Welcome to Bulbapedia, Blazingfist!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 10:16, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

You are absolutely right and most of the time I do use it, but sometimes I am just to hasty or in a rush. I need to take it easy sometimes lol. Sorry for that, I will be more careful from now on. ¡¡¡Blazingfist!!! 10:19, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Team Plasma article

I understand your reasoning, but I think it clear enough that the episodes discussed are unaired. Take this sentence, for example, "Team Plasma were initially set to debut...but the episodes were postponed indefinitely...". The rest of the "Behind the scenes" section also clearly and explicitly states that the episodes are unaired. In addition, clicking those links takes you to the articles for the unaired episodes. I don't think there's any confusion over whether it's talking about the aired or unaired episodes. Pokegen master (talk) 14:53, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Ah well, I see you haven't undone it yet. Do as you like, however. I thought it might be a bit confusing, but if you think it isn't, go ahead an change it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 15:27, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Ok. I didn't want to start an edit war, so I just came here. Pokegen master (talk) 18:54, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Vertress Conference

Where did you get six from? Also, the edit summary you put, I found it to be rude. PattyMan 19:40, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude, I hate being or coming off as rude, but it seemed kind of obvious to me. Especially if you checked here: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_episodes#Black_.26_White:_Adventures_in_Unova (scroll down, starting from Curtain Up, Unova League!, then Mission: Defeat Your Rival!, Lost at the League!, Strong Strategy Steals the Show!, Cameron's Secret Weapon!, and lastly A Unova League Evolution!, six episodes in total, which does in fact make it the shortest league. BlazingFist ☼ 19:45, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
I must have counted Team Eevee and the Pokémon Rescue Squad! by mistake. Anyway, I got seven since someone else who made the edit back then mentioned that Lost at the League! didn't count as a league episode. At least you told me that you weren't being rude (how i respond to it). By the way, thank you for fixing those new pages that I created of the missing characters of the day. PattyMan 19:55, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Don't worry about it, those are just small mistakes that happen. I'll try being more polite the next time something like this happens. And that thing with those characters, don't mention it. I like doing that kind of editing stuff, I like creating missing character/location pages myself too and it is nice to see you found some characters that still needed a page BlazingFist ☼ 19:59, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Personality and characteristics

What was wroung my personalty and charactics on jessie frellish I did In 12years old I'm so confuse I watch this show in japAnses as well. I thought it was right and I wrought down on a paper about why did you take it off I'm not stupid I'm not that what i thought about her please tell me please I be you email [email protected] please unless can you fix it or can I send you my thing then you said you like i put it on Catlove (talk) 19:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)catloveCatlove (talk) 19:15, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

It's nothing personal, or anything, it is because the grammar and spelling you used was very bad and almost unreadable. I perfectly understand English may not be your native language (guess what, English isn't my native language either) but remember, this IS an English encyclopedia, so at least basic level skills of the English language are wanted here. Also, you wrote some Pokémon names wrong. Try to improve your English a bit and read this: the Manual of Style, it contains useful information about writing things here at Bulbapedia. Hope this clears things up. BlazingFist ☼ 19:27, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Who's That Pokemon? BW115 engdub

I just want to know is Watchog featured in english version of Who's That Pokemon BW115 o not? Pikachu65 13:25, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea actually. I haven't seen the episode, I only know it aired because a review topic of the episode was opened on the forums. BlazingFist ☼ 13:27, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Maybe it was Watchog after all. Oh well. Just wait until tomorrow. Pikachu65 13:31, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

And besides, Watchog has been scanned second time. In episode BW115. Pikachu65 11:48, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Charizard

Hey I didnt say anything about the fact that they cant. The section I was pointed to said nothing but that. I was pointing it out. But if the dub says so then it is confirmed. I get saying it once or twice in an episode could be a mistake but if the official website states it, then it is confirmed. The Pokemon company here works close with the one in Japan, So I doubt that they would just make stuff up. All of the signs point to him as a male, he even looks male, unlike Charla, So I would say that it is in fact confirmed BlackDragon 00:21, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm going to reply here, to keep it in one place. It seemed like you said they can't, as you didn't make it sound like a quote. But anyway, that's not important. If the characters in the dub say so, it is not confirmed, as the dub is just a derivation of the original Japanese series. The original Japanese series is ultimate canon, as the series is made in Japan. So, if they don't refer to Ash's Charizard as male in the original Japanese episodes (which they don't), but they do in the dub, then it's not canon. And where does the official website state it? Could you provide a source? Lastly, "he even looks male, unlike Charla" isn't confirmation, just an opinion. Someone else could see that differently. As it is a policy, written in big red letters on the talk page of the article, it is better to leave it alone. BlazingFist ☼ 00:27, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
There is the Purrloin incident when Meowth traveled with the group. PattyMan 00:33, 9 June 2013 (UTC)~
^ Which does indeed confirm that Pokémon of the same sex could fall in love which each other. For all we know Charizard is female. Now that would be a stunning revelation, if they decided to make that ultimate canon. But we don't know yet. BlazingFist ☼ 00:39, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Still even if Japan is the ultimate cannon version, the American Pokemon company is just as reliable. Yeah the looking part is an opinion, I was just saying that. I mean Charla is a girl and looks like it. I dont see Ash putting Bows in Charizards hair, just saying. But honestly if the Dub says it it should be confirmed, as like I said, They work close together now. Sometimes you have to just take the clues and what the dub says and put it together. Every sign says he is just read them. But if I remember correctly the Meowth moment, he thought that Purrloin was a girl right? Which doesnt say much as he took it back. If that is the right moment. BlackDragon 03:21, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

There's a note next the "Unknown" stating that it is male in the dub (hover over the asterisk to see it). But that doesn't mean it is a male in the Japanese version.--ForceFire 04:35, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Indeed, that note should be enough. It is referred to as male in the dub version, okay, but not in the original version. The Japanese language does not have gender pronouns. Which mean they can't refer to Charizard as male or female in the original version. Which means it could only be revealed by other means. Conclusion: we don't know if it is male or female in the original version right now, we do know it is male in the dub. The original version is the most important and should be noted first, and this is exactly how it is stated now in its infobox on its page. I don't see a problem. Watari Island

Is that the same as Migration Island as the Pocket Monsters summary states? http://www.pocketmonsters.net/episodes/1498#Comments AeroWind (talk) 12:42, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Yes, that's supposed to be the one. I keep regular track of summaries of episodes, and I believe it was called Watari Island at first and later mostly referred to as Migration Island. BlazingFist ☼ 12:48, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
Oh alright good to know. Thanks. AeroWind (talk) 12:49, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Concerning the trivia in BW119

It was the first time the first time the Genesect Army was shown in the anime, albeit only in a flashback, so I would think it would count as notable Trivia Weavile Warrior (talk) 23:47, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

Yes, but the main point you made was Genesect individually appearing for the second time in the anime. 1: The first time was a silhoutte, which is not counted as an appearance, 2: Something is not trivia worthy when its the second time, in this case Genesect appearing for the second time.
Which brings me to the trivia about the Genesect Army, I'm not sure about that actually. But I'd still keep it as unnotable, as the Genesect Army, with a link to the corresponding page, is already listed under "Debut" on the BW119 page, that should be enough. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:52, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I'll fix the page --Weavile Warrior (talk) 23:58, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

BW123

I contacted Crystal Talian about the title, she said to wait until either a title card of the episode on TV, a DVD title card, or the official site posted the title of the episode before changing it. Link to discussion. — Reshi643 04:14, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I saw it just now, good you asked a staff member about this. While Cartoon Network is an official source when it comes to the Pokémon anime, they've also made terrible mistakes with dub names in the past, so they are not reliable for the full 100%. It think's it's indeed best the way it's done now. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 11:47, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Blazingfist, I tell you, I saw the title of the BW123 in www.cartoonnetwork.com in the program schedule last Sunday, and appeared well: Farewell, Unova! Setting Sail for New Adventures! . And if you now get to see the program schedule on Saturday will find the title as you point it out myself, nice talking to you! and no problem with writing in my page discussion :D bye! --1998gmo (talk) 18:55, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Nice talking to you too :D Anyway, for now the page title has been changed back, I hope you understand, as it is not confirmed 100%. Also this schedule lists the title as just Farewell, Unova! (they misspell Unova as "Unvoa" though). Very weird, only time will tell what the real title is. But thanks for your input and research of course! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:40, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Harley's Cacturne

If Alexa's Helioptile and Gogoat don't count as Pokémon seen on Minori Island, what about Harley's Cacturne on Izabe Island since it made recurring appearances in other places? PattyMan 16:12, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

I don't know about that, that should probably be removed too then. I always figured the "Seen on" section was for Pokémon that seem native on the island or owned by CotDs on the island. Anyway, if Gogoat and Helioptile are counted, should Pikachu, Axew and others not be included too to the "Seen on" section then. Just doesn't make much sense if you ask me. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:38, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I usually count the debuts of the non-CotDs as Pokémon seen on the island. However, seeing your point, it would be best to remove them all. PattyMan 18:03, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Userspace policy

Please note that the states Userpages are personal pages, and are not to be edited by other users unless prior permisson has been given. Instances in which this is permitted include, but are not limited to, broken links that appear on the wanted pages, duplicate images on the Archives, uncategorizing a userpage categorized in a category it should clearly not be in, reverting vandalism, etc. You violated that policy when you took it upon yourself to make this edit. You should have notified a staff member and let them take care of it, not try to correct them by removing the content yourself. Please keep this in mind during the future. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 02:28, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I am very sorry. That was not my intention of course. I thought someone had forgotten to remove that, as that user didn't create that page, even admitted that him/herself. But I shouldn't have done that. Won't happen again. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:51, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

Sorting in categories

Personally, I prefer to use {{DEFAULTSORT:Juniper, Cedric}} over putting the same text in each individual category. --SnorlaxMonster 17:00, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

And by that you mean? I'm sorry, a lot of anime character pages miss that Anime characters category, but if there's a better way than how I'm doing it right now, I'd like to hear it of course. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:03, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I was a bit vague there. For example, rather than putting "Davis, Alex" in all the category links like this, I think it's a better idea to use DEFAULTSORT like this. --SnorlaxMonster 17:06, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Ah ok, I get what you mean now. I did the former thing because that's how it was already on a lot of these pages, but I'll use the method you recommend then instead. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:08, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

My Explanation

Hello, i'm PokeSerbia. I'm from the Serbia. I wanted that i'm not good at english lanaguage because i'm not native from the US/UK/Canada and i'm from serbia as my users suggest. I do wanted to improve my grammar, but i still had yet to do. I'm sorry for what i'm doing it for reason. I wanted to fix the plot but some of my bad grammar i'm you and others reverting because of my ignorance of Bulbapedia system.

For what i would, i wanted to add that the Panchau's species was originally Naughthy Pokemon but some users made share species and i wanted to add origin spescies was Naugthy Pokemon.

I'm very very very very very very sorry for my bad gramaar for i'm not native. - unsigned comment from PokeSerbia (talkcontribs)

Re: Uploading Pictures

In response to your message, as I explained before, I did in fact check the Archives for any answers I could find, but yet, none I found. Is there any other possible way to upload pictures? Whenever I do, it says:

"You do not have permission to create new pages."

Even though I actually do have permission to create pages, even though I don't want to create a page in this case in the first place, that's what I get whenever I want to add a picture :/ - unsigned comment from MatrVincent (talkcontribs)

It's probably because you're not Autoconfirmed. As it says in the Archives FAQ under "How do I upload?", you need to have made a certain amount of edits on already existing files. Getting to edit your userspace on Bulbapedia works the same way as you may have noticed you weren't able to create your own userpage right away. The exact number of edits to be made to become Autoconfirmed is actually a secret. As I'm not active on the Archives myself I suggest sending a message to an Archives admin asking what you can help with or what files you could edit.
Oh and it's important to sign your messages. This is done with typing four of these: ~ Happy editing! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 03:08, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Discussion of Fennekin's Psyshock

Where is this discussion going on cuz I can't find it. And, really, what other move could it be besides "Psyshock"? No other move fits the description, and we can't just wait until Serena uses Fennekin in battle because god knows how long will it take..--Omojuzeforever (talk) 16:35, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

The discussion is not taking place here on Bulbapedia. I've talked it over with G50 who is a Senior Administrator and we've both come to the conclusion that it's wise to leave it unconfirmed for now. I'm sorry, but if we went by everything that isn't called out directly we would be making a lot of assumptions and Bulbapedia wouldn't be a very trustworthy place. Maybe the higher staff will still decide to consider it confirmed as being Psyshock, but if not, we'll just have to wait to a future instance where the move is directly commanded by Serena, unfortunately. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:42, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
Ok, got it.. Fair enough, just saying that its pretty clear that the move was Psyshock, but I guess we can wait.--Omojuzeforever (talk) 16:51, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Good News

Refer to the Meyer/Blaziken Mask discussion above.

We're good for a merge. Just chatted with User:Force Fire over on his talk page about it and he confirms we're clear now to go ahead and merge it. Before doing so, I wanted to see some of your opinions on going about the merge. I'm headed to bed right now and don't think I'd be able to do a complete job in my present state of mind, but I will be looking at it in the morning while I'm stationed at home for a while before I take off for the afternoon and already have some ideas for it.

If I don't see you respond by morning (which is fine, maybe you're in bed too), I'll go ahead and put my ideas into practice and you can still contribute after the fact. I merely wanted to ask your thoughts now, while I'm asleep, before going ahead, and would take that into consideration. =) CycloneGU (talk) 05:16, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Movie characters category

Hey Blazingfist, I just added the Anime characters category into the {{moviecharacters}} template, so there will be no need to add said category to each individual page. The only issue one might have with this is if we don't consider the movie Pokémon to be under that category; if that's the case, you could revert my edit. Just thought I'd let you know. ht14 15:58, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing this up, I had no idea to be honest. But I'm checking some pages I haven't done yet and the anime characters category doesn't show up with some. Maybe it takes some time but I'll check later if any pages still need it. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:00, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Haha, I just put it up once I noticed what you're doing, specifically with the movie characters, so you're right, it will take some time. Just remove the category for the movie characters; sorry for having to make you edit those pages again ^^; As a side note, the default cat thing you removed... it's so weird that it's there in the first place... ht14 16:03, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I see. Dang, now I'll have to undo everything >.< I'll get to that later. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:05, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I mean, I could do it instead if you'd like; it's just that I don't want to interrupt your flow, that's all. ht14 16:07, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
If you don't mind, that'd be good. I have other things to do soon anyway. But make sure not just to hit the undo button with every page, since I also removed these Defaultsort things on some pages that were definitely not needed. Thanks! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:10, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

Berry baker kids

I placed the {{unknown name}} template of the Berry baker kids page because they weren't given real names such as Emily, Brad, Alan, and so on. To me, berry baker kids sounds like an occupation they're being referred to. PattyMan 01:39, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

To me it seems more like the name of their "baking group", rather than an occupation. Anyway, the dubbers decided to use this in place of "Toraya siblings", so it should be treated as the official name. The {template|unknown name}} would imply they have no known name at all, which isn't true, since they were referred to as this in the episode. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:02, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Ok then. As for the Nurse Joy an Officer Jenny pages I posted above, you can fix the wording and stuff if you find some of it not making sense. PattyMan 01:00, 2 July 2014 (UTC)

Heroes - Friends and Faux Alike!

Hello, I saw you reverted my edit in XY030 by putting the English name of the previous episode instead of the "XY029" epicode. As I explained in the edit summary, the English name shouldn't be put if its a Japan-only event (in this case, the one-hour special), but rather just the epicode. I'd like to know if there's there any reason to put the English title again, since you might have not been aware of that, or I could be as well wrong. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 20:08, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

My apologies, I didn't check the history so I didn't even notice you had undone anything. Well, all the other couple of episodes that aired right after each other do have the dub title even if they aired only together in Japan. I automatically deduced this was the right thing to do for XY029 and XY030 as well. Personally it weirdens me if only the epicode is shown on a page that represents both the original version and the dub, unlike when it's on a page that's original version only like for a Japanese opening or ending. But perhaps you're right, since it does refer to something that applies to the original version only. Perhaps it's best to ask a higher-up admin about this as I'm not completely sure. In any case, if the latter applies then all the other dub titles on pages of episodes that didn't air together in the English dub should be removed as well. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:27, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

How to make new pages

Look, blaze.I'm Sladoled and literally the only reason I've joined bulbapedia is to make an article on Conway's Slowking.Could you clarify to me how to do it? - unsigned comment from Sladoled (talkcontribs)

You can only create pages once you're autoconfirmed. You'll become autoconfirmed once your account has been active for a while and once you've made a certain amount of edits (the exact number is a secret). That being said, Conway's Slowking is not deemed notable enough for its own article. It only had a couple of appearances and didn't show enough personality. In fact, other users have made pages for it before, but they were deleted by the Staff. Still, there are enough other things you can do on Bulbapedia. Check what Wanted Pages there are for example. There are also articles that are too short, so-called Stubs. Then we have articles needing improvement, and articles needing more information (in the latter, it's usually a short bit of information that's missing). Enjoy your time here and I wish you good luck finding things to edit on Bulbapedia. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:19, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the help blaze, and I think that Slowking has shown more personality than pokémon like Sakura's Espeon and you should really consider letting the article exist.Just for the sake of awesome. - unsigned comment from Sladoled (talkcontribs)

You're welcome. Check this to see what requirements a Pokémon needs to get an own page. In the section I linked, especially check point 3. While Slowking may be considered Conway's signature Pokémon, it didn't have any major impact in the episodes it appeared in or in the series as a whole. Sakura's Espeon did, and this is why it does have a page and Conway's Slowking does not. Also, please remember to sign your comments. You do this by leaving four tildes like this: ~~~~. Finally, you linked to Slowking's page like this: [[p|Slowking]]. The correct way is {{p|Slowking}}. In the future, please use the latter when linking to Pokémon. Thanks. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 11:14, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

Elite Four Members and Champions

Hey Blazingfist,

I'm not trying to be rude, but I've got a question. On the Elite Four page, it lists that Ash has met Lance. I edited it awhile back, adding that Ash has met Diantha. Lance is listed as a Champion on the aforementioned page, so why doesn't it count that Ash met Diantha in The Bonds of Evolution!? - unsigned comment from WATERWARRIOR67 (talkcontribs)

It's because that page lists Lance as Elite Four. I know it's a bit confusing, but back in Gen I Lance was of course still Elite Four. That page counts Lance as being part of the Gen I Elite Four too (even though he was referred to as a Champion in the episodes he appeared in). Trivia

On the Rota page, I was guessing. I wasn't really awake when I typed it. I meant to type that it shares its name with the island of Rota, considering it's a real place. I don't know how I keep screwing the simple things up. WATERWARRIOR67 (talk) 17:10, 9 August 2014 (UTC)WATERWARRIOR67

I undid your edit there because I really doubt that's where they got the name Rota from. It sharing the name of a real-life island can also be a coincidence. If the real-life Rota were a medieval-themed town with a castle, yes then it would've been very likely to be the name origin. Since it's a tropical island instead, I really doubt it. Be aware that a lot of the trivia you've added over the past few weeks has been removed, for the simple reason these bits of trivia were not notable enough, or too unfounded. Before you add trivia, always ask yourself if it's notable enough or if the trivia is actually true or based on loose thoughts instead. If you're really not sure, you can always propose the trivia on the talk page of the page you want to add the trivia to, so others can decide if it is indeed notable enough. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:22, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

One, I wish that were the case with Rota; I'm really into history and cultural stuff like that. Two, what do you mean by too unfounded. And three, by "others", who do you mean? - unsigned comment from WATERWARRIOR67 (talkcontribs)

With unfounded I mean that a lot of the trivia you've come up with so far has been very doubtful. Like characters being named after singers or bands, or a medieval town like Rota being named after a real-life tropical island. A lot of them seemed to be based on loose thoughts rather than factual information or likeliness. It's best to only add trivia if it's completely factual or at least very likely. Other trivia you added simply wasn't notable enough. That's why I said you could bring your trivia additions up on talk pages before you add them, just to be sure it's noteworthy, or plausible. With others I simply mean other users. And you've been told before, but please sign your comments. Thanks. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:57, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Misty

Might want to check out the last few edits to Misty by Spluff5. A number of team alterations that don't look immediately wrong, but seeing as their first edit to the page was replacing one set with information from a fake game (which they then reverted), I'm incredulous. glikglak 20:38, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

I had my doubts too, but the thing they did with changing Corsola into Quagsire is actually correct; Misty does have a Quagsire, and not a Corsola in her HGSS rematch team. I'm still not sure about the other info they added such as the moves and items, but I'll check if that is correct or not. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 20:48, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Dub titles

How come XY036's title was dub title was deleted it was from a legible source: Source:

http://www.tvinfo.de/fernsehprogramm/245310938-pokemon-die-tv-serie-xy And no air dates were provided.- unsigned comment from Pichu911 (talkcontribs)

Because Adyniz, who is a Bureaucrat here and watches over the dub title reveals, has said we have to consider these two unconfirmed for now. Bulbapedia is unfamiliar with this source. What if we add all those titles now and they don't turn out to be true? That would be a mess, and this has happened before (I speak out of experience). The official CN schedule with the titles for the month of September should come within 10 days, so let's just wait for that and then we'll see if they turn out to be true. And please sign your comments. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 09:52, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Tricks to bypass the CDN cache

Please do not use the "trick" of changing the image size by one pixel to force the CDN to change the image. Images will update when they update, and should not be forced wiki-side. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 22:53, 6 September 2014 (UTC)

Clemontic Gear

Hello, you commented on the picture for the Motivation Machine that it would be better to wait until a confirmation of the names before uploading, so it wouldn't be necessary to move it later. I suggest that, instead of that, we could just name them "Clemontic Gear XYxxx" temporarily, but instead of moving it to a translation of its Japanese name, we could wait until the dub version to air and then move it to its English name. I believe this could save work and time, all while we could still list the Japanese names and translation on the article itself.

Also, is there any specific requirements for userspace articles to be moved to the main space? Because your page is pretty good and I'm worried if its moving stretches out too long. I mean, there are articles like N's Hideout that still haven't been moved to mainspace, even if by now, the information is not as required as it would have been back in the day when it first appeared. I wouldn't want that to happen to the Clemontic Gear page, specially since I haven't really seen any discussion about articles that should be moved to mainspace.

By the way, I have a doubt about the Mega Volt opening header picture. As you can see by its history, I had a little edit war with Ataro (yes, I'm sorry about that, it wasn't called for), since he said that due to the title of the opening, we should use a picture that has something "Mega" on it, instead of the screenshot I considered better. The thing is, leaving that aside, said "Mega" header picture isn't used anymore in the opening sequence, as it was replaced along with other scenes. Is it okay if the head picture for the opening is from a scene that isn't used on it? I ask because we could use that picture in our usual "Variant" section instead, and I asked Ataro about this on his talk page, but he didn't seem to answer me. --Gabo 2oo (talk) 23:42, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

I think that might be a better idea indeed, as you're right having to move from Japanese to dub is also kinda unnecessary moving. Fine with me.
I don't know the specific requirements for it to be moved to the mainspace. I think in most cases, or at least the most important ones, the Editorial Board has the final say. But sometimes it might also be any higher-up admins who make the decision. I'd also see it moved rather soon, I'll bring it up on the talk page.
I'm not sure if I should participate in this discussion, also because I'm only a Junior Admin on Bulbapedia, not on the Archives, so I have little to say there. My advice is to still bring it up with Ataro, and if he doesn't respond maybe send him a reminder. And otherwise you should bring it up with Kogoro. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 10:07, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

A Question on Creating Pages

Hi, I'm new (It took me a while to find the edit button...) and I just have a quick question. How long after creating an account must you wait until you are allowed to create a page? I'm itching to create one that (surprisingly) doesn't even exist yet! Thanks, hjk321 14:22, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello hjk321. First off, welcome to Bulbapedia. If you have problems finding things out around here, I'd suggest having a look at the FAQ. But asking another user is always a good idea too of course. To answer your question: you need to make a certain number of edits, and your account must have been registered for a certain while. For both requirements I don't know the exact numbers, as this is a secret known by only a few. I'd suggest just to start editing. The numbers to meet those requirements shouldn't be too high. Just edit away and eventually you'll become autoconfirmed, which means you'll be allowed to create pages, among other things. To give some ideas as to what you could edit, I'd suggest checking out the Editor's Hub. Also check out the Manual of Style. The latter is a good guide on general editing. If you have an idea for a page, it's always a good idea to create it in your userspace first. If it is deemed complete and Bulbapedia-worthy, it can be mainspaced. But, to create your userspace you need to become autoconfirmed as well. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask them to me, or any other staff member. I'd be happy to answer. Have a good time around here, and happy editing! ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 17:04, 16 February 2015 (UTC)

Luxio's English dub VA Help

Do you know who voiced Clemont's Luxio in the English version? I thought it was Sarah but ForceFire said it's not. Could you help find out who it is? I'm didn't get any luck finding who it is. --JasonL 14:01, 7 March 2015 (UTC) JasonL (Talk)

I'm sorry, I have no idea. I'm not the right person to ask about voice actors. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 14:14, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

Crunch typo

Your Salamence appears to have a typo with the move Crunch. I would have done it but seeing that you are active on the 'pedia, I'm leaving it to you. PattyMan 23:40, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Whoops, thanks! I did preview, but I must have overseen it. I'll fix it right away. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 23:57, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

Watt's move

I was informed by SnorlaxMonster before that we shouldn't be moving pages if a character's dubname is the same as a later character's Japanese name since the dub name of said later character may be different and moving them back would be a lot to handle. The move of Hoenn's Watt is an example as it was moved too early. I went ahead and added a move tag to Hoenn's Watt. PattyMan 15:59, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Oh, I was never aware of that rule. Then it should be moved back I guess. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:01, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Indeed, I too wasn't aware about it at first. These things happen, nothing personal. :) PattyMan 16:10, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
I was going to bring this up, but looks like you already know. It's not really a formal rule, it's just something I've suggested before and got other staff to support (including Kenji-girl). It's probably a good idea to get to this written down properly somewhere (like Bulbapedia:Manual of style/Anime). --SnorlaxMonster 16:20, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll certainly keep it in mind for the future. Bringing it up in the MoS would be a good idea if you ask me, as while it is rather logical when you think about it, I think this is something other users might also easily overlook. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:23, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Oh, and also, there's not much point moving it back now. The idea is that moving it then necessitates moving it back later if the dub name differs (like it often does). Since you've already moved it, moving it back would defeat the point (esp. if the name ends up the same in English). --SnorlaxMonster 16:25, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
Figures. Might the dub name change anyway, I'll gladly help undo the Hoenn Watt's links. Luckily enough Watt was the only one called by name directly in the episode, so we won't have to wait a long time to obtain the dub name through some other source. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 16:29, 14 March 2015 (UTC)
