simple; if a page is not public yet, don't display it.

That being said, and my own experience with cliques, I can see where I'm not wanted and will be returning to lurking. Wookieepedia needs my attention more, anyway. Trak Nar (talk) 08:00, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

New Pokémon

Have you seen Hoopa and Volcanion as well? I was thinking we should create sandboxes for them too. I would do it myself, but unfortunately I have no idea how those templates work.

From what I've gathered, Volcanion is Fire/Water type, and Hoopa is Psychic/Ghost. I found their level 100 move sets, abilities, and types here. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the leak, but they are pictures of a real 3DS, so I assume they are pretty accurate. --FireGambit (talk) 03:00, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Until they are confirmed to be real, they are unconfirmed. We only have Diancie because it was just revealed in a corocoro magazine.--ForceFire 03:03, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Alrighty, then. Thanks for your time! --FireGambit (talk) 03:06, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Also, a small question: How do I make a sandbox page? --FireGambit (talk) 03:09, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

You can create it by making: User:FireGambit/Sandbox.--ForceFire 03:13, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

I'm a little confused about what is found 'notable' in trivia. Would you mind explaining? --FireGambit (talk) 04:22, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

That's actually something I'm unsure of myself, as everyone has their own views on what is notable. I've written an unofficial policy that kinds of narrows down what is notable and what isn't based on my experience with trivia. In regards to your Smogon mascot trivia, fanon aren't really considered trivia.--ForceFire 04:39, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Image Upload Issues

Hi, mate. Long time user and occasional editor. Just trying to upload pictures of the 2005 Subway promotional toys and I am being told that I do not have the permissions to do so. Cheers. -- Lachynorms (talk) 02:31, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

New comments go at the bottom by the way. Also, you can upload images via the Archives. Don't know if there is a number of edits you have to make in order to upload an image, but I'm pretty sure there isn't. --ForceFire 02:46, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, mate, first time I've posted on someone's talk page. :) Yeah, I've attempted uploading the image there but an upload error stating 'You do not have permission to create new pages' appears. The images would go a long way to completing that page so I'd like to get 'em on there! Cheers, mate. --Lachynorms (talk) 02:56, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Have you been email confirmed?--ForceFire 03:14, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Yep, although four years ago, mind you. I attempted with some other images to no avail. Quite unsure what to make of it. --Lachynorms (talk) 03:22, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Looks like you do have to make some edits to the archive in order to upload. Not sure what exactly you can edit there, as the archives are only used for uploading images. Your account must also be on the archives for a considerate amount of time, which I'm sure you have that done as you've been for over 4 years.--ForceFire 03:29, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
Alright, I'll do what I can in the meantime. Cheers for the help, mate! --Lachynorms (talk) 03:31, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

XY016 error

Wait. I know it's not an error, but please take a look on this for a second. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/XY016_error_2_zps685be966.png.html. Pikachu65 13:34, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Eh, I feel that is a bit wrong. Her nose and eyelashes appear to be too high on her face when it should be lower as she is facing Bonnie. It's her hair, not part of her face.--ForceFire 13:42, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Seriously? Then put the delete on it that is not an error. Thanks for your advice. Pikachu65 13:44, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
We had already talked about Zigzagoon's mask in XY010 before, but there's something that is bothering me. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/Zigzagggg_zps00887e64.png.html Pikachu65 13:52, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
I guess that could be an error. --ForceFire 14:11, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Really? Its eyes? Pikachu65 14:21, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
I'm not saying it isn't an error. I'm saying it could be an error. --ForceFire 14:39, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Aha, so when it's closing its eyes, this could be an error. They used different color on its mask. I thought its mask is always black... Pikachu65 14:51, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
The mask is always black. The eyes (or the outlines rather) should be of a lighter shade.--ForceFire 14:56, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Yeah! Then let's add this on XY010 about its eyes closed or something, not the mask 'cause everyone know that it's always black. Pikachu65 15:02, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Hey! Look what I found. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/Teeth_zpsc3a5d915.png.html Can you tell me the difference between Ash ans Serena's mouths? I think it's their teeth. Pikachu65 10:30, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Yes, that would be an error.--ForceFire 12:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Great! Now you see the difference. It's their teeth, the are colored pink like tongues instead of white. There's no way we can add the Rena's bag error with the clip, which is an oval shape when it should be a diamond shape. Pikachu65 12:59, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Hey! Look at this here here Do you see the difference? I need to know. It's his blonde hair. Pikachu65 12:09, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Hmm. I'm not too entirely sure about it. The fact that it is sunset in that scene, implies that the darker shading is normal. No 100% sure. Ask for second opinions, I'll leave the error in the error section for now.--ForceFire 12:28, 27 February 2014

Okay! Pikachu65 13:26, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi there! I found this. http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/SOFCJ-RawsPocketMonstersXY-19TX1280x720x264AACmp4_snapshot_0838_20140314_183820_zps21b7087d.png.html http://s1097.photobucket.com/user/Keroromaniac/media/Keroro%20Gunsou%20and%20animes/SOFCJ-RawsPocketMonstersXY-19TX1280x720x264AACmp4_snapshot_0838_20140314_183821_zps792c6053.png.html I think it's not an error. Am I right? Pikachu65 17:43, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
Major miscolorings are errors. In this case, it is.--ForceFire 03:32, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Right. 1 I think there should be 13 errors in this page, but the limit of the error images must be five. We need to talk to Kogoro about extensing the limit up to 15. Pikachu65 09:38, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
If you want, you can bring it up to Kogoro. If you want my opinion, five images is more than enough. I personally do not like to see sections that are loaded with images.--ForceFire 09:40, 15 March 2014 (UTC)
Yes! But there must be more images. I will talk to her/him about extensing the limit, so this case will be solved. I don't care if five is enough, but that's not enough - 25 is enough! That's why we need this limit extension. Maybe 7 o 10 images would be enough. Pikachu65 09:42, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

New image for template

Hi there, I uploaded an anipng file to replace the gif that the current suspected evolution template uses, but cannot update the template myself. New image is here. --Jdthebud (talk) 21:24, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

There seems to be a problem with the image animation. Probably best not to update it yet until it gets fixed.--ForceFire 02:20, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
fixed now, so feel free to update it. Can you also tag the .gif for deletion when you are done? Jdthebud (talk) 00:35, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Cool. I'll update it now and place the delete tag on the old image.--ForceFire 02:36, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

Diggersby (Pokémon)#Name origin

As one who was skeptical of Relicant's reasonings in Talk:Chesnaught (Pokémon)#Knight (and as a staff member), I'm curious to know what you think of Relicant's arguments for "rood" as an origin for Diggersby's Japanese name (Horūdo).

I do not believe there is enough substance to support "rood" as a possibility, but I'm sure Relicant wouldn't just let me remove it (and that would lead nowhere), so I need some authority to judge this and give it a solid resolution. If you (and/or other staff) judge that, thin though rood's substance may be, its possibility still cannot be absolutely denied, then I'll be happy enough to accept that. I really think it's much too unlikely, though... Tiddlywinks (talk) 21:19, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

Rood is also a measurement of land, which is supported by its Ground typing. Whilst I think it is a stretch, it does fit in a way (again, Ground typing). Even if it is an obscure word. I'd probably just leave it in there for now.--ForceFire 02:55, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

Coding for the infoboxes

Hi Force Fire, I was wondering if you could give me the coding for the Pokemon infobox template? I want to make my infoboxes on this wikia I'm creating look like that. I will not copy them completely, I plan on tweaking the design a bit. Thanks :) TheManofTomorrow (talk) 00:22, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Send Back

What's the difference? It did stated to be Lick I saw the episode and other characters mentioned this to be lick.--JasonL 13:35, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Well now I'm confused. When I saw the episode In the Pink Lickitung used Lick on a pink Nindoking and it's face turned blue and fell down.--JasonL (talk)

Was it told to use lick or was it stated to be lick? If not, then we can't confirm that it used lick in that episode as licking the opponent does not mean it used the move.--ForceFire 02:59, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Well when I saw the episode In the pink I think it was told to use Lick. Will you re-check the episode just to make sure. Because Lickitung's Lick is not in one of the Anime move errors and I'm only trying to help. --JasonL (talk)

No it didn't. Jessie doesn't command Lickitung to use Lick. She called it "Lick" but it doesn't mean she commanded her to use Lick.--ForceFire 03:52, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Oh, okay. Well Lickitung is called the Licking Pokémon we all know that. But after seeing the other Pokémon feeling a little funny by Lickitung's tongue it almost looked like it was using Lick. Talk about a "Licking" situation. -- JasonL (talk)

Blaziken Mask / Meyer

Is there any discussion anywhere on merging these two pages? There is no spoiler left. They are now revealed in North America to be the same person. It's time to merge rather than try to protect spoilers for those who might not watch it in the next five years.

I have an idea for how to do this; I would rather be bold and go ahead and do it, but in my experience here (unlike Wikipedia) find my bold attempts quickly reverted. Will there be a reason that they cannot be merged or can we finally go ahead and do it? CycloneGU (talk) 14:24, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Pokémon Trainer's Choice

Why are you adding "good" choices? Those questions ask for the best choice, and having the most resistances and advantages makes Treecko and Crobat the best choices. We shouldn't even bother with any other choice unless it has just as many resistances/advantages as the best one. I'm curious as to why you think it's notable to mention Carvanha and Togetic. --TheVeryBest 05:38, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

Because they would also be good choices. Yes, it's asking for the best, but we can't just ignore the fact that other choices would also make good choices. Also, having the "most resistance and advantages" is akin to having "better stats". For all we know, whoever wrote these question was probably only going for "X beats Y because it's Z type" not "X beats Y because not only is it Z type, it also resists Y's typing".--ForceFire 06:15, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
If we can't assume that type-based match-up questions include defensive advantages, why can we assume that it doesn't? Not that it matters since I have evidence that resistances are considered in the PTCs of AG061 (Chinchou is preferred over Illumise against Crawdaunt), AG066, AG082 (Venomoth > Gastly vs. Sunflora), and AG087. --TheVeryBest 07:44, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Well, do my findings change your mind? --TheVeryBest 05:45, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
No. I feel that the ones where it seems resistance were taken into consideration were just questions where they shot themselves in the foot and chose whatever answer as the "correct one". I.e, not really giving 4kids a lot of credit, especially when they got one question horrendously wrong.--ForceFire 05:57, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Abuse log

Force Fire, that edit gives me the bad formatting tag, what I'm going to do? --Cinday123 (Talk) 06:46, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

It's because the template had "align=center" which is outdated. It has to be "margin:auto" (for the template to be centered) and/or "text-align:center" (for the text to be centered).--ForceFire 06:57, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
Opps, I forgot to get the new ones, I have to be careful next time. --Cinday123 (Talk) 07:03, 26 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi Again

I noticed replies to other threads but no reply to mine. Is there a reason you skipped my question? CycloneGU (talk) 22:02, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Heh, don't fret. I did bring it up with the others, but there was no response. Thus, I had no response to give. I'll try again today. Also, if it's any help, I agree that the two pages should be merged as the episodes have debuted already and there's really no need for it to be spplit any longer.--ForceFire 02:08, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
Ah, well, if I may throw this out there, this is a Wiki thing, so should it not be discussed on-Wiki? If it's hidden in a staff forum where most people can't see it, then we have absolutely no public input on it.
I was about ready to just go in and do the merge myself. Just gave one more try here. =) And I agree, I've had little response too; I even asked Magnadeth, but it seems he's become quieter too. CycloneGU (talk) 04:44, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
Bringing it up on staff forums just alerts them of a request, as they may have either missed it or too busy to notice. Either way, the merge is good to go, I assume you wanted to merge it so go ahead if you want.--ForceFire 04:57, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
All right, it's a little late this evening (1 AM EDT), so I'll go ahead with it in the morning. I do have a busy day tomorrow, but if I'm awake early enough like the last two days (and not asleep until 11 AM LOL), I might be able to do it before I get busy. I'll use the interim to ask another editor I saw who agreed with a merge on what he thinks, and ultimately I'll do what I think is best for the article. Thanks! =) CycloneGU (talk) 05:11, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
Eh, I've already merged the articles (haven't saved yet). So I can do the edit now.--ForceFire 05:14, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
Fair enough. I'm still awake (barely) and made edits at Blaziken in the anime section. There may be more to cover elsewhere, and I wonder if an article for this specific Blaziken may be needed in the future (not yet). CycloneGU (talk) 06:16, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Hi. I'm writing because today I was trying to add the Y version of User Champion to my userpage, when I noticed there was a little mistake in your update, that added the Gen VI games: the letter "Y" is already programmed into the template, because of Yellow. Since a lot of users already use the old version, could you please change the letter standing for the recent game, to "Y2", or something like that? オリナル TheOriginalOne 21:18, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

XY013 dub

I watched this episode in the dub version, pal, and I found out that Ash call his Froakie a male. We still don't know if Ash's Froakie really is a male or not, the same goes with Penelope's Sylveon as a female. This case would be uwknown. Pikachu65 08:26, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Uploading XY sprites

Hi, I was wondering if it would be acceptable to upload X and Y sprites from Pokemon Showdown onto this wiki to use for the pages. I wanted to do this, but wasn't sure about copyrights so I figured I should ask first. --SuperPikaBros 20:43, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

Well, if you have permission (from the owner of the site) to do so. Even then, you have to bring it up to an editorial board member, as they have the final say in it.--ForceFire 02:46, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Omega Rubin and Alpha Sapphire

I know. I'm just protecting things as they are the norms when a new game is announced.--ForceFire 14:38, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
Would it be a good idea to lock Generation VI as well? I know that Gen III was locked, but I think that Gen VI should also be locked since that is when the new games would likely be released. --Super goku (talk) 15:56, 7 May 2014 (UTC)

XY026

Look at eposide XY022 and BW140. Both have trivia relating to the species being shown despite only being around for 2 generations, making it a decent article of trivia.- unsigned comment from Rahl (talkcontribs)

Then those should be removed.--ForceFire 01:33, 9 May 2014 (UTC)

No Transformation

Your wrong. Mega Evolution is still evolution method that can evolve into Mega Pokemon (final form for one-evolution families and second/true final form for two-evolution families) and devolve back into previous form. --Samueljoo (talk) 04:51, 14 May 2014 (UTC)

No. An evolved Pokémon should not be able to de-evolve back to its previous states. That is common knowledge in the Pokémon franchise. Mega Evolution is a transformation method since the Pokémon can still revert to its original form. Also, just because it's called Mega Evolution doesn't automatically make it an evolution.--ForceFire 04:59, 14 May 2014 (UTC)
But Force Fire, this isn't right. --Samueljoo (talk) 00:19, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Regardless, the game does not call it an evolution.--ForceFire 03:42, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

Is it Me, Or...

...do regional Pokédex Numbers in the infoboxes look ugly ATM? See Azumarill; I would think having regions on top as one line of a table, and the number in each Dex on the second line of the same table makes more sense and looks better. No problem with two lines in the first row of the table. CycloneGU (talk) 21:45, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

Eh, I don't really have a problem with how it looks. It still gets the point across, which is more important than the look.--ForceFire 02:14, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Shouldn't it also look good? Shows professionalism IMO. CycloneGU (talk) 04:31, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
It should, though that comes second (information comes first). I also feel that it's so minor.--ForceFire 03:57, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Pokemon Conquest Moves

I'd like to request this template be implimented as template for Pokemon Conquest moves. Currently as I'm editing it involves the mass copying and editing of the table directly, which this template greatly simplifies. Actual usage of it could further by simplified by making the three colors used in the template into color templates like "Steel color dark", etc, so in the template fields I could put "hit/move/push" instead of the color codes, but as-is it's perfectly functional as seen here. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:13, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

On a related note, would the website "Veekun" by acceptable for reliable information? Their database on the game's moves provides base accuracy, chance of secondary effects taking hold, and base power, stats that are not-viewable in-game. I'd like to add this extra info but if the website isn't suitable as a source for this I'm fine to leave it out. Drake Clawfang (talk) 21:23, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

I'll bring up the template request to the other admins. The template look alright to me. About Veekun, I'm pretty sure they are a reliable source. I'll check with the others.--ForceFire 02:40, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Should Veekun be acceptable, I'm going to design an alternate version of the template with their data displayed. Drake Clawfang (talk) 03:44, 11 June 2014 (UTC)

Any word on this? Drake Clawfang (talk) 00:56, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

I have taken up to the others a few days ago but received no response. I'll try again today.--ForceFire 03:57, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Burst

No one has explained what is ultimately wrong with including that point.

Jdogno4 (talk) 10:58, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Check your talk page. Here is the link to your talk page as it appears you have troubles find it, reading it and following the warnings that have been given to you. Sorry for being harsh, but you are just not getting it. Here is the link again.--ForceFire 11:03, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

That is the original explanation, I meant since my new response: "True Pokemon and Digimon aren't the only franchise to do this but they do it the most similar to one another. I haven't seen MegaMan for a while, how was it done there again? I haven't seen Saint Seiya at all but I have red about it."

Jdogno4 (talk) 12:00, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

The point is that it doesn't matter who does it the closest it's still unnotable. We also avoid comparisons between franchises because it can be highly opinionated.--ForceFire 12:22, 14 June 2014 (UTC)

Fine. Understood.

Jdogno4 (talk) 05:37, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Primal Reversion

Primal Reversion was devolution, this Primal Reversion was transformation is wrong. --Samueljoo (talk) 07:53, 15 June 2014 (UTC)

Your Starter Pokémon edit

Would you care to respond to the comment(s) at Talk:Starter Pokémon#Kalos secondary triangle regarding your removal of the trivia point? In short, I think you're using a baselessly narrow definition of what makes a "triangle". There's no good reason to be any more strict than "advantage"/"disadvantage", and that makes a perfect triangle. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:37, 26 June 2014 (UTC)

I already stated in the edit summary. The triangle isn't based of Advantage and Disadvantages, it is based of Super Effectiveness and Resistance. This site further explains why it is not a triangle.--ForceFire 02:43, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Why should I care what that site says? It's not an official site. Everyone's definition of "triangle" (as regards this subject) is artificial, and yours/that site's are based on one single data point: the Water/Fire/Grass "triangle". That is MASSIVELY flawed.
"Dealing 2x damage" and "receiving 1/2 damage" can be rephrased as "having an offensive advantage" and "having a defensive advantage", and you cannot tell me with any sort of certainty that that is the wrong interpretation. (Or if you're looking at it as "A deals 2x damage to B and B deals 1/2 damage to A", it's "A has an offensive advantage over B and B has an offensive disadvantage against A". Same difference.)
Look at the facts. The Dark/Psychic/Fighting secondary types are so close to the exact same relationship ("triangle") as the Water/Fire/Grass primary types. Would you wager that that was not intentional? Would you actually wager that they were not going for a secondary "triangle"? Who are you to say that it doesn't form a "triangle" when they've rather apparently made the decision that "offensive advantage/defensive advantage" is the rule of their "triangles" instead of the trivially specific "deals 2x damage/receives 1/2 damage"? The games have done basically nothing in the way of "triangles" for five generations except Water/Fire/Grass; accept that they just decided to advance this concept a bit. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:16, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
I only used that site to explain why I think Dark/Psychic/Fighting does not make a triangle. There is no official word, but the fact the kept the Grass/Fire/Water cycle, the one that deals 2x damage to A/receives 1/2 damage to B, for sixth generation states otherwise. Dark tpye does not receive 1/2 damage to Psychic thus does not make Dark/Fighting/Psychic a triangle. End of story.--ForceFire 03:22, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
And they're not allowed to decide to expand it... Right. I'll seek wider opinions, then. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:37, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Not saying they can't, just saying that the fact that they are still using the Grass/Fire/Water cycle implies that "deals 2x damage and receives 1/2 damage" is what they consider a triangle.--ForceFire 03:42, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Or...that could also just be momentum/brand/whatever.
And you cannot, period, build a valid definition from a single example (even if that single example is repeated many times). Tiddlywinks (talk) 04:23, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
Even if it has been repeated for sixth generation and nearly two decades? You are missing the point. Having an advantage and disadvantage isn't that specific and too general. Any three types can have an advantage and a disadvantage to each other. But the Grass/Fire/Water cycle specifically has a resistance/super effectiveness against each other.--ForceFire 04:36, 27 June 2014 (UTC)

Just Curious

I know the site will likely be put on lockdown on or just before November 21. Being the random sporadic editor, I want to know how I can avoid being locked from editing my sporadic but helpful edits. I think I've proven by now I'm not a troublesome editor, and want to figure that out before the lockdown so I don't have edits waiting to be made, or have to request others to make edits on rarely viewed talk pages. I can even handle edit requests myself during the time. =) CycloneGU (talk) 01:02, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Ask Kogoro. There technically is a way, but Kogoro would probably be a better person to explain it to you.--ForceFire 01:07, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
I'll do that in a bit then. Thanks for the quick reply. CycloneGU (talk) 01:36, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

A question regarding my talk page.

Hello. Because you have deleted a section on Ash's Hawlucha's talk page that was created by a sockpuppet, would you like me to delete a section in my talk page that was created by the same sockpuppet? He's here! The one and only...Uncle Edit! (talk) 00:28, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

If want to remove the comment from the sockpuppet, go ahead. --ForceFire 00:57, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I will take care of it immediately. Have a nice day! He's here! The one and only...Uncle Edit! (talk) 01:01, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

Welcoming users

How should we handle welcoming new users since a lot of them turn out to be Spyspotter's sockpuppets? PattyMan 01:11, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

Just welcome them anyways, since normal users can't tell. The admins will handle it if the user(s) turns out to be Spyspotter.--ForceFire 01:13, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Oh ok. I didn't want it feeling like a waste to welcome someone and then the page gets deleted because of that. PattyMan 01:16, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

hello their

thats no promblem

no big deal

i do accept your apologize

i was wondering how to discus ash pokemon skeptical mostly

can i discuss with u please we need to talk about some of his pokemon --Terryberry94 (talk) 03:35, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

We don't discuss the "power" of Ash's Pokemon because it is very opinionated, which is something we don't want on Bulbapedia. If you want to make a discussion about Ash's Pokemon, you can do so at the forums--ForceFire 03:45, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

i tried the forums no body is answering about this i dont understand ash krokidial and plaptoad said to be powerhouse pokemon sceptial, infernape, snorlax, charizard, and possible pignite as well

we seen their power and endurable body --Terryberry94 (talk) 01:39, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

They might be strong, but they are just opinions, which are not allowed on this wiki. you're also not the first user who tried to add these sorts of stuff on the wiki. They are not notable because they are opinion--ForceFire 01:50, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

i dont understand what about infernape ever since he evolved Brock said he became powerhouse in ash team --Terryberry94 (talk) 01:55, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

It's still not notable. It is all opinion. --ForceFire 02:03, 18 July 2014 (UTC)

Fletchinder

Extremely not agree. The spoiler has been revealed in the movie, and the article links to Fletchinder already. How to explain why Ash has a Fletchinder in the movie? Raymond 06:09, 21 July 2014 (UTC)

  • To me, I am very extremely against the move until XY036 airs, as the Fletchinder in the movie could be a new one other than the Fletchling i.e. Ash has both Fletchling and Fletchinder at the same time. However, it has been moved. Raymond 06:14, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
    • The more important reason is, there is a Fletchling in XY036. Raymond 06:15, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
