In Reality

Matt is a young man with interests somewhat unusual for his age; though he shares an enthusiasm for video games with much of his generation, his tastes in other areas skew older than many. As stated earlier, he does have a very close partner in his life.

Random Pokémon info

Matt's favorite Pokémon game region is, unusually, Orre, with Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness sitting near the top of his favorite game list.

He likes to trade on the GTS and is an enthusiast for double battles and especially tag battles.

Interests in Video Games

Matt is a lifelong video game player, with his first games being Super Mario World and a Thomas the Tank Engine game at the beginning of the Super Nintendo era, when he was about two and a half. This would go on to instill a strong brand loyalty to Nintendo.

He is also an avid fan of the Pokémon series from the very earliest days. Ironically his first exposure was the news report of the Electronic Soldier Porygon! incident in Japan, which nearly caused him to avoid the series, but he bought the Blue Version the day it came out and has been a fan ever since.

Matt's favorite genres are platformers and RPGs, with some of his other favorite games being the Banjo-Kazooie series, Super Mario RPG, and obscurities Plok! and Aero the Acro-Bat.

Other Interests

Matt is a classic television enthusiast particularly interested in the game show genre. He grew up watching The Price is Right and is a fan of Match Game, Hollywood Squares, Press Your Luck and Pyramid.

Outside of game shows he enjoys surreal/unusual humor such as South Park, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and in movies, the Harold and Kumar series.

Perhaps one of his biggest obsessions is with 70s Swedish pop supergroup ABBA. He owns a complete collection of just about every song ever widely released by the band, including the rare, originally unreleased I Am The City.
