Pokémon Live Action is a series of short films produced and directed by Fábio Powers. They were filmed and released in 2008-2012. In these films, the human actors and scenes of action were filmed in real life, but the Pokémon and various special effects were done with computers. The Pokémon animations were mostly taken and/or edited from 3D games, such as Pokémon Stadium and Super Smash Bros Brawl.

In addition to three full-length movies, Fábio Powers has also produced a short Live Action clip that was presented at the Pokéday 2013 event.

It is so far uncertain whether new Pokémon Live Action movies will ever come out or not.

O Vírus Misterioso (English: The Mysterious Virus) is the first movie in the "Pokémon Live Action" movie series. It was first released in YouTube on June 10, 2008.

This movie features the start of Flávio Jorge's Pokémon journey.

Plot

Flávio José Lourenço Jorge is a young Portugese boy who wishes to become a Pokémon Trainer. However, when his mother is finally ready to let him go on a journey, he is unable to get his starter Pokémon, because a mysterious virus has been making Pokémon, both wild and trained ones, go on rampages all around the world. Thankfully Flávio's cousin, Carlos Mates, who became the first Portugese to win the Pokémon League in 30 years in the year before, sends him a Totodile to start his journey with, along with several Poké Balls and a Pokédex. During his journey, Flávio meets a Trainer named Pedro, who becomes his friend and companion. They soon find themselves in a hot spot, as a mysterious organization tries to get its hands on Flávio's Totodile, which seems to be immune to the virus.

O Destino de um Herói (English: Destiny of a Hero) is the second movie in the "Pokémon Live Action" movie series. It was first released in YouTube on June 28, 2009.

In this movie, Flávio continues his journey with his friends, facing an odd and mysterious kind of threat.

Plot

Flávio Jorge has been on his Pokémon journey for quite a while, and has greatly improved in skill as a Pokémon Trainer. He even manages to find himself a new traveling companion, a beginner Trainer named Sofia. However, a new threat is looming around them, as wild Pokémon start attacking people all over the country for no appearent reason, even though the Pokémon disease was supposed to be cured. Not only that, but also their old enemy, Carmén Araújo, is after them again. Everything finally begins to unravel as it turns out that the cause of all the wild Pokémon rampages is a mysterious data Pokémon known as Missingno., which seems to have an unexplainable attachment to Flávio.

Pokémon Reborn - Lucario VS Charizard is a four-minute short first published on July 18, 2013. It was filmed to be presented at the Pokéday 2013 event.

Despite Fábio Powers having stated that A Luz da Esperança would be the final Pokémon Live Action movie, he stated in this short's info that he did a new bit because he couldn't resist at doing some more, also aknowledging the high popularity of the movies and the fans' desire for more of them.

Plot

Flávio has been missing for months, without anyone knowing where he is. Carlos is worried about him and a possible new threat, while Daniel wants to test his skills in a battle.
