About Castelia City's Demographic

Okay, so I noticed that you marked the "Demographics" section for Castelia City is "not needed"... Why is it not needed? Other cities such as Cerulean City, Jubilife City, Goldenrod City, etc. have demographics. We should make the Unova towns and cities consistent with the other Pokemon cities. --Han Ji-Wan 19:28, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

I didn't mean the whole section, only the "as of Generation V" part. Your help was in fact very appreciated. You can see here that I only edited "Demographics" section, didn't delete it.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 19:34, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I apologize for being rude. Forgive me, I'm just new and I'm trying to get the hang of this place. Will be careful next time, and I appreciate your help trying to correct it! Thank you! :]

--Han Ji-Wan 19:46, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Zoroark

Oh, but Zoroark didn't have her energy drained like Giratina did. She ignored all the serious injuries Kodai inflicted on her to protect Zorua and she collapsed. She didn't show signs that she fainted and didn't move when Zorua was calling for her to wake. It is possible that Zoroark died, but Celebi brought her back to life using the ripple of time. -- Aura24 20:15, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Well, you may be right.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 20:19, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

My recent edit on Altaria

I completely forgot about Twister, so thanks for reverting it, but is it possible that the piece of trivia about Altaria not being able to learn Barrier could be added back? I understand that it can learn Protect and Safeguard, but I was specifically referring to the fact it couldn't learn Barrier, not any barrier type moves at all. Mokoniki 15:00, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

I doubt that Altaria's Browser entry used Barrier's Japanese name in the original version of the game, using something like "shield" instead, so it's just a coincidence.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:07, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, I see, ok! Thanks anyway. Mokoniki 15:47, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

In this edit, you said that it was on the official site. I have been on the official site, and I can't find it anywhere. Can you direct me to where it is? --SnorlaxMonster 09:01, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Cards

There is always ALWAYS a space between the word and the vertical pipe. It is extremely important. type=Water | not type=Water| MaverickNate 16:40, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Partially Jello's fault.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:44, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
It's no one's fault. It's just one of those things that happens. I already talked to her about it. MaverickNate 16:46, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I wasn't really serious, just meant I copypasted from that card and didn't notice lack of space.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:50, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm tired of telling people this

If you can't add the japanese dex entry and translation to the page when you change the info to the carddex template, don't touch the section. It needs to be done at the same time, or else we don't have any way of knowing what's completed and what's not, since some cards lack Japanese entries, and i personally on't want to go through every single card article again just because some people don't know how to do things. Moral of the story, I see you not adding the Japanese entry, so don't change the Pokédex info. MaverickNate 03:35, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

"Names"

Can you please change the "Names" section of each city to "In other languages" please.--Clarky13 07:23, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Why Isnt Serebii an official sorce? Mesuxelf

Because it isn't licensed by Nintendo or Game Freak. Of course the names are real, Bulbapedia just always needs an official source.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:36, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

"Yuji Ueda"

How did you find out that Yuji Ueda did the voices of Monferno and Infernape? Blob55 03:00, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Both Japanese Pokémon Wiki and Japanese Wikipedia have said so since last summer, and they are very reliable sites regarding to seiyūs.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 08:18, 6 February 2011 (UTC)

Raikou

Hi Dennou Zenshi. I have a quick question about the Raikou from the Zoroark movie. In one scene, it was seen using a beam of electricity from its mouth. The beam is fired from a orb in front of it. It is listed as Charge Beam. It does make sense, though. But do you think it could be Zap Cannon, since the GameStop Raikou knows it? I wasn't quite sure whether it would be, so I came to you to get a second opinion. You seem to be very good with deciphering attacks. ^^ Littlmiget123 02:14, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Haha, you have a good timing, I just received my own Raikou...but yeah, you have a point, as Zap Cannon looks like that in Adventures and games. However, Zap Cannon has appeared pretty recently in the anime, using very different animation, and Entei used Overheat and Suicune Ice Beam, which aren't their event moves, so I'd say that it is Charge Beam.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 12:22, 7 February 2011 (UTC)
I thought of Ice Beam and Overheat as well, and the shape of it. But I was also thinking of Nosepass's Zap Cannon, when Roxanne used it. It was kinda like Raikou's, except it didn't start with an orb... But again, good call with Charge Beam. I would have never thought of it as that. I probably would have put it down as Zap Cannon myself. :D Littlmiget123 13:26, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Gengar (Arceus 16)

I'm just curious why you changed the Japanese translation for the move curse from an actual translation to just the romanification of the Japanese hiragana. -- CardKaptor 11:34, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Because card articles use the same Japanese names as move articles. And as you can see, Curse's Japanese translation is Noroi. However, after I read Curse's trivia section, I started to think that it should be changed back, as Gengar is Ghost-type.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 13:40, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Request

Hi Dennou Zenshi. I just want to ask you some things to correct before I leave for good: Could you remove the symbol of male in Ash’s article next to Charizard. And in ep001's article in the sentence “When Ash places Pikachu's Pokéball on the ground next to Pikachu, his thumb passes right through it when he stands up to face the flock of Spearow. This is an example of quantum tunneling, which is practically impossible at the macroscopic level.” Could correct and replace “Pikachu’s Pokéball” by Pikachu’s Poké Ball. Thank you for doing it. Focaus 18:04, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Kenji-girl has said that Pokémon whose gender has been confirmed in the dub should keep their gender symbol. But yeah, Pokéball is wrong.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 18:11, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, i know but in Charizard's article, Jda removed the fact that he is mal in the dub only. Focaus 18:14, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
A small detail: could you add a space between Charizard and the symbol male in Ash's article. Thank you for all and sorry for all the times I've bothered you. Focaus 18:22, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you again. I’m writing to you the same message I sent to Kenji that she didn’t answer. I know I promised whenever I will leave for good but I can not help myself and I see an error. But this time, I assure you that this is the last. Could you please replace in the article of Ash’s Pikachu ‘was permanent’ by ‘is permanent’ because the situation is still unknown and "is" is more favorable for the context. This time I’m sure I could keep my promise. Thank you and goodbye to all of users. Xavious 15:44, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
You said “was” is better but in the paragraph you just added “were” in the sentence “and the other three Poké Balls that held Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle were still on the podium but “”were”” empty”. And are you sure for “were” because there is a repetition of “were”: “were still on the podium” and “were empty”? Also there is a repetition of ”is”: “it is unknown” and “is permanent”. And don’t you think it is better to put “stores” instead “stored”. My version would be “The Poké Ball Professor Oak stored (or stores) Pikachu in has a special lightning bolt mark. It is unknown if this Poké Ball was (or “has been” but I don’t think we can use it here) permanent as Ash uses a regular Poké Ball to try to recall Pikachu, and the other three Poké Balls that held Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle were still on the podium but empty. Also, Gary's Blastoise is held in a regular Poké Ball.”I said that but I don’t know. I ask your opinion. Precise me please when you are sure that it is perfect about the context, the grammar, the conjugation and the punctuation. Thank you for answering me. Pidas 14:46, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I tested your version and yes, it looked even better. It's correct that repeating words looks bad. I hope that your above message was the last post of you for me; I have other things to do here as well. Otherwise I'll request my talk page for semi-protection.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:06, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay. Thank you for your reply. I think I fixed everything I wanted to do. Thank you for all and goodbye. Pidas 15:29, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Are you helping Falk evade his block by editing for him? Keep that in mind next time something like this happens. I'll let you off with a warning, but do realize you can be blocked as well for block evasion. MaverickNate 15:38, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I thought it wouldn't be so wrong becase his requests weren't against rules and nobody said me to not do it before. And I promise to ignore him completely in future, especially because he has promised to leave for good.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:45, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Well, that's why you're getting a warning. helping a blocked user is never a good idea, and that's the reason why Jello, Kogoro, and Kenji girl have been ignoring his requests. Also, he hasn't kept his word about leaving. Notice he said goodbye and promised he would be gone forever using three different accounts in this section alone. He has been abusing multiple accounts since he was blocked the first time January 28. Just be more aware, and don't do anything else for him. MaverickNate 16:07, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, as I said above, I'll ignore him from now on.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 16:15, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for understanding and complyinng. You can't understand how much abuse, blackmail and utter lies we had to suffer thanks to this person alone. Frankly, it has a reached a point where we just don't care any more, thus why we all ignore his messages. He's created more than 40 accounts (yes, I actually counted) even though he was constantly told not to. Jellotalk 19:39, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

*ahem* Den

Hehehe... *Shushhh ;P*. By the way, Bikini have got his hands on the magazine and looking at it right now. We'll update the asap if he spot anything useful. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 15:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Comet Punch

For the Ledyba edit that you're undoing, Comet Punch isn't Fighting-type, or am I missing something? Pikiwyn talk 20:08, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Whoops, I didn't read the whole sentence, and that user Munchwhatever previously removed content from pages like a vandal.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 20:11, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
I also thought fighting moves might refer to punching moves, that's why I wasn't sure. Pikiwyn talk 20:20, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Mamoswine

I've been thinking this ever since the Zoroark movie. Mamoswine uses an attack when fighting against Goone's Scizor. Do you think that it could be Icicle Spear instead of Ice Shard? Ice Shard is one ball of ice, and the ice that it fired were shaped like spears, much like the Coordinator's Sheller's Icicle Spear that was shown. And while you may say it isn't because it never uses it, don't forget Misty's Corsola only using Bubblebeam in Pokemon Heroes. I'm asking you because you have a good eye for attacks, and I'd like a second opinion. :D Littlmiget123 00:22, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

I've watched the movie once; on last December, so I don't remember exactly what it looked like. However, I'm pretty sure that it was Ice Shard, because when Mamoswine used it as Swinub in M11, it looked similar as Mamoswine's attack but different than Swinub's Ice Shard in main anime. And writers seldom gave Pokémon one-time moves and egg moves in DP series.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 13:56, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Romaji

Hi, are you positive about your changes to the Romaji name edits you have made? Your user page shows me that you only know Japanese at a beginner level, and the rest of the internet seems to be against your changes. Virtual-Z 08:18, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

I know katakana 99% perfectly. And here is my proof: [1]. Archen is obvious and you can see "NUTREY" if you look very closely.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 08:23, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Looks good to me. And that image of the book or whatever is legit? I see that it is on the official website, but anything's possible. In any case, I'll get an admin who knows Japanese to check it out. Thanks! Virtual-Z 08:40, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
You don't really have to. We have always added official Japanese names when new merchandise is released. Here is an example change made by a Bureaucrat: [2]----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 08:46, 12 March 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, good enough, but as someone who doesn't know any Japanese, I'm just making sure nothing is false. I know you're not a noob, but anyone can make a mistake. Virtual-Z 08:52, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Ahem

DZ, did you check this before moving the articles? We are well aware of the fact that Bi Daburyu stands for BW but I think we should follow the official name, I also asked Psy and he told me the same thing. The official name is 「ポケモン言えるかな?BW(ビーダブリュー)」. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 14:48, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Hmm...you are possibly right, but IMO it should stay without Bidaburyu part until somebody else says their opinion, because that part just repeats the BW part for them who don't know the Latin letters.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 15:04, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Translation titles

I have seen you adding some Finnish dub titles and I like it. I also really like that a Finn is in so successful position in Bulbapedia as you are. Could you do me a favor and translate/correct some Finnish episode titles:

  • DP159: I'm not 100% sure if that translation is correct. Could you check it out?
  • DP160: I'm even more unsure about this. Could you check it too?
  • AG131: I know the title but I don't know how it's translated. Do you?

Thanks. --FinnishPokéFan92 13:05, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, "Pippurinen" is hard to to translate, but I agree that "powerful" is the best translation for it. DP160's translation is fine as well, although "sports party" sounds a little weird. I would translate the AG episode simply as "The end of the story!", it makes sense.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 13:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your help. :-) --FinnishPokéFan92 15:04, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Two titles?

I'm a little bit confused with one thing: in EP022, EP023 and EP024 the Finnish titles which I had from those episodes totally clashed with the ones that someone had put there. Like, in EP023, it was Salaperäinen Sabrina, when I know it was Abra ja yliluonnolliset voimat. The other pairs were Kummitustornin arvoitus / Kummitustorni and Salaisuus paljastuu / Haunter vastaan Kadabra. What is going on in here? Has someone gotten wrong titles or have those titles been used, like, in some tape covers or something? If you know, please tell me. --FinnishPokéFan92 14:45, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I have the video tapes of those episodes and they are correct as they are now. However, I have no idea where the previous titles were gotten from. Maybe they were unofficial titled used in a TV guide.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 19:24, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

One more thing...

I know that EP081 hasn't been dubbed into Finnish, but there's no Finnish title in EP080 either. Does it mean that this episode hasn't been dubbed? --FinnishPokéFan92 13:03, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Yep, it hasn't been dubbed either.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 13:05, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Sorry to bother you again, but how could EP074's Finnish title be translated properly? It's clearly a modified version of poltetta veressä, which means fire in your veins (at least according to my dictionary), but, unlike in some other cases, I'm not able to modify the translation. Should I put something like fire in you sea, or something like that, and mention that it's a literal translation? --FinnishPokéFan92 13:11, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
I think that "Fire in your sea" would be the best translation for that one.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 13:28, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

New articles

Please do not create new user space articles if we have no confirmation at all about their capture, i.e someone's going to capture it or not. Since, the edits in these kind of articles (which are considered to be mainspaceable) are not counted as your userspace edit but rather mainspace contribution, contributing to an article which has not a single confirmation will be of no use at all and will only cause the unwanted server stress. Even though we are considering them as potential captures or not, but we have 0% confirmation about their capture, take Cilan's Cottonee as an example (have no idea about Palpitoad; I'll talk to KG about that as well). So please avoid creating such articles in future. Thank you ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 18:54, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

OK, I stop creating any Pokémon article which isn't confirmed or notably hinted, but according to the summmary, Ash tries to catch Roggenrola so I think it's reasonable page to keep.----無限の知性DENNOUZENSHI 19:02, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Okay, sounds good to me. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 19:14, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

A thing in my mind

One thing has bothered me for long time: I have seen so many Finnish dubbed episodes of the Advanced Generation, but I don't remember all the names, and they are missing from Bulbapedia. Do you know, like, any page that has Finnish titles of Pokémon episodes in it? Just a wild guess, but I'm feeling a little desperate, so I decided to try (see, I'm that kind of a guy who doesn't like if a thing isn't properly finished). --FinnishPokéFan92 18:28, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
