| "Unpatrolled" edits will display a <font color="red">'''!'''</font> on [[Special:Recentchanges]]. To patrol an edit, usually you'll need to click "(diff)" and, after reviewing the edit, click <nowiki>"[Mark as patrolled]"</nowiki>. This will apply only to that specific edit. For newly created articles, <nowiki>"[Mark this article as patrolled]"</nowiki> will appear on the page itself. This system is apparently an anti-vandalism measure. There appears to be nothing to prevent a user from "patrolling" their own edits.
